D.E.D. Dead!
The group completely dessimate the spider creature!
You have a feeling the last floor, will be way too difficult without some rest and maybe a stop in the town. The sounds eminating tells you that it might be a good idea to leave for now
Okay, this is just so you can get the gear when the WBL is evened out. Then we can finish the little run
Okay, rest and the sort happened, you come back to the tower, it has not changed much from the time you left. I take it you go up the stairs?

We previously heard sounds eminating from above. What sort of sounds are we talking about? I will listen dilligently.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
I will also have the following spells running:
Light ( duration 80 minutes )
Detect Magic ( concentration )
Ant Haul ( cast on Martin, lasts 16 hours )
You seem to hear pots and pans, clattering, and you think you hear a humming sound too. Something is humming! It is an up beat sound though, like what ever it is is having fun or at least enjoying themselves

Bartleby will whisper to the rest of the group, "Shall we cast some preliminary protective spells and charge in?"
- INACTIVE -
Kale nods, then begins downing potions, muttering, and tapping himself and Amir with a wand.
As he mutters, his teeth grow longer and sharper.
Casting Lead Blades on himself, then casting Savage Maw on himself, then casting Barkskin on Amir and himself, and then drinking potion of Blur and Potion of Shield of Faith.

"Indeed, little friend." Janji goes around slapping people with spells.
Casts Invisibility on Bartleby and Blur on Kale and Amir.
- INACTIVE -
Since Kale quaffed a potion of Blur, you can cast it on someone else--maybe Riggar? I don't know.
HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)
Riggar, checks to make sure his armor and new cloak and securely strapped to his stocky frame. He touches his hammer twice and imbues it with the magical ability to hurt ghost and other incorporeal creatures.
He then goes over to Kale, and touches his preferred weapon twice, giving it the same ability.
Both my hammer and Kale's main weapon have the "ghost touch" magical ability for the next 6 minutes. I have 1 use of Forge Rune left

My bad! Make that a Blur for riggar

Bartleby will cast Bull's Strength on Kale and Martin.
Shield of Faith on himself and Martin.
Then Divine Trident.
All these spells last 8 minutes or 80 rounds of combat.
I plan to cast the shorter duration spells once combat is for sure. Riggar I can do Prayer, and I have a few other party benefit type spells.
HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)
I will cast bless (lasts 60 minutes, +1 morale bonus to attack/saves vs fear).
I will also cast Weapon of Awe on Kale's primary weapon as well. {lasts 6 minutes)
after prep, you move up the stairs?
As you get to the next floor, it is not what you expected. It looks like a mess hall. But it's spotless. Not anything like the previous floors. There seems to be a very delicious smell coming from the kitchen, where you now can hear the humming and the sounds of dishes being used
Then almost immediately it stops and out comes a... man? He is dressed in chefs clothing. A spatula in one hand. But the strange thing is. A hole in his head and a missing eye
"Welcome to my kitchen!" He greets you

"Area you friend or foe?"
Bartleby, being invisible, appears as a high pitched disembodied voice, eminating from Martin.
- INACTIVE -
"We are not here for your kitchen."

The undead looking creature looks around then focuses his eye on the one who spoke
"I am a cook. To those who like food, I am their best friend, to those who don't eat, well, they don't know me, and the critiques. .. well. Bah to them!"
He chuckles
"So? How may I serve you? Please excuse me, food will be served slower, it seems the staff has left. Only I am working in the kitchen at the moment"

"Do you serve the mistress of the tower?"
Trying to determine if this guy belongs here or not...
i know =^^=
"In a way. I use to be her cook...2 or 3 hundred years ago... i think. Then i had a very unfortunate accident with one of the meals i had to acquire.... She said she liked my cooking... so she brought me back"
He looks at each of you
"So? Sitting down for a meal? I have lots of ingredients i need to use before they go off. I do not wish for it to go to waste"

"That depends, good chef. What spices do you have at the moment? And do you have any specialties?"
- INACTIVE -
We are here in service of the mistress. The tower has been invaded and we are here to remove the invaders. None of us are hungry.
"Spices you know and don't know. I know more about food than most. I've been cooking for a very long time" He grins

"We were sent here to clean out vermin and monsters. Can you point us to any trouble up here?" Being somewhat amused, Bartleby tries to make it seems like Martin is doing the talking, using prestidigitation from his cloak to assist as able.
EDIT: Oops Kale already posted the same thing.
perception check Mr invisible ;)
"oh. I few came this way. They tried to mess with my kitchen. They didn't succeed"
He then looks up
"I think there might be a monster 3 floors up. Other than that. Not much that I know"

Harrumph! Bartleby narrows his eyes suspiciously at the undead chef.
"I say we skeedaddle up the stairs while our spells are running still." Bartleby guides Martin to the stairs with his undead cats in tow.
"Well, good luck, guess the food is going to spoil." He waves you off

Bartleby proceeds right to the top level unless something dangerous stops him on the way.
so skipping the alchemy floor? Well then...
You pass the floor with a whole lot of alchemy stuff. But oddest part was the fact that the floor is covered in grass
You head up to the next floor.
everyone following? Just need to know where everyone is

Kale already said he was following Bartleby.

very well. Then continuing
You go up the stairs and into the next level. Around are mirrors. Top. Bottom. Walls. Everywhere. Also. Now you notice. No way up. And no way down.

"Hmmmm..." squeaks Bartleby as he starts looking around, maybe some of the mirrors move or rotate or are illusions. Does detect magic reveal anything?

Kale frowns, unsure what to do.

Ah hell, what'd we be getting ourselves into?, as he gets a little dizzy from the mass amount of mirrors and reflections.
The mirrors are mirrors for what you can see, no illusions.
Male Halfling Cleric 10 - Speed 20, Init +7, AC: 31, T:21 FF:24 HP:110/110 Fort: +13 Reflex:+13 Will:+14 CMD: 18 | Perc: +6
Bartleby will wander the room on Martin trying to get the mirrors to trigger or conjure something. He will try to interact with them, although he is tiny and weak. He is also still invisible, but Martin ( and others ) are not.
- INACTIVE -
Kale will look around for any seams in the mirrors.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
He finds nothing. The mirrors only connect on the floor and on the roof, no where else
Does he touch the mirrors? yes yes, DM asks a question like that, everyone holds their breaths =^^=
Male Halfling Cleric 10 - Speed 20, Init +7, AC: 31, T:21 FF:24 HP:110/110 Fort: +13 Reflex:+13 Will:+14 CMD: 18 | Perc: +6
Bartleby's invisible voice whispers "Doooo it........Touch the mirror!"
If Kale doesn't touch a mirror, Bartleby will crawl up Martin close to a mirror and he will guide Martin's hand/paw so that he and Martin will touch a mirror together.
will roll either way then :P
As you reach out and touch the mirror, something, not sure if the mirror or another unseen force, grabs your arm

What ever it is, it holds on tight and it starts to drag you into the mirror. It's very cold.
