This is the recruitment thread for a run of
Pathfinder Society Quest #8: Shadows of the Black Sovereign. This quest has no tags and it is NOT repeatable without spending a replay.

Start Date: January 29, 2025 (or as soon as I have four players, whichever is later.)

Recruiting: First posted, first seated. I will be using RPGChronicles as the sign-up list. See post below.

Game Expectations: I ask for a posting rate of a minimum of once per day during the business week and at least once over the weekend, though I realize (and expect) that real life can get in the way of fun at times and that not all players will be able to meet that pace. I expect folks to occasionally be unavailable for a period of time. If I know that I will be unavailable for some reason for more than 24 hours (or 48 over a weekend), I will post such. I request and expect all players to do the same.

I reserve the right to bot players who do not post anything within a 24-hour period and will request each player have botting instructions in place before the end of the first briefing.

This is the Discussion thread for the table of Bounty #12 for GM School.

This Pathfinder Bounty is designed for 1st-level characters and each of you will need to select or create a legal PFS character to play in this adventure.

I selected this bounty because it has a number of elements that I have found that can be particularly challenging and/or interesting in PbP, including: 1) exploration, 2) a dungeon crawl, 3) an interactive NPC, 4) randomized elements, 5) multiple combat encounters, 6) multiple hazards, 7) opportunities to add additional world lore, and 8) instances requiring GM discretion.

I will be running this scenario a bit differently than I usually do, in order to sort of "pull back the GM screen" and showing the decision making processes for GMs.

Background:

Cimrôdel, a native of Magnimar, has not been back to his home city for nearly 20 years. Shortly after his majority, he joined the Pathfinder Society, and was immediately sent off to the Grand Lodge in Absalom, where he has worked for nearly two decades cataloging the reports and travels of other Agents.
