Peeko retrieves Saul's missing tooth and lands on the investigator's forearm before dropping it into his palm.

Peeko lands on Jhen's nose spreading his wings and attempting to make himself big by fluffing up and bellowing, "Peeko will pull your entrails out of your butts you cheeky tooth plucking murder bats! Peeko pulls your entrails out your butts!" Sadly the creatures do not appear to be properly intimidated, no doubt unable to understand Peeko's verbose repartee.
"Ahahaha, you never hit Peeko, you stuuuupid flying thingemy! Hahahah, never hit Peeko!" Peeko taunts cheerfully as he dodges the creatures bite.
Peeko bellows, "Attack, attack! Flying murder goblins! Peeko helps! Peeko helps!" With a twittering battle cry the thrush descends placing himself in front of one of the creatures that has yet to act and begins hissing and squarking at the creature trying to keep it away from Jhen.
"Hahaha, no use hugging Peeko fat wet worm, Peeko eats you soon, when Peeko wakes up.... Peeko eats.... Peeko wakes.... Up.... Later..."
"Pfft, as if you never catch the magnificent Peeko, you smelly mongrel bag of fleas! You never catch Peeko! You have not even seen Peeko's stealth score it is so high! Peeko's stealth is super high! Now go away and eat horse poop, you slobbering stinky cartchasing wannabe wolf!"
"What!!! No, no, kind Master, Peeko was joking, ahahahahaha! Peeko was joking, then Peeko will only have... Two hundred worms? Peeko will not have enough worms!"
"Pffft! Peeko wonders why are you telling lies Master? Peeko wonders. Your Mother is a big fat Harry's Den! Are you trying to stop this haughty one from, stealing you, ahahahahahaha! Master is getting stolen, ahahahahahaha!"
"Grahahahahaha, sit you stupid fleabag! Peeko is sulking because there are too many shiny birds! They don't need shiny birds they have Peeko! Peeko is sulking, and now Peeko has to deal with another smelly canine! Peeko deal with you! You just wait until Peeko can deliver touch spells! Peeko delivers one right up your bum! Stupid dog!" Peeko shrieks darting up to a high place where he can glare furiously at the hound.
"They cannot have any of Peeko's worms! Peeko is very rich, and you cannot have ANY of his worms! You should eat gross people food, you cannot have Peekos!." Peeko screeches sounding like a sullen toddler.
"Peeko told you already, Peeko told you. But no claws they have hands, hands." Peeko replies sulkily.
Peeko flits forward stealthily and observes the scene before attempting to head back to the group.
"Peeko is not talking to you, because your hair is stupid! Peeko is not talking!" The thrush hisses fluffing up angrily as he lands upon the birdman's body and gives it a vicious peck.
"Peeko will peck the eyes out of anyone who mentions this again! Peeko pecks! Did not happen... Did not happen to Peeko. Stupid Master's stupid girl hair. Stupid."
"Peeko does not want to. Peeko does not want! You have new stupid magic metal birds do it! Stupid silver ravens!"
Could we get a description of the interior of the stable? Is it basically an open room, or are there stalls, etc. Is there a door? If so is it one of those stable doors a horse can peer over? Salonius would like to shut said door and fire over it if that seemed viable - i doubt it, but you do not get if you do not ask :)
Safe amidst the rafters Peeko glares down imperiously, "Shut up you stupid mutt! Peeko is a familiar you stinky arse licking mongrel! Peeko is a familiar! You are a bag of fleas! Stupid dog! Peeko is rich! You are a poor! Peeko is rich! Ahahahaha!" His point made the thrush shoots out, taking care to stay amidst the rafters and ensuring he takes a roundabout route to avoid drawing vengeful hounds towards his fragile Master. "Master, also Saul, and whoever the heck this guy is, Peeko was brave and found four mangey dogs and a rat! Peeko is brave! the stupid dog barked at Peeko, but Peeko told him waht was what! Peeko told him!"
Peeko chirps affirmatively and flies up onto the dilapidated roof taking his time searching for a means of entry. If he finds one he makes use of it to move stealthily in, otherwise he simply flits in and rushes into the crossbeams overhead to hide. if he remains unassaulted he takes a few minutes to survey the stable and its occupants.
Peeko flies over and begins savagely pecking at the throat of one of the unconscious thugs, "Peeko takes you out before Master notices, you poop person! Ahahaha! Peeko takes you out!"
"Peeko squashes you like a juicy bug, you impotent worm! Peeko squashes you!" The familiar bellows as he follows along inside his Master's illusion, staying within the head well out of range of melee weapons.
Ahahahahahahahahahaharrrr! Peeko has an appropriate avatar! Peeko is an avatar!"
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHRRR! Tremble before the owl inspiring might of Peeko! Bwahahahaha! Peeko regularly feasts upon ten or more at a time! Peeko feasts! Squirm for Peeko trembling mortals Peeko likes his food to squirm! Squirm for Peeko!" Peeko bellows at the top of his lungs, from his position flying in the "owlbear's head" Operation Big Bird is the most fun of the operations! Peeko has fun!
"Ha, you never catch Peeko, Peeko is the sneakiest! Peeko is sneaky, you never catch him!" "Peeko does not need to roll for such a low DC! Peeko does not even need to roll, ahahahaha!"
*sulky voice* "Peeko poops in her hair, Peeko poops!"

"Peeko goes now! Peeko brings Master to Saul's deterctorist shop tomorrow morning! Peeko goes!" The thrush whispers before leaping off Saul's shoulder and darting out of the door as a customer leaves. Not sneaky at all! People are too huge, they would be more cautious if they had to always worry about being squishable. Taking a few minutes to sense Salonius's location through their bond Peeko heads for the Barridan house. Seeing that his Master has left his bedroom window ajar he bursts in excitedly, "Master, Peeko is here! Peeko is here Master! Peeko was very brave! Peeko is the bravest!"
"Peeko will go then to avoid the problem of Peeko's nemisis - the door handle. Stupid doors get in Peeko's way, Peeko is always waiting for stupid doors," the bird grumbles.
"Peeko will go, but Master is cautious, so Peeko thinks he heads home well before curfew. Saul can come, or Peeko can bring Master tomorrow? Peeko is not sure though, maybe you will all get arrested without Peeko... They are not very sneaky..." The thrush whispers, a hint of concern in his tone.
Peeko jumps hissing in Saul's ear excitedly, "Master feels relief! Big relief! Master is happy and less scared! Peeko thinks Master is free! Peeko thinks!"
"Pffft, shows what you know, Witches loooove Peeko. They are all familiars are so great, teach me some spells familiar. But Peeko does not think she is a real witch Peeko thinks you are being face eatchus. Besides Peeko is the best at hiding and your head is enormous so Peeko just thrushes - like ducking, but better - into your collar and nobody knows. Peeko is the best at hiding."
Peeko akes sure the wait staff are not looking and swoops down onto Saul's shoulder whispering to the investigator, "Peeko knows that book your Baby is reading! Master has it and hides it in another cover, "101 Ways to Harvest Bark", because it is a trouble book. Peeko thinks it is stupid to read it out in the open unless you want an all expenses paid trip to the stinky Dottari cells. Peeko thinks."
Peeko watches on bemused, having flitted in and alighted upon the rafters. Ugh, Peeko should probably not talk in this place? They might shoo Peeko out? So Peeko hides and watches the strange people being strange. Peeko hides.
Finding Saul's strange activities exceedingly dull, and largely unfathomable Peeko follows along at a distance - since his Master told him to. He flitters about in the periphery of Saul's vision not deigning to interfere, and snagging a few conspicuous bugs with the air of one doing them a favour Peeko is very rich, so Peeko does not really need to eat you - Peeko is rich - but Peeko eats you anyway. Spying Alamara he chirps a greeting landing on her shoulder and whispering, "Friends are better than sisters, sisters are very bossy and unfair. Master has seven sisters and one of them made Peeko wear clothes!"
Peeko returns to Saul's place of business and after hopping about outside for a while follows a Noble woman inside hopping discretely up onto a shelf out of her view and watching. When the woman asks for references he tilts his head to look at Saul inquiringly. Peeko can give a reference?
Peeko curious, and enjoying the thrill of being a spy decides to follow the guards home, curious as to where they are being barracked. He flits between rooftops and chimneys prepared to drop his pursuit instantly if his targets show a hint of suspicion. Peeko spies on you, what you going to do? Peeko is so sneaky! You can't see his beak-y! Peeko is sneaky beaky!
"Ahahahaha! You are a nice Lady! Good character. Peeko approves! Peeko approves of you," Peeko leans in to chin skritches, his eyes almost closing in contentment. "But Peeko cannot ride Peeko needs to maintain his.. anon... anomanity? Uh, Peeko needs to be an enormous mouse? Something like that - Peeko does not remember because Master is too boring. Ooooh Peeko look, I can graft an apple to a pear, blah blah blah. Master is boring, but also nice, Peeko loves Master. Peeko loves boring Master." Perching on Alamara's shoulder, smugly, the thrush waits until a viable target appears and then rushes out of the back window before beginning a discrete aerial surveillance.
"Well Peeko can drop something but Peeko thinks this is a terrible idea. Master says Peeko's best defence is being "just a bird", if birds start doing bad stuff then the guards know to watch for birds... Better if Peeko flies ahead into an ally and calls out Dottari Guards are dog f*$%*!g inbreds who smell like Owlbear droppings then clever Peeko flies away before they see him. See? Peeko is clever!"
"Do not worry Peeko is very rich, he does need your worms. Peeko is rich. Master said to stick with you, but not put Peeko's self in danger, so Peeko will come. Peeko will come! Peeko is very helpful for following, sometimes Master will be looking at a handsome man and then Peeko will follow the man and find out where he lives and Master will be very cross, but secretly pleased and turn red," the thrush responds cheerfully. "Peeko could lend you some worms. They are both tasty and useful. Sometimes Peeko will drop them in the hair of his enemies, or mix them into the Stupid Wine Smelling Old Woman's pie."
I posted before having seen your post and did not have much time after to react I am afraid.
Annoyed by the constant stupidity of humans Peeko ensures he can give a detailed description of each potential Logan before heading over to Salonius and filling him in on events. He then returns to Saul and Alamara and fills them in on his discoveries.
Peeko tilts his head nods several times and repeats Saul's descriptions back before setting out again. Cautiously reaching the cell again he peeps out of the door slit and once he determines the coast is clear and no guard is currently looking his way flits between the cells peering inside each in turn. Very quietly the thrush begins whispering, "Logan?" At each cell looking for a reaction, before anxiously checking for guards.
Peeko retreats and after returning via a round about route flies over the old Lady's house and gains entry via a rear window, "Peeko finds a way in, for Peeko, not humans. Peeko bravely went in - Peeko is brave. But it was only an empty cell. Peeko does not know who you are looking for so Peeko does not look, but Peeko can go back... Maybe."
Peeko contemplates the broken shingle for some time, his tiny brain trying to figure out what his Master would do in the circumstances. The bad men have only been here for a few days so they are not ready to trap Peeko... But nasty rats and spiders might try to eat delicious Peeko. Peeko is surely delicious. But Peeko is brave. Peeko is the bravest. Steeling himself the thrush cautiously creeps into the Holding House inching along listening carefully and being as stealthy as possible. Eventually he makes his way to a cell and peeks at its contents.
"Peeko does not know, probably they are inside, but Peeko does not know. Peeko will take a look for ways in, Peeko will look," the thrush responds before flying in a round about seemingly haphazard bug searching manner around and over the Holding House.
Peeko is somewhat dumbfounded by Alamara, but keeps quiet at first, until she suggests knocking, "What do you think you learn inside? How to get tortured? Peeko has been inside Peeko telled you this! Peeko telled you! Wait for Master like good Peeko, Master would say priory planning and preparation prevent piss poor performance - Peeko is good." He flits back and forth some six feet above Saul and Alamara occasionally turning off to act like an inconspicuous bird.
Response to Saul's comment in gameplay. Peeko has a 15 Wisdom, so trying for low Int high Wis. Always difficult to parse out what mental abilities actually cover what behaviour wise, but I am going with Peeko having a good memory and being largely sensible when it come to real danger, etc. Bad at higher level math, bad at understanding the meaning behind instructions, for example contacting Salonius's father, but not figuring out he was supposed to do so to keep the news from Salonius's mother, etc. Also charisma 6 so he ought to be a touch abrasive - its definitely not just because it amuses me ;)
@Saul Gibson Peeko means bluff more than stealth here by sneaky. Sort of the difference between going up to the Prison and staring at it and walking past while casually glancing its way. I am not sure where the Prison is located so I do not know if a casual walk by is viable.
