Aww, now it is a battle between Munins stomach and his professionalism. Ach .. :P "Caw! I don't think it is edible just yet. This one is still alive ..." the raven remarks and bobs his head up and down. He 'sits up' properly on the log again and puffs up his feathers. "...but I can fix it if it is a problem?" Since he had been given his new collar, the raven was alot more sociable. Since this meant a small upswing in Munin - people interaction, perhaps not everyone was pleased. During the fight with the scythe trees, he had spent it observing from a safe distance. The branches on those things looked perfectly adept at smacking something raven-sized out of the sky and when they struck flesh and metal, they tore deep gashes. As such, Munin was more then happy to let the ground hoppers deal with the menace. Afterwards however, Natalie's mention of carrion caught the birds interest and he flow down to inspect. Landing ontop of the log, he 'knelled down' and leaned his head over the edge and looked inside. "Caw-hmm. Anyone we recognize ? And is it properly dead?"

Munin returns from the house of death with a small pouch of pilfered belongings in his talons. In his beak he carries a talisman that is all too familiar. He circles one time around the building before landing on Fhârn's shoulder. "*Caw-uhm* I think Vebstyr Klain is masonry by now..." the raven caws and drops the amulet into his masters hand.

Unfazed by the morbidity of the shrine and uncaring about the ramblings of lords and faë, Munin the raven decides to investigate those upside-down skulls a bit closer. He knows that human have a tendency to sometimes leaves shinies as an offering to their gods - and judging by the conversation around him - they would not mind if he depraved this god of his gifts. Circling above, Munin gave the vultures a glare that was both envious and condescending. So far from the pesky humans he felt at ease for a moment - glad to be away from the persistent feeling of anger. Round 2 Munin looked down at the fight with some disinterest. With a sigh, he realized that the humans inferior nightvision was causing them some trouble. *Caw* I suppose I have to fix that then ... *caw-sigh* Flapping down from his vantage point, Munin landed on Fhârns bag and started digging around, looking for those bottles of lamp-oil he knew where stored inside. Move action to fly down, move action to retrieve bottle of lamp oil from backpack (this action might take longer) Munin could then drop/pour said bottle in the fire, giving us more light. But the fight might already be over before this is needed :) I blame his slowness to react on the fact that the forest/fae/'nature' is still nagging at him to dislike the humans

I thought I'd list our options for our current situation here. It might make it easier for us to decide upon a course of action. Feel free to add your thoughts! The Nixie & her missing trees A - Kill/leave the lumberjacks This is the simplest thing we can do. It costs us nothing/very little except a heavier conciousness. Probably wouldn't look so good if the story got out... B - Kill/subjugate the Nixie 'Solves' the problem, sort off. Will probably earn us the goodwill of some of the more xenofobic humans. Opposite effect on the faë and perhaps the kobolds. A bit harder then A since the Nixie has her unseen guardians and is in a pool of water. C - Craft Feathertokens I and Rowan both have the Craft Wondrous Items feat. Due to the cap of 1 item per day, this would take 3 days. It would cost us 1000 gp in materials. Perhaps mdt can be convinced to let the party help out by gathering reagents (using Downtime to Earn Magic). Diplomacy (asking the faë neighbourhood for some help) or Know (Nature)/Survival (gather supplies) or Intimidate (conscript the lumberjacks to gather stuff) seems appropriate, but many other skills are also suggested in the Downtime rules. This is easy in that it doesn't take much effort - but it actually costs us something. D - Ask the Dryad Tiressia of the Oak for Feathertokens This will most likely involve some sort of quest. On the bright side we get to network more in the forest. On the flipside, we would have to indulge in the vanities of another faë

A bit into the future Returning from his scouting trip, Munin swoops down at the party. He passes almost uncomfortably close to some members heads before landing at Fhârn's outstretched hand. The raven pauses to correct a feather or two before speaking up. "*Caw!* The tower is little more then four free-standing walls and complimentary bricks. There was a pair of creatures there - big purple lizard and a frog-man. *Caaw*! The frog-man is building a nice cosy fire and you are just sitting here in the forest ... *Caw-sigh!*" Fhârn gives the party an apologetic look and Munin a pat on the head and a small dried snack. Then, after the nourishment and compliments, Fhârn attempts to extract some more details about the creatures Munin spotted. With some luck he might be able to determine the species - which could provide either valuable insight into their current situation or an edge should it come to blows later. As he sifted trough his mental library of monsters, he really missed Dareon and his encyclopaedic knowledge on - well most of things. Fhârn will of course share these details, so if they are sufficient for a knowledge check feel free to roll : ) Knowledge (Arcana, Nature, Engineering, Local and/or Nobility): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Fhârn also considers testing his theory by using Scroll of Protection from Evil on Munin, but decides to wait until they make camp. Munin was perched on the head of Hestor the horse enjoying the feeling of moving across the streets without any effort of his own, similar to a sailor perched at the prow of the ship. When they stopped, he followed his masters suit and studied the newcomers. But unlike him, he wasn't silent. "*Caw!* Fear not, Lord Baron Wilhelm Orlovsky has the strongest stomach in all the River Kingdoms! Neither man nor troll could drink him under the table! *CaHawcHaw*!" Hmm. Will, would you mind if Munin made it his mission (for a time) to spread truly outrageous lies about your exploits? : )

It was nice to be back in the air again. Munin didn't really like caves - the notion that some sort of groundwalking critter could climb up over his head always unsettled him. And the limited room for aerial manoeuvres. No, this is definitely better *Caw* The raven swooped back and fourth across the forest, both relaying messages and trying to spot the trolls. He really wasn't much of a tracker - but he tried his best. Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 While unable to track, he might be able to spot clues to give the real trackers some pointers. The raven glided trough the air. He could already smell the familiar scent of carrion - so he was close. The farm was merely a few hundred feet away. He quickly covered the distance and circled it, searching. There! The two still living men and their companions. Munin deftly landed on Rowans shoulder, trusting the druid to know better then strike a scavenger out of grief. "*Caw!* Master wonders if you found anything yet?" The raven listens to their theories before nodding. "Is there any message you wish to convey back? I must hurry with this information." Generating Gold during downtime is still a skill check at heart (unless I seriously misinterpreted anything!) so Munin most certainly helps Fhârn a lot (with his Cooperative Crafting). Mostly with fetching tools and making sure Fhârns other underlings (those unmentioned workers that come free with rooms) to stuff right. He could make himself free during those weeks where Fhârn runs the country (can't help with Profession [merchant] sadly), but you have to understand - he is a busy bird^^ But yeah, I assume most spy-work won't be in broad daylight anyways so you could probably borrow him a bit : )

"Why, yes of course!" Fhârn replies. He quickly glances back at Svetlana's cooking - She should be able to handle that really. Now when she knows. Ah well. - then nods at Evelynn to show that he is all ears. // After sweeping the area a few times - satisfied that no-one was brandishing poison or other tools of assassination openly atleast - Munin perches on-top of the wagon and waits for Lanya. When she finally emerges again he caws to get her attention. He flies down onto her shoulder and nods a greeting, but doesn't say anything until everyone else appears to be out of earshot. "*Caw!* Sanita says you must watch what you eat *Caw*." He stares at her blankly for a few seconds, tiny gears turning in his head. Finally he tilts his head a bit to the side at speaks again. "So there are no unwelcome additions." Munin tilted his head in the other direction and sighed. "*Caw!* For poison. Poison is what she meant. Be careful!"

Deftly the raven landed on the top of his head and leaned forward until he could meet the dwarfs eyes. "Caw! Boss wants a word with you - before you speak to the Rickets."
