Hope everyone had a safe and sound Xmas and haven't been too badly blindsided by the holiday season, and here's to a better overall new year!

It's one less hassle to figure out overall.

Will catch up hopefully tonight, Thanksgiving and Friday/Monday have been a hell of thing.

Hope you all had a safe and fulfilling Thanksgiving (if you celebrated)

Oh I can't remember her name off the top of my head but there's the sea elf (I think) we rescued a while back. I'll read back through the IC posts and see if I'm thinking of the right person.

Let's go bribe a dragon!

The flash of flame from her strike on the Wisp making her blink, Adriana stands poised ready to strike, eyes whipping around frantically for several moments should the strange creature return, and only when the sounds of combat recede entirely does she carefully put her scimitar away.

Rejoining the others and making sure Jonah is healed and back on his feet, Adriana turns to Magdi and nods in thanks. "Check the others first, I can wait my turn." she says, a small attempt at a joke.

Perception vs DC 30: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
OH SO CLOSE

The slow but methodical collection of the treasure from the shipwrecks makes Adriana briefly flirt with the idea of becoming a pirate, but she simply shrugs it off as euphoria from their victory. That and Sarenrae would likely strike her down on the spot.

Perception vs DC 25: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
In the soggy hold of the second ship, something catches Adriana's eye and with a little finagling, pops open a hidden compartment and carefully pulls out one of the vials. "Anyone know what these are?"

Hey everyone!

Wanted to post here now that I'm able and apologize for being gone - I got super sick, unrelated to my foot injury/issue but also not helped by it either. Didn't get the big C, but was gross and awful for a week there.

Catching up on posts; Adriana will likely push for a plan that she can ply her strengths in and is still not for fighting the thunderbird until there's no other option. I'll make an in-game post soon, I just want to read from where I last posted so I can make a solid post.

Hope y'all are healthy and safe!

Certain that there's a joke to be made about the different types of spirits as Jonah checks the liquor cabinet, Adriana looks about for any possible danger as well as signs of any lingering malevolence.

The Previous Night

The return from the library is quiet and uneventful, and while Adriana wasn't able to make much sense of all the information they'd acquired, she could at least make the attempt to learn more about sailing on their return to safety; Tonny would likely have more information the next day.

Once back in Hyrantham and with their haul ready to be used for tribute, Adriana takes a moment to sneak away at night to once again find the furtherest point that reaches the sea, waiting several minutes for any possible sign from Eryssala before returning, idly wondering is she could perhaps get Tewa to dance with her for a little bit.

The Following Day

Seeing the sun for the first time in a while energizes Adriana in ways she hadn't expected, her mood boosted for most of the morning until the sombreness of the town is explained, helping gather the various items of tribute and thinking about the clearer sky. "We learned about Thunderbirds yesterday, if the sky is clear...I wonder..." She looks to the others. "We'll learn what we can, I think we already have some theories forming."

There's a twinge in her ribs that reminds Adriana that despite managing to come out ahead today, she had been briefly - and horrifically - close to death, and perhaps she should maybe at least rest with Tewa and just... properly relax.

But there was time, and she had an idea, longshot as it might have been.

Making her way to the market and trading for a simple symbol of Sarenrae and some twine, Adriana makes for the furthest point out into the sea and dips her extra symbol into the sea, looking for any signs of Eryssala as she speaks to the ocean around her.

"Eryssala? I don't know if you can hear me, so this might not work, but... if you need to speak to me - to us? Bring this back to Vancen. He'll let us know." And with that she lets the symbol sink into the sea, hoping her message would reach the Oceanid.

Tired, sore, soggy and ultimately deciding to be done for the day, Adriana returns to their lodgings to find Tewa and just rest until it was time to prepare for the next day.

Adriana wonders about the Thunderbird and how they'll even fight such a thing, should it be that inevitable, and her thoughts wander to the library and what it could contain.

Time, however, was against them.

"Tribute seems our best choice, if not our only choice. Anything to buy us more time. Magdi is right though, nothing dangerous that could be used against us." She says with a wry grin, looking around and wondering if their unexpected haul from the temple would be usable or if they would have to find more.

"What have we got, and do we risk the library today?"

I may have to. Had to reinstall Firefox because of Chrome issues so it might just be that settings hasn't been fully sorted out yet, but the copy and paste idea might help get me through the holidays, since my ISP has been doing a bunch of repairs on cables/boxes/so on near me and thats been its own problem. I haven't even registered that Xmas is next week, so much is happening.

I'm going to attempt a post in the game thread with round 4 and 5 actions, and we'll do a double check on settings as we do.

In hindsight, getting close enough to be swallowed was not her finest moment, not when she'd finally started to turn her life around - it couldn't end in some creature's gullet...

Crushed and concussed but conscious, all Adriana knew is that she had to get out, now! She does her best to take a breath to calm herself enough to move her restrained arms to her dagger and squirming about for the vest leverage she can get as she mentally recites a mantra of Sarenite warriors and begins to messily hack her way out!

Actions Taken

Move action - None

Swift Action - Judgement; Destruction: The inquisitor is filled with divine wrath, gaining a +3 sacred bonus on all weapon damage rolls. This bonus increases by +1 for every three inquisitor levels she possesses.

Standard Action - Attack
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Dagger Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Precision Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Tewa, Earlier:
Her face was flushed red but Adriana couldn't stop the small smile from appearing, her boldness having said everything her voice could not, only managing a simple whispered "Yes."

Seems a good point to tie things together to the current campaign.

K. Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Adriana frowns a touch at the mention of Skum - she'd never seen one, but had heard all sorts of rumors, there had to be a kernal of truth to some of them. A rescue seemed likely, but the time constraints did little to put her at ease.

She nodded in agreement with Jonah. "I wonder if they are connected? It seems too coincidental, but...I suppose it's possible." She looks at the map and shakes her head. "Time is against us, but it was against us before in the stormcaller's temple - I have faith in us, but we will have to be fast." She turns to the others. "The library then? We could leave now if the weather is permitting."

Tewa; pre-Hyrantam:
Adriana spends the better part of the brief stopover in Eleder attempting to come to terms with, and make a decision on, feelings she'd not about since before it seemed certain she was going to hang from the gallows, finding it embarrassing - she wasn't a child, naive on such matters, and yet...

When they are all back aboard and leaving Eleder for Hyrantam does she come to a decision, waiting until Tewa was free and they could speak in the captain's quarters.

"I. I um... I had a lot I wanted to speak to you about, but..uhh-" Despite her best effort, Adriana still can't stop being a little red around Tewa, and she simply could not stop being awkward. But she pushed forward. "You.. I don't know why,or how, but you, you make me all, all this! And I want to, to give back to you, somehow, if you would like that?" It takes all her willpower to not simply flee as she waits for Tewa to speak...

Hyrantam!
Taking care of her newly purchased gear amid learning more about sailing (and learning more about how little she knows) Adriana does her best to assist amid the rain and wind, Jonah being admirable in his assistance as Tewa navigates and brings them into the docks, waiving in soggy greeting to Vancen and noticing Magdi's disappointment at the dockside existence.

"Well met harbormaster."

Freedom, Adriana finds bemusing, can be quite overwhelming in it's own way, as she finds herself preparing to leave Pridon's Hearth to help Magdi and finding the idea of leaving didn't have the allure it once did. Strangest of all, she found the idea of leaving almost sad; the colony having been a better home and life for her than she could have imagined left her feeling a way she couldn't adequately describe. Homesick perhaps?

It made preparations a little difficult and Adriana couldn't shake off the fact that she felt that in some way she was abandoning the colony, which was ridiculous; she and her friends had done so much and been given much in return, making a martyr of herself wasn't what the colony needed. But there was still some thing Adriana wanted to finalize before leaving.

With Tonny's help (and some of his ink and parchment) and a solid amount of gold Adriana leaves a set of instructions with Baldra at the countinghouse, several small pouches put aside with a letter and set of instructions - a note of encouragement for Amil, an apology and commission for Annabella, and a small amount for Sasha to help once she had served her time. Adriana made sure that Aedela had a copy of her notes as well as one of her own and finds herself returning Aedela's hug with equal strength. " Take care of them. I'll make sure to come home safely." It feels strange to promise such a thing but feels good to say it - she had a place to come back to. And she would.

---

Much like the trip on the Kavaa Cutter Adriana spends her time being reminded of how much she isn't a sailor, wandering the ship and doing her best to be useful without being a hindrance, practicing her dancing in the calmer waters in between keeping the spirits of her companions high - Jonah she would practise her archery with and teasingly challenge, Tonny she would go to when she had questions (or to help the poor lad collect himself) and Magdi she would speak with to get to know better, the whirlwind of the temple fight then the celebrations and then the preparations having made time to simply sit and talk difficult.

And then there was Tewa. The woman could reduce her to a blushing mess with such ease that Adriana had briefly considered hiding from the ship's captain before dismissing the idea as both silly and rude; it was Tewa's ship, where would she even hide? No, she could endure a little blushing here and there, and even began to find it quietly enjoyable. It was nice, even if she was never sure how to reciprocate. Perhaps they could talk?...

It might have to wait, as Adriana stood on the deck as they arrived in Eleder, eyes wide at just how huge it was, at the sheer number and assortment of ships and found herself missing Pridon's Hearth and it's much less intimidating size, keeping her companions as close as she can as they push into the crowded city. So many memories of a life long behind her...

Hey MrMantis, this is the right place in case you are interested in play by post! Welcome!

So are you familiar with PFS organized play rules for first edition pathfinder?

Do you already have a PFS character?

This is a guide that GM Numbat and the venture team created. It explains many of the first steps.

I want to say yes as I've been in a long running PFS game but its also been my only PFS game so it probably wouldn't hurt to get refreshed.

As for characters, I have a couple, but character creation isn't hard* so it wouldn't be difficult to make a few more if a particular role needed to be filled.

And that guide is super helpful, thankyou!

If any GM is willing to take on a potential newbie, I'd be more than willing to try some Starfinder - I've played one game that didn't get past character creation but that was enough to have me looking for games.

In the several minutes that she is still alone, Adriana has managed to mostly pull herself back together. She wasn't entirely sure she was ready to return to face the count just yet (and she would, for she owed Narsus an apology) but at least she hadn't collapsed into a wailing mess, though she was sure she looked it.

Wiping at her tears Adriana is surprised by Tewa and her sincere empathy. "Of course I will; I never expecte-" Her words halt suddenly as Tewa gently lifts her chin delicately and they are eye to eye and Adriana can feel her cheeks going red and oh she was so confused; was this simple gentleness? A form of kindred understanding? Affection?

She blinks and stands slowly with Tewa and nods with what she thinks is understanding. "Thankyou, Tewa. I..I would welcome your help." Adriana does not brush herself off but she does carefully fold and tuck her pardon away and listens sympathetically to Tewa. Cheliax. She could not imagine she'd have survived the Devil cursed country. But that did pique her curiosity as she followed Tewa and catching the womans wink pauses for a step and unsure of the meaning but willing to trust, answers as she follows inside "I..yes? Perhaps?"

She would worry about what she might have agreed to later; Narsus was owed an apology, Tonny and Jonah at least a drink or a meal. Something suitable for the heroes of the storm...

Adriana sighs but smiles nonetheless as Tonny is caught in the whirlwind of himself and his papers and turns slightly to Magdi and Tewa. "He's not always like this, but we've learned a lot of interesting things these last few days." she says with a supportive nod to the frazzled half elf as the night goes on.

----

Adriana can't hide her nervousness as they're meeting Count Narsus, having barely nibbled at the pastries and leaving behind a coffee half nursed, wrestling internally with the fact that her being in Pridon's Hearth had been as much a punishment as a second chance; could she truly be rewarded for taking the only option available to her?

It's the word statue that snaps her out of her internal dilemma and she blinks incredulously at Count Narsus. "A - a statue? I-I don't," She stutters, the coughs and composes herself. "A statue sounds lovely, but I must agree with Jonah, surely the colony has greater needs..." Adriana trails off as it seems the Count hasn't quite heard them, mentioning the sheriff and handing her a piece of documentation. She takes it as if the parchment is about to bite her, reading it carefully.

"I'm free?" She whispers incredulously. Yes, she had helped save the colony, and her friends had spoken highly of her - trusted her - but there had always been the seed of doubt, buried in the bleakness of a past not yet far enough gone for her liking.

"I-I can't...I mean, thank you, Count Narsus, this is... I...I-" Adriana sucks in a ragged breath. "I need a moment, please excuse me." and not waiting for a reply she turns and leaves the mansion, clutching her pardon tightly to her chest and making it no more than a few steps outside before she sinks to her knees and chokes back a sob, fighting to hold back the emotional turmoil threatening to overwhelm her.

Still hiding behind her drink as Tewa approaches and then sits with them, Adriana does her best to discreetly peek at the newcomer, slightly unsure if the woman could see her blushing earlier or not but not willing to make things any more awkward at the same time, not to mention that, well, it would be rude to ask without at least learning her name. It didn't however, stop her from attempting to hide deeper into her cup when it appeared that cloudy eyes or not, they had exchanged glances.

Well. That could be dealt with later. Maybe. There was a lot to take in concerning her future, and Adriana was thankful that Jonah (deservedly, she thought) took much of the attention bragging about his successful hunt while she nursed her drink, only occasionally nodding in agreement with the more outlandish details and sneaking the occasional glance to Tewa.

Adriana is curious when Tewa starts whittling amid the recount of their adventures, curious about how blind Tewa might actually be, and it takes a moment or two before it clicks onwhat Tewa is saying and suddenly she's once again red and hiding behind her drink; this was certainly becoming a confusing day. Perhaps she'd died in the temple fight.

Adriana bit her cheek and winced. Nope, very much alive. She needed another drink before she would risk speaking, finding her hand forced by the mention of boats and travel. "Neither Chelaxian or slaver, but..hmm..." She pauses for a moment and looks over to Aedela; the sheriff had said her sentence was served with their saving the settlement, perhaps she could?... "Well, if the law is no longer responsible for me, then I could join you. My situation is complicated. Or was. I don't know. Everything has been a blur since we returned. I need another drink."

Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

With heartfelt goodbyes to both Split-the-Leaves and Ignolf (and a promise that the two would attempt to visit town at least once) Adriana finds the return to civilization (such as it is) oddly daunting; there was going to be so much to explain with various levels of difficulty.

At the very least the return journey is uneventful outside of Jonah's terrifying but victorious hunt, and as the group finally makes it back to Pridon's Hearth, Adriana can't help but smirk at wondering which would be less believable, their hard fought victory at the temple or the spoils of Jonah's hunt.

Adriana is humbled by Sheriff Adaela and is prepared to brush off both her praise and suggestion on dealing with her situation, but it's Jonah's many compliments that make her blush as she attempts to downplay her heroics.

"Ah, uh, no, it-it was a group effort. Please..." She goes quiet but allows herself a small smile. "My friends are humble themselves, we all fought hard for this victory..." She does her best to return the praises as drinks are delivered to the table, turning to where the server has pointed and noticing the cocky smile the stranger is offering and suddenly aware she's still a bit of a blushing mess and Oh no, that might have sent the wrong signal, but at least she could hide a little behind the free drink, which she does.

Sinking to her knees in relief that the battle had been won, Adriana smiles gently as her friends celebrate their well earned victory, closing her eyes to take in the calm left behind and the revelry it amplified.

Standing after a moment so as not to allow stiffness or the ache of her wounds to keep her off her feet, Adriana first approaches Ingolf and wordlessly applies some soothing magic for his wounds, nods in thankful acknowledgement to the warrior and approaches Splits, using some more soothing magic on the druids wounds.

"All right then, come and get me!" She shouts and rushes into the small gap as its unwieldy fist crashes down nearby, prepared to take a blow as she turns suddenly and strikes the creature from behind.

Knowing enough about incorporeal foes to know it would be a tough fight, Adriana follows Ingolf initially before moving to the specters blind side and hopefully giving Jonah plenty of room to shoot.

Standing her ground behind the creature and ready to draw its ire if necessary, points her scimitar and in a low voice chants "I will redeem the ignorant with my words and my actions. If they will not turn toward the light, I will redeem them by the sword." and wills a glowing, shimmering scimitar into existence striking at their intangible foe.

With her companions overall feeling satisfied with the questioning of Magdi and his answers, Adriana stands up and echoes her friends sentiments.

"We will do what we can to make things right. Until then..." She doesn't intend to sound ominous so much as she's uncertain of what awaited them. About the only thing that seemed certain was that she would argue that they should all rest and recover while they had the opportunity, but also reassuring Splits by saying "We've come this far together friend, it's only right we finish this together."

Taking the clear vial from Tonny and inspects it, unsure of what she's exactly looking for in the clear liquid but nodding all the same and carefully hiding it on her person. "Thankyou Tonny."

Feeling much better after an uneventful night's rest and pleasantly surprised that their truce still held, Adriana spends a quiet moment to herself offering a prayer to Sarenrae - quietly, of course - and finding herself as ready to face the day as she can be.

Even knowing as little about Gozreh as she does, the large stone roof closing off the temple felt wrong; a deliberately mundane blashphemy to the god of sea and sky. Giving Splits a sympathetic look she looks back to the stone roof and wonders aloud "Could we break it? Would that help us?"

I think between the healing I got and the healing from a full rest I go back to full HP but I won't say no to at least one heal if it doesn't put you out.

With the sudden shift from being constricted to dropped all Adriana can do is gasp and cough as she feels her ribs contract and pop back into place, mumbling and willing her arms to work but only managing a light flailing, her scimitar clattering harmlessly to the ground.

"I'm-I'm okay." She says convincingly as healing energies repair the damage she can feel in her bones, and she sits up to catch her breath. "Thank you."

Taking a moment to recover and regather herself, Adriana stands up with a little stiffness and frowns as Ingolf identifies the emblems carried by the skeletal remains. "Aspis...wasn't that woman with the consortium? She might have sent people here. What was her name?..." she muses while trying to remember the woman's name - if this had been one of the jobs they might have been potentially recruited for.

Good news I can log in again!

Bad news is I don't in fact have invisibility but see invisibility, so a different plan B is needed. Sorry

"I hope not big enough to be trouble. A Drake I will fight, but a dragon? That might be beyond us..." Adriana trails off as she unsheathes her scimitar and looks about, keeping a general eye on the environment while Ingolf and Ebba moved to collect eggs.

I have Bless as a general party buff and Divine Favor; can't remember off the top of my head if its singular or group, and CRL just in case.
Feels good to be back proper, fingers crossed and all that jazz.

"The Song'o know this area best, once we bring Muhdzuzi back safely we might be able to ask if they know of any temples or ruins connected to the storm kindlers." Adriana muses out loud.

"Even if they cannot, Muhdzuzi has waited long enough, and I fear for his safety; is there anything we need to do before we leave?"

MOVING DAY. HELLS BELLS ITS MOVING DAY.
If it's needed Adriana will put gold towards supplies, mapping gear ect. Almost done.

"As the others have said, we are escorting Muhdzuzi to their tribe. This was planned as a detour to see if you were alright, and perhaps our timing could have been better, but it is good to know we can get both of you to safety."

Should be able to get back to a semi-regular posting rate. Missed being in the game with y'all!

Her mood as sour as the swamp from the inability to do anything more with the men captured during yesterday's scuffle and exacerbated by the endless mosquitos, Adriana remains sullen for most of the journey in order to not snap at her companions - they had gone through too much together already for her to start arbitrarily arguing with them.

Coming across the dinosaur carcass Adriana instinctively places one hand on the hilt of her scimitar and looks about, not really certain what she's going to find but on the lookout nonetheless; an ambush in a swamp wouldn't be a good start to their journey.

"Hmm. Acid, and recent. Nothing seems around..." She ponders a little on what could have been responsible while keeping her eyes open for danger.

"Swamp, jungle, acid...oh, what are those things? Like dragons, but smaller. Still dangerous." She says, slightly on edge at her own guess.

Adriana says nothing as Hamsa makes her intentions towards Kanjo rather clear, instead glancing about at her companions and intending to gauge their reactions, knowing well what the promise of wealth could do to a person and their morals.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

And while she knows she has little room to judge, she would make both her position and her intentions known, politics be damned.

"If you wish for Kanjo to be moved on to somewhere else, I can help you." She stands slowly and deliberately so that she can be eye to eye with Hamsa, level in both voice and stance. "But I will not kill him, and I will not let any of my companions kill him." It might not have been the smartest thing to both indirectly threaten her friends and rebuke one of the more powerful people in Pridon's Hearth, but Adriana had never been known as a thinker.

She was socially aware enough, however, to know that she was most likely no longer welcome.

"Your hospitality has been wonderful, and I will not sour your evening further. Excuse me." She says as politely as she can and short of being asked to stay, prepares to leave.

Adriana has never been one to turn down a free meal, and one as elaborate as the one provided by Hamsa was one she couldn't resist - the candied fruit alone was worth the endeavor.

Or at least the difficult questions. The others answered with the simple ease of those who had not made questionably poor decisions in their life (that she was aware of) and could leave Pridon's Hearth should they choose to. Not wanting to be rude but not wanting to truly dive into her mistakes, Adriana enjoys a piece of candied fruit as Tonny and Ingolf answer, choosing her words carefully.

"I am here by...poor choices, of a previous life. She holds up her bandaged hand and its missing finger as a way of explanation. "I would not like to elaborate, but the decision to come her wasn't mine. But it was very much a second chance - the rare, true second chances - and I have attempted to make the most of it. It's been an interesting life here."
She keeps her tone neutral, not wanting to elaborate further.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

She takes a sip of wine as she listens to Hamsa, something about her tone seemed familiar but she couldn't place it properly and let it slide, instead thinking about if she was aware of Kanjo Arram.

Adriana has at least two uses of cure light wounds available so that we don't burn through the wand too quickly, so if you'd like healing let me know either IC or OOC and I'll get on that.

And going by the map, we could head back to Pridon's and make a brief stop to check in on hex C given the amount of treasure/news we've currently got, and I'm not sure how much more our boats can carry, but we're doing pretty well.

Lastly, Hurricane Laura is in my neighborhood and so far I'm safe but also I'm under a lot of storm warnings, so if I go quieter than usual, it's likely related to that. If you're in a similar situation I hope you're able to be safe and dry.

Appraise: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Taking a little free time before their meeting to clean up and be as presentable as she can - and perhaps smooth out the roughness she carries on her self from the numerous battering wounds she took previously, Adriana's eyes widen a little at the set table and it's fine food. She knew nothing about wine except that maybe Lethar was showing off his wealth a little, Tonny's whisper only proving her guess correct.

"Maybe they go together?" It's as much a joke as a guess - she's never had anything close to 'good' wine before.

Her eyes go wider again when Tonny rambles on and proclaims her the leader, freezing for a moment and with as much decorum as she can manage clears her quickly drying throat and attempts to clarify.

"Ahm, Hmm, 'leader' is not entirely correct. Sheriff Praet had me act in her stead while at Fort Breakthrough, and for part of the storm preparation, my companions are free individuals - but we do very good work together."

"About for what we learned at Fort Breakthrough, we found no survivors, only the aftermath of an attack - from what we could learn, lizardfolk attacked the fort and attempted to cover their tracks by leaving Song'o weapons and corpses in the fort, possibly to incite an attack on the tribal folk. They might have been the same tribe of Lizardfolk that attacked the Hearth at the height of the storm." She looks to her companions to see if she's forgotten anything, adding "If it is the same tribe, they've lost a priest and some warriors at least."

Alright, so I've done a quick once over of the treasure sheet and I've only done the math properly on things I'm certain we're going to sell, which has come up to 1161GP - feel free to double check, math isn't my strong point ;)

This DOES NOT include the 250 from the sheriff and does not include the sale of the following items -

5x Potions of Lesser Restoration
1x Brooch of Shielding
1x Wand of Cure Light Wounds (I think Splits has it)
1x Master work Leather Armor
1x Wand of Touch of the Sea (I think Jonah has it)
1x Scroll of Water Breathing (Splits again, I think)
1x Mithral Dagger (Adriana has it, I forgot about it)

I'm pretty sure we're all taking one of the restoration potions, but there's still a few things up for grabs that can be distributed between us or sold off.

Both the calm after the storm and the stout weathering of said storm thanks to the hard work of everyone in Pridon's Hearth has lifted Adriana's spirits enough to dull the aches from the previous days as she spends all her available time divided between offering assistance to any who require it and checking on her companions - Jonah especially, as his wounds had been severe the night before. "Don't strain yourself, and thank you. It was a difficult battle."

She finds Tonny still in the hall, both assisting and talking the ears off the staff and approaches him with bemusement. "Don't overwhelm them with your knowledge - save some for another day." she says as an attempted joke, then more seriously asks "When there is time, can you teach me Polyglot? It would be good to speak it."

After Tonny she seeks out Splits the Leaves, some concern still lingering from the lizardfolk fight - something about the thing the priest worshiped, what was it called? Hashasha? Hursharah? Certainly not Gozreh, but it seemed to have given the lizard priest power during the storm, enough to make her worry Splits might have been a little shaken in his beliefs.

Once she finds the druid she carefully but respectfully approaches, says nothing for a few minutes, than asks "Are you alright?"

Aw yeah doin' the parent thing! Checking on the party!

:(

I am really, really sad and sorry about how this ended - and I know none of us really could have planned for a pandemic and the insanity from that, but it still sucks.

But I still want to say, my own issues aside, this was an amazing game and I had fun roleplaying with everybody and I hope like DMLC that maybe we can come back and finish - but more than anything I hope you're all safe and that we might run into eachother again in or out of character.

I'll miss you all. Take care of yourselves.

Adriana knows that her body will never forgive her for blocking the barred door but she cannot convince herself to move away from it, paranoid of the idea that should she move, someone else safely inside will decide to leave and face the storm. Nobody else would leave until after the danger had passed.

Her leg cramping as she awkwardly slides into a slightly more comfortable sitting position, her body now either an additional brace or a doorstop, Adriana nods to help confirm Ingolf's tale of what happened.

"The Lizardfolk...they wanted the storm to...well, to destroy the town. There's not much else to say - they're dealt with. The storm should pass as normal." She hopes she's convincing, having never seen a storm as large as the one lashing the town - Eye of Abendego notwithstanding.

Adriana perks up slightly as Ingolf mentions the wand can heal the wounded. "Is there enough magic to help everyone hurt?"

Her rage and frustration boiling over as the fight threatens to drag on and leave her fallen allies in mortal peril, Adriana regathers her footing as her first attack is deflected and with a snarl she puts everything into her next swing, collapsing into the mud as she drags the priest down with her scimitar, the brief burst of flames illuminating the deep and fatal wound as both tumble into the mud.

She's dimly aware of Tonny's cheering as she slowly pulls herself up from the mud, her exhaustion returning threefold as the battle is now over, helping gather weapons and supplies in a daze and providing as much assistance as she can to help bring Jonah and Sheriff Adeala back to the town hall and only once again is she sure everyone is inside (Ebba and Rosemary included) does she bar the doors again for safety.

"We've done what we can. Please tend to the wounded. Nobody else can leave until the storm is over. Please - we've given all we can." She slumps against the barred door as she pleads for the storm to pass and no more insanity until they've all rested and recovered.
