On a serious note, thanks so much to the Wyvern's Tale (as usual) for a great Free RPG Day, and thanks to Luth (as usual) for herding the cats for PFS and for a fun weekend! Can't wait until the next one! Small goat runs back the other way, this time the sign reading YOO CAN'T STAHP THE SIGNAL!. Followed by a rhino.

I'm still confused about payment and so on. If you are playing all the slots, you need to do $20 for the 3-day gaming plus $10 for the one day at the Sherril? What if you only want to play like one or 2 slots? Like me. ^_^

If I go, I'd be looking at Refuge of Time. There's no level 12s in the Lodge as far as I know... and I think some people are playing RotR as a home campaign.
Words fail me at how awesome tonight's "Blood Under Absalom" Asheville Pathfinder Lodge's 1 Year Anniversary Extravaganza was. First and foremost thanks to Declan and Simeon of The Wyvern's Tale for our space. Thanks to our intrepid VC Paul for organizing (or is that Overseeing) the madness and to all the volunteers, cake bringers and decorators. Thanks to all the GMs and all the players. I've been to a lot (a lot) of conventions where they did not have half (or a quarter) of the organization you all put together and thereby I didn't have one-third the fun I had tonight. I had been fighting a sinus infection for the last three days and even this afternoon, I was mulling over whether or not I should attend. I am overjoyed that I did. Best. Ever. ~ M

They should be ready for SCARAB for those of you showing your APL pride at South Carolina's premiere 4-day gaming con! Are these the black or red shirts?
RainyDayNinja wrote: The subtier of your GM credit has absolutely nothing to do with the subtier you ran. It's based purely off of the level of the character you're applying it to. So if you run the 4-5 subtier and put the credit on a level 1 character, you still only get the 1-2 subtier credit for him. While that ruins my plans to have the world's richest 3rd level monk, it does make perfect sense (and hearkens back to the same rules in LG). Thanks for the clarification!

Does that still hold true if you run the adventure for a higher tier? For example: I run a mod at Tier 4-5 but give the credit to a 1st level character. Which tier does that character get credit for?
I wouldn't say anything to them about it. They are likely to just pull the plug on APL gaming in their store. We had really, really bad experiences with the GMs for D&D Encounters there, asked if anything could be done about it and the answer was more or less "you're stuck with what we've got". I quit going then and there. Just buy your stuff on-line for now until the new place opens. |
