To my respective GMs and/or players, I am posting this in all my games that I'm running or involved in. I was involved in a force on force incident today during work. I cannot go into details for obvious reasons, but suffice to say no one was seriously injured. I'll be very busy with paperwork for the foreseeable afternoon/evening. He looks to the cleric, Harika. "Do you have the powers to raise either of these men? If not we cannot leave their bodies here to rot. Yeah, I'm trying to focus on the same two Death Knights with each attack. And thanks for the updated map!

More bright blue flames swirl around Merius and seem to envelope his body before abruptly disappearing. There is a second of quiet before those very same flames burst from the ground beneath the two Death Knights that continue to burn from his fiery powers.

"Now this is my kind of fight." Merius' eyes suddenly change to a molten gold color as he stretches his arms out wide. The air around the man begins to waiver like a heat mirage as he draws energy straight from the Plane of Fire! A roaring sound fills the air... he abruptly claps his hands together in front of him and a massive pillar of flames burst from the ground nearby to engulf two of the undead guards!

Fire Damage: 5d6 + 16 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 3, 3) + 16 = 31 * 150% = 46 Total.
The two closest guards on the left both need to make a Reflex save DC 20 for half damage. They then need to make a second Reflex save DC 23 or catch fire as per the Burning Infusion.

Merius asks Harika to utilize his wand to heal up his wounds, grimacing as the infernal magic seals up his wounds. "This mission has presented me with more enemies immune to my powers than I prefer. Clearly I must seek out a way to deal with such creatures." He looks quiet dejected about his failures. "Let us continue onward and hope there are no more enemies immune to fire."

With the foresight of knowing about the fire immune, draining infusion definitely would have been a good choice...

Fire Resistance is not an issue for Pyrokineticists. Burning Infusion and Searing Flame take care of that. Plus the high damage of the blast helps get around the remaining resistance. So over time, I can literally burn away all fire resistance.

Also, I literally spoke with the GM about this very issue and determined it was worth the risk based on his response. I specifically asked if there would be a large number of Fire Immune creatures and he stated the following: "Well not a crap tonne of fire immune creatures no. Might be a few here and there". Unfortunately, there just seems to be two fights back-to-back that contain Fire Immune creatures. I wanted to take this opportunity to see what a mid-high level pyrokineticist could do and so far I've been happy.

Well, I talked with Merc about it beforehand and he did mentioned there was one fire immune creature we would face (I believe it was the enhanced pudding we found). I think he may have forgotten about these guys. Also, I would use smoke as some battlefield control to at least do something, but from the looks of these things... that's going to do nothing but hamper you all.

He then moves as far away from the creatures as he can. "I can do nothing here!" He shouts to his comrades, feeling worse and worse about his position...
