"Well, if no one else is going to try it." Matheus steps forward and tries the door. It seems to be locked, but the moment he tries it a loud, hallow-sounding gong sounds. }}BONG!!{{ "What was that?" Except you don't have to roll for anything. You can just lift. Rules wrote: Lifting and Dragging A character can lift as much as his maximum load over his head. A character’s maximum load is the highest amount of weight listed for a character’s Strength in the heavy load column of Table: Carrying Capacity. In Durgan's case that's 300 lbs. A few rounds later, after setting the body of Allisa away from the fire.... Out front of Ser Richard Iannuchi's Manor Other things to consider: Matheus doesn't have his primary weapon (though he does have a mw rapier, and swordbreaker dagger). Your selective channeling cleric, Mother Vorst doesn't have many channels left. Her domains are Knowledge and Repose. "Quickly! Up the stairs we must find my Lord Varn!" Shouts Matheus leading the way.
Vorst rushes to the stricken Alisa. Matheus jumps in once more with his curious tripartite blade but can do little against their elemental opponent, before diving out of the way for Durgan.
The fire explodes outwards in all directions occupying all of the visible interior of the building. "MY SPEAR!" wales the fighter. Conditions inside

A dagger seems to appear from nowhere in Mateus's hand. He steps forward and the blade opens like like a broad angled fork, and catches the genie's broad curved blade between its pinions. He twists the pommel, but the efreeta's grip on her falchion proves too much for him to break.
