Malik knows nothing of this statue, but seeing the others and the bowl full of coins Malik tosses one in, knowing the power of such symbols and monuments can be helpful if appeased but potentially harmful if left untended and he would rather not chance his luck with such a long journey ahead.

Before the climb Malik takes some time to meditate and pray to Abadar as part of his normal morning ritual. He'll slowly try and climb up to see what is there, asking Abadar for guidance along the way.

Having barely fallen asleep Malik is awoken by the warnings of his fellow Pathfinders. Not having his armor he stands whispering a prayer to Abadar asking for protection.
