Ksarress' force of will is perhaps? strong enough to ignore pesky things like violent upheaval of ground he is standing on.

A quick glance to the left tell Ksarress this foe is probably too far to smash through the window, and besides, no one tends to live very long vs Gaevus. Glancing to the right, he sees something that sure looks like a summoning circle which is always bad news, and breaks for the elf, quick drawing a guisarme to make sure they can't easily escape.

oh yeah does expeditious retreat not have the thing like haste where it's +30 or double your land speed whichever is lower. So would I need 10 or 15ft of bull rushing to knock that guy off?

can i get word of god on how many feet of movement it takes to get out the door into the first square on the second floor? I think it's about 30, but uphill, so I may or may not be able to engage R2. I was also debating trying to shove him 10 ft off the tower - are there battlements? I guess the other important question is if Gaevus somehow kills him on ripostes?

In other news, people who turn invisible before I can kill them are exceptionally annoying, I should know.

Ksarress adjusts position position to be more stoically and heroically carried along but doesn't object. Less walking you know.

In the chaos, Ksarress rushes forward ignoring the now flaming creatures. The maenid presumably jumps a little at the sudden appearance of the black tentacles and when she turns back Ksarress is there, who attempts to kick her into the black tentacles.

Ksarress throws one piece of parchment just into the edge of her her spreading pool of blood, takes out another scroll and begins casting with what I can only presume is an infernal tone. While the party searches the room and corpses, one minute later, the answers to the following questions should appear (though I really only care about the first two for obvious reasons):

What are you? (Gender, race, profession/role)
How was your blood shed? (Brief outline of the events that caused its wound, to the best of the victim's knowledge)

The temptation I was thinking about when I made the post is still really strong: roll a bluff check and hope the elf doesn't have spell craft and thematically if not mechanically catch them by surprise when I lash out with a Katana.
