Female Eladrin Warlord/10

For some reason, Kia suddenly feels very sad. As if something momentous is happening, but in a very distant way. She gazes at the rune stone and tries to extract the wisdom of the moment from it.

A great shame, but I understand. I will be up for a restart if it ever comes to that. Thanks for a wonderful campaign. I feel proud to have ben able to be a part of it.

Kia moves as fast as she can and then helps everyone to move a bit further.

Move to D14;
Order from Chaos Kia and all allies can shift their speed as a free action, ignoring difficult terrain. Kia moves to A15.

"OK, let's go..." She beckons her allies, including the wisdom seeker who is carrying the stone.

As an afterthought, she heals Darius. Who can spend a healing surge plus an additional 3d6+5+8=(2,5,5)+13=25HP.

Kia moves to get a good shot at the renegade seeker, switches to her bow once more and pots a shot.

Move to J14;
Minor to switch weapons;
Paint the bullseye with a magic arrow vs W1.
1d20+18+2+1=(11)+21=32.
1d10+3=(4)+3=7 damage and all attacks against W1 gain a +5 power bonus to damage rolls.
Also W1 is at -2 to all ranged and area attacks.

Kia looks towards Arianwyn (or where she guesses he must be). "So what do you suggest we do about the other formorians? If you are so concerned, maybe you and Tutavak could try shoving it towards the exit while we deal with these guys"

She steps towards the nearest wisdom seeker and tries to hit it once more.

Move to L17;
Warlord's favour vs W2 vs AC. 1d20+19=(14)+19=33; 2d8+7=(4,4)+7=15 damage and Darius has a +6 bonus to all attack rolls vs W2 to the end of Kia's next turn.

"Or, you could encourage one of the seekers to knock it over and then roll it out. Just a suggestion."

Kia was so surprised that Arianwyn was shouting at someone who wasn't her, she fails to spot her chance when the Wisdom seeker moves within range.

Kia rolled a 1 for the OA.

Kia looks disapprovingly on as the remaining seekers howl unmusically. She gets over her slowed state by teleporting next to one of them and attmepts to provide a salve for the members of her party (but not for the seeker).

Teleport to L15;
Stand the fallen vs W2 vs AC 1d2+19=(14)+19=33; 3d8+7=(2,4,8)+7=21 damage.
Regardless of whether of not that hits, all allies (but not Kia) within 10 can spend a healing surge with an additional 6HP.
As a minor action, Kia heals herself for one surge plus 3d6+5=(5,4,5)+5+4=23HP.

Kia is no longer bloodied

Kia looks towards Chary to see who is best placed to help Daruis, but finds she cannot see her. Seeing her ally in an unconscious mode of existence, her compassion gets the better of her and she heals him to enable him to fight another turn.

Minor: Inspiring word for Darius who can spend a healing surge and, additionally, gain 3d6+5=(6,1,6)+5=18HP.
Standard: Withdrawal Gambit vs Shamanb vs AC. 1d20+19=(11)+19=30 vs AC. If that hits, the shaman takes 3d8+7=(6,8,8)+7=29 damage and Darius can make a saving throw with a +2 bonus. (He can also shift up to 5 squares if he wants to)

Move: Kia shifts to G12

Save vs slowed: 1d20=1

Kia concentrates on her task and takes a blow at the shaman.

Basic melee 1d20+19+2=(3)+21=24 vs AC. In the unlikely event that hits, she does 1d8+7=(3)+7+5=15 damage.

Kia moves out of the zone of darkness and invites Darius to clout the Shaman once more.

Commmander's Strike Allowing Darius to make a basic melee attack on the shaman with a +5 bonus to the damage roll

Oops! Sorry I meant she moves to G15. i.e. next to the Shaman...

I keep getting Kia's +5 thing wrong. She has a +5 to saving throws vs charm effects, and everyone has a +2 bonus to will vs charm, fear or illusion attacks.

Since Arianwyn didn't need to reroll his saving throw, Darius can roll again to save vs deominated wth a +2 bonus

One other thing I just realiased is that Kia and everyone within 10 squares of Kia gains a +2 bonus to will against charm, fear and illusion attacks (sorry, should have remembered a few encounters ago I think), Also Kia gains +5 to will against charm attacks.

"Get off me you oaf!" Kia shouts at Darius, "if you had any sense, you would help me take down this shaman!"

Kia turns her attention to the shaman, hoping others will follow suit.

Move to G18;
Warlord's Favour vs S vs AC. 1d20+14=(14)+19=33; 2d8+7=(4,8)+7=19 damage.
Arianwyn gets a +6 bonus to his next attack against the Shaman before the end of Kia's next turn.

Kia decides to move closer to the action to keep a better eye on Arianwyn, as there is no telling what he will get up to. She moves between Darius and Chary with a nod of her head and, sword in hand takes a swipe at the Seeker.

Move to G18:
[i]Inspirational Assault vs W3 vs AC 1d20+19=(16)+19=35
3d8+7=(4,7,1)+7=19 Damage and Chary gets a +2 bonus to her next attack against W3 before the end of Kia's next turn.

Arianwyn: If you fail your save vs domination next turn, you can roll again with a +2 bonus courtesy of Kia's Brooch of No Regrets

"OK, we'll go for the seeker." Kia turns her attention to the target of most of the party.

Move to D18;
Sunder Armour using a magic arrow against W3
1d20+19+1=(4)+20=24 vs AC.

In disgust, Kia swaps her bow for her longsword and prepares to wade into the fray.

"I think you should try to stay away from the stone." Kia shouts helpfully. The fires another arrow at the Shaman.

More Painting of bulls-eyes 1d20+18=(15)+18=33; 1d10+3=(9)+3=12 damage and the shaman is again inflicted with -2 to all ranged and area attacks.
In addition, Kia pushes the Shaman one square (so the stone will now be at M16)

Kia prepares to attack by aiming her bow (serruptitiously) at the shaman.

Paint the bulls-eye at Shaman 1d20 (16) + 18 = 34: 1d10 (7) + 3 = 10 damage. On hit shaman is at -2 to all ranged and area attacks.

"Right then." Kia switches to her sword, moves and then charges the remaining slaver.

Moves and charge ends up at S11. [ooc]Basic melee 1d20+20=(19)+20=39; 1d8+7=(8)+7+3=18 damage (inc. 3 fire) (I like these dice)

"Slaving degrades people. Did you know that?" She informs the slaver as she clouts him.

If that hasn't finished the slaver, Kia will spend an AP and hit him again

Inspirational assault 1d20+20=(9)+20=29: 3d8+7=(6,5,3)+7=21+3 fire damage. There is an effect as well, but no-one is near enough to benefit

Kia moves to fire off a magic arrow at the retreating rablmer.

Move to O23, Paint the bullseye vs R (using onslaught arrow) arrow1d20+18=(15)+19=34; 1d10+3=(2)+4=6 damage.
* Allies get a +5 power bonus to damage rolls against the rambler to the start of Kia's next turn
* Rambler is at -2 to all raned and area attacks
* Alllies get a +1 item bonus to attack rolls vs R to end of Kia's next turn.

"We'd better not let him warn anyone else or we could be fighting all day."

Kia moves forwards a bit, much happier now that the idle chatter has died down. She fires a magic arrow at the slaver harrassing Chary trying to waeaken it a bit.

Move to U21; Suder armour on S1 1d20+19+1=(11)+19+1=31.
On hit
* 2d10+7=(6,10)+7=20 damage
* All attacks rolls against S1 are crits on a roll of 18-20 to the end of Kia's next turn
* All Attack rolls against S1 gain a +1 item bonus.
* S1 is a -2 to all area ans ranged attacks.

Kia looks at Tutavak and decides he needs some help.

Kia decides to change tactics for a bit and get up close (by proxy anyway).

"Darius, could we just cut the cultural talk for a bit and hit something? Please?"

Commander's Stike Darius can clout S1 using a standard melee attack with a +5 bonus to damage

Now that everyone is awake again, Kia feels she can get on with the fighting with less to worry about. For now she is content to fire arrows in the nearest crusher. Once the field has cleared a bit, this tactic may change.

Kia looks doubtfully at her bow.

Kia fires off an arrow at the nearest crusher.

Paint the bullseye vs C3 1d20+18-2=(17)+18-2=33 (I.m assuming it has cover). 1d10+3=(8)+3=11 damage. AND...
All damage rolls vs C3 get a +4 power bonus AND...
C3 is at -2 to all close and area attacks

Kia looks with disdain at her fallen allies, and with some chagrin also, because she can do nothing to help them.

Deciding that attacking the slaver is the real enemy, she dicides to hamper it a bit.

Paint the bullseye vs S2: 1d20+18=(18)+18=36; 1d10+3=(1)+3=4 damage.
If that hits, everyone gets a +4 bonus to damage rolls against S1 to the start of Kia's next turn and S1 is at -2 to all ranged and area attacks to end of Kia's net turn.
Kia takes a step backwards to Y21.

Since no-one is claiming any of the other loot, Kia packs it into the bag of holding except for the skins and the feystep potions.

"Here, Baldrech, it is probably best that we leave the skins with you."

She speaks to Chary, Darius and Tutavak. "I think you need these more than Arianwyn or I do." She gives two to Tutavak and one each to Chary and Darius.

Kia os on 40HP with no surges left. She needs a drink.

Kia picks up a potion, assuming everyone else will also take one and follows Chary back to Baldrech's cave, being careful that they are not followed.

Once there, she places the takings from the formorian camp out. "Right, who is best to have these things?"

She takes a mug of beer from the cask and offers it around, (not forgetting Baldrech).

Power (Consumable): Minor Action. Touch this whetstone to a melee or ranged weapon you hold. The weapon gains a +4 enhancement bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls until the end of the encounter. This has no effect on the extra damage dice or other special effect applied when the weapon scores a critical hit.

Power (Consumable * Teleportation): Minor Action. After consuming this potion, you can use a move action to teleport up to 5 squares before the end of your next turn. If you consume another fey step potion before the end of the encounter or before 5 minutes elapses (whichever comes first), you teleport 2 fewer squares than the last dose allowed you to teleport.

Kia tries to lift the stone, but finds the effort of the last two fights has sapped more of her strength than she had imagined.

"Maybe some else had better do this. I'll help when I can, but I can't do much."

She appraises Darius, guaging his strength. "You can indeed help walk our road now. I think it will take several of us to carry this to where it belongs. Look, does anyone mind if we leave the human skins behind?"

She puts all the treasure into the bag of holding and stashes it in her pack.

Kia is keen to go and approaches the stone looking at the others for help in carrying it.

"Let's get this over with."

"Conscience?" muses Kia. "Maybe."

"I always thought of myself more as the one with the good manners. That's why I thought I'd better speak up first. I didn't want Arianwyn upsetting you." She indicates Arianwyn who is busily trying to get to grips with the polyglot gem.

"I think we need to get out of here. How good are you at carrying stones?"

Kia casually picks up her bow and faces the stranger.

"Are we to bid you welcome or kill you? Personally I'd rather not have to kill you, we have just had rather a hard fight already. Why have you been following us?"

Kia takes charge of the items found. She doesn't weant the formorians to know they have them. She does, however, don the Endless Quiver.

The bag of holding and the other items are (hopefully) distributed among the rest of the party, to be divvied out when they get back to Baldrech's hideout, along with a good tankard of ale. (Unless people can quickly claim them).

Kia delivers what she hopes will be the final blow for the raver.

Force of fellowship against R1 vs AC. 1d20+18+2=(10)+20=30. On hit 5d8+7+2=(2,6,4,5,7)+7+2=33 damage. As an affect, Kia can use one additional Inspiring word this encounter.

If that finished R1, then Kia will move to V12 and heal Whiteclaw for a surge+3d6+8=(6,5,2)+8=21HP, otherwise she will not move and heal Whiteclaw for a surge plus 19HP (i.e. 2 HP less)

Kia is out of inspiring words. But she can still heal others (just not herself anymore).

Kia looks in Arianwyn's direction and gives him some encouragement to get better. "You don't look that well..."

Inspiring word for Arianwyn who can spend a surge plus 3d6+4+2=(4,4,3)+6=17HP

All enemies grant combat advantage to all the good guys to the end of Kia's next turn

"And we were just starting to got on so well."

"Let's concentrate on one of them for now. I suggest our old enemy (i.e. R1). Everybody into position!"

Kia decides to stay out of the fray for a bit and let everyone move to a more convenient location (should they desire) for a concerted attack.

Move action: Order from chaos Kia and each ally can shift their speed as a free action, ignoring difficult terrain, and gains combat advantage against all enemies to the end of Kia's next turn.

What happens next depends on what everyone does, so I will wait until people post their free move and post the rest after that (sorry). I'm hoping that Whiteclaw will move up to R1 so Kia use her Commander's Strike with Whiteclaw to hit.

Healing situation: Kia can grant another player an additional healing surge while also healing them as if they had spent a healing surge+some random number depending on how close her allies are. So if you need healing but are low on surges, don't be afraid to ask and she will supply. She can't do this to herself though and she only has one surge left. Additionally she has two more inspiring words she can use on herself or others.

Kia switches to her sword and teleports next to the portal lord. Trying desperately to down it with her final reserves of energy.

Minor: change to sword.
Move: teleport to P18.
lead the attack against PL vs AC. 1d20+18+2+1=(11)+18+2+1=32.
On hit: 3d8+7=(6,4,7)+7=24 damage and Kia, plus all allies within 5 squares (YR1, W, A and T, and K) get a +5 bonus to attack rolls vs PL to the end of Kia's next turn.
On miss Half damage (i.e. 12 damage) and the bonus to attack rolls vs PL is only +1

Bloodied... Kia only has one healing surge left, so she may use her next inspiring word on herself. Don't worry about healing her for the moment. The more people there are within 2 squares of her, the more she can heal.

Still got lots of healing for everyone else.

Kia knocks another arrow to her bow and fires at the portal lord, hoping to help others bring it down eventually.

Move to S13:
Paint the bullseye at PL vs AC. 1d20+17+1=(15)+17+1=33; 1d10+3=(3)+6=6 damage and everyone gats a +4 bonus to all damage rolls and a +1 bonus to all attack rolls to the start and end (respectively) of Kia's next turn. These bonuses only apply to attacks on the Portal lord.
Additionally, PL is at -2 to all ranged and area attacks to the end of Kia's next turn.

Seeing the wounded, she heals Chary. "I'll keep you upright, and you can help Tutavak!"

Chary can spend a healing surge with an additional 3d6+4+4=(4,3,2)+8=17HP
