Ka'ta blinked, and frowned. "Well, good thing I cast that," She noted, as Song ran off yelling. She turned to cast again, staying to the back of the group of them. She darted up to slap Barkskin on Imperia again.
Ka'ta grumbles to herself in Mwangi. Now her toe hurts. But she does limp over, trying to use the fog to hide herself as best she can, to cast Barkskin on Song.
Ka'ta has no interest in dragons. She draws back towards Imperia and the Dwarf, muttering to herself and wiggling her fingers. As she speaks, fog seems to seep both out of her and the ground around her, boiling outwards in thick clouds.
"Because they might be friends with that dragon we saw?" Protests Ka'ta faintly from behind Song. She really doesn't want to tangle with a full dragon.
Ka'ta definitely would have taken credit for scaring the dragon off. She blinks at Song talking to it, and at the retreating dragon, and then falls quietly in line with the others, frowning. That was odd, but she doesn't feel comfortable asking about it. She doesn't want to look stupid. So she trails along behind them.
Same. Building internet haw been down. Still spotty and blips every blinking rainstorm ... given that its the rainy season right now, I've been grouching at building management all week, with little luck. Grump.
Ka'ta shrieks, "DRAGON!?" Maybe adventuring was not worth it... the druid flails and makes some attempt to dive behind Fukarth, nevermind that she's taller than him.
Ka'ta squirms a bit in the goo, muttering to herself in the clicking noises of her native tongue. "Someone better make sure nobody is coming to chop me to bits..." Aside from Fukarth, that is.
Ka'ta just grins at Song and her story of bravery, but doesn't contradict her or add to it. In fact, she nods. She stares blankly at the map, then looks over at Song again, her usual quiet.
Ka'ta settles easily enough, taking care of her meager possessions with care. The gear that they got upon the start of their adventures is the most carefully treated, as if Ka'ta is not quite used to having possessions.
At Song's question, though, the quiet druid nods and scoots over to use her last spell on Song.
Healz:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"Sorry for laughin' atchoo," Ka'ta notes.
"Easy to get along when I don't got much to say." Seems true, her lack of finesse with language is more obvious when she does talk.
Ka'ta sidles backwards, breathing quickly. She's impressed with Song's presence of mind. She scoots behind the dwarf. Not that he offers that much cover.
Ka'ta tries not to laugh a little more at Song - she just smiles at the bard with closed lips. The rain slicking her dark skin just makes her happier, if anything, and she trails along after the others, letting someone else try to open the door.
Ka'ta shrieks. Yep. She was sure startled there. But that's what they get for poking spooky mansions, she supposes. All of a sudden she feels much more sympathetic to Song!
Ka'ta eyes the clouds with a shrug - storms do not bother the storm-rider, really, but she seems willing to follow the others. Song just gets a 'look'.
"Well, err," Ka'ta knows that she's not much of a liar, so she tries to tell as much of the truth as she can around the inherent lie; "I worked it off, but of course I'm still not a citizen...Now I'm adventuring to make some money for that shop wanted. Make enough and I can go anywhere, you know? "
No, really!:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Ka'ta manages to be halfway convincing, and also manages not to look too surprised about it.
"Uh , oh ... Oh my god! Rasha!" Ka'ta is so surprised that she momentarily forgets what they're doing here, but it filters back in before she opens her mouth. She smiles, trying to change her attitude subtly to be less military and more carefree adventurer.
"What are you doing here?" She asks, before Rasha can ask her.
Ka'ta nods a bit seemingly at ease with the other druid quickly enough.
Druidic:
"Pardon my druidic, but I have never met another druid before my mother. It is good to see you!"
She seems happy to see that he knows the wild spells that Ka'ta doesn't, and watches with fascination.
She sits with the other druid for a bit, asking him questions about the forests around here, and enjoys it thoroughly. Certainly more talkative than she's been with the others in the party.
She tries one of the berries in the morning with a happy sounding hum.
Ka'ta nods. She is indeed quiet. But she seems to appreciate the company anyway, pleased that they've managed to find something good to make fires with. She doesn't know anything about them, of course, but it seems like a plan to her!
Ka'ta does not seem particularly worried about the terrain and the changes therein. Actually, she's quite curious. She goes first, or tries to put herself there, fascinated with the greenery. Now, Ka'ta does not dive into the woods with the grace of a wild druid. She's just as awkward here as the next city goer, in fact. But she's quite enamoured of this new world she's running into.
Once they've stopped, she goes to find firewood without further comment or communication with the group. It just seems like something she should do!
