Kappi would love Goggles of Night, which give 60' darkvision. However, they cost 12,000gp!

Anything cost a little less and give the same or similar affect?

Looks like Peter Griffon's fly speed is 80', so could reach dragon on a double move... But am happy to let dragon fly off if it will.

Round 4

Now mounted on the back of the magical griffon the lad shouts out his orders. Come Peter, up into the air, Lets FLY!

Ride 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Peter the magical griffon leaps into the air with a snap of his wings while Kappi just barely keeps his seat.

As the griffon gets with in range the lad hurls his tanglefoot bag. While he feels its probably too much to ask that the white will fall to its death, he does hope the wings will be messed up enough to cause the dragon to have land.

Throw touch attack from Vanish 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
tanglefoot bag

Once he throws the lad becomes visible on the back of his flying mount.

Round 3

Kappi spots Vojtek’s dropped pack as he flew off into the sky. His keen Varisian eyes spot the magical griffon statue. With hasted speed the lad sprints over to grab the figurine. He shouts the command word. As the tiny bronze statue grows the invisible rogue hops on its back.

Still shaking with fear, Kappi moves around behind the dragon.

The lad has his magic sword in hand and readies an attack waiting for the dragon to come down so he can strike it from behind.

Readied attack 1d20 + 14 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 4 - 2 = 33

The lad has trouble with conscious thought. He pulls one of his magic blade as he moves and tries to get out of the killing ground.

The rogue leads the party out into the cold winter marshy wood. Being well after midnight they look for a decent place to make camp till morning.
The barbarian of the northlands takes charge of picking out a good camp, he takes advise from Ed and even smiles at Kappi's growing Survival skills. The boy remembered how to gather wood that would not smoke for a small fire.

Kappi smiles and laughs a little at Davosh's "magic show". It reminds him a little of life back home living in the Caravan.

Now through the hidden portal the party goes. The Varisian rogue leads the way. He is careful to be constantly scanning for hidden traps. He goes all the way to the door with the others only slightly ranging behind.

He carefully listens and checks the door.

Kappi doesnt understand most of what OjosLocos says.

The rogue is fingering the +1 ghost touch short sword though. He gives it a few practice swings. He then tries some double short sword moves. Round 2

Though slightly terrified, the rogue is moving a little too fast to really think about it. One tiny part of his mindbrain thinks that he should be more scared but perhaps its the insane amount of enchantments he is under is giving him the extra courage. Even though none of the enchantments are supposed to give him extra bravery...

The rest of his brain isnt thinking at all. Kappi feels as if his entire body is buzzing with energy. Its almost painful to stand still. He crouched for half a heart beat behind a stalagmite, but then he is sprinting toward the rear of the gigantic spider with his magic short sword.

One other small part of his brain really really hopes Vojtek will join him in direct battle with the spider. He doesnt think he can hold on too long by himself.

Turning to include the rest of you. This plan is simple, but with a few moving parts. I don't trust the stairs the previous ones were trapped, so I want to avoid using them. To do this first Kappi, take this thunderstone and when we're ready you will toss this into the middle of the pit. I say the middle because I don't want it to hit any stairs before it hit bottom. I will then jump towards the middle. I hopefully will have 2 or 3 indicators of when the bottom is almost upon me. First is the light rock I threw in their earlier. Secondly the light from this stone will show it to me, or three the thunderstone goes off so I know the bottom is near. When I think it's near, I will activate the feather fall ring slowing me, and saving me from death.

Vojtek,Ali, Davosh, Kappi I will need you all to be on the rope to pull me back up after I retrieve what we are looking for. You should be able to hear me since I was able to hear my first rock hit bottom.

Are you all good with the plan? Ed takes the north south head movement from everyone, and nods himself and does a final check on the rope around him, and everyone was in position. Good, Mr Matarito the initial action is on you, I will time my jump so the stone disappears into the darkness for a second. When I see the bottom, or hear the stone, I will activate the feather fall ring when I hear the thunderstone go off, or if I can see when I'm 20 or 30 feet from the floor.

The Varisian lad's eyes go a little wide as he believes this plan is crazy. However, he takes the thunderstone as instructed.

Making sure Ed is ready, Kappi tosses the stone carefully into the middle of the black hole of doom.

The lad finally continues his narration of their last battle. Even blinded my friend, you struck down the fierce eight legged centaur who nearly killed us both. In a true exhibition of berserker rage and literal blind fury you ripped him apart with your bare dragon hands. Kappi stops for a moment as if he wasn't sure that last part came out right.
The second powerful centaur was as deadly as the first... The Varisian lad continued the tale. Our Edward somehow kept us all on our feet with Apsu's healing power. But I'm sorry you weren't able to see his great feat of archery. I've never seen his hands move so fast... In two heart beats he had half a dozen shafts in the air. The half-man half-equine looked as if he was also part porcupine. Two of his arrow hits especially were spectacular! Drove deep into the torso... The lad faltered a bit trying to remember where he was going with the story.
And... And Ali! Wielding her magic and sword she was amazing. I don't understand it, but it was like ten warrior elfmaids were running all over the place. Our foe wasted many powerful attacks swinging at her cunning illusions. Yet even with her magery she suffered a massive hammer blow yet still stands!
And, and Davosh... his crazy eye was looking at everything! The lad again falters and rambles a bit Uh... uh, I'm not really sure exactly what our witch does in these fights... things beyond our ken... his weird stuff... But then Kappi gets excited again and keeps going. Oh Vojtek! You should have seen this one spell Davosh cast. Perhaps you heard it, or felt the fierce cold on your skin? He created a whirlyhurly storm of snow and giant hail stones that rained down on the other centaur. And then somehow the centaur just came trotting out of that ice blasted, icy spell hell. It was like his hooves were somehow levitating above the ice. He never slipped once. This is when he bore down on Ali and struck her. This is also when you ran blindly at the beast and kept him busy... The lad's smile gets huge.
You bought me time. I managed to get around behind the centaur. I waited till the right moment when I had the best opening. I nearly lept up on it's back but I drove my magic blade deep into it's back. I made sure to start my thrust low and bring it up under the ribs from behind. I pierced his lungs and drove deep into his chest. I used two hands to twist the blade and left a massive wound channel as I ripped the blade out. He tried to kick at me but my blade was already bleeding him out. Quickly the fire went out of his evil eyes and he collapsed to the ground. I knew you would be so proud of me... Kappi actually stops here and wipes a tear from his eye as he gets a little emotional. But... we all made it. Edward is healing the others up and we will all be fine in a few minutes.

The lad rambles on a bit more as he pulls his waterskin out to take a drink. He makes sure the fatigued barbarian drinks too. The blind Vojtek drains the rest of his water in a long pull.

Vojtek collapses on the floor in a heaving mass of exhaustion and pain. He beckons weakly for help to stand, and upon standing asks for help to sit somewhere so he can probe his grievous wounds gently...

As Kappi guides his big brother to an outcropping of rock at the cavern wall, Vojtek squeezes the lad's shoulder and congratulates him on his kill. To take his mind off his dire condition, Vojtek asks Kappi to recount the final moments of the battle for him.

He asks the young man to bring him The Hammer for a tactile examination.

In typical Kappi form the lad makes a mess of the story. Excited he begins talking way too fast. Oh Vojtek, you should have seen it! I slayerized the centaur who blinded you... Then realizing he was running his words together much too quickly for his slow witted friend the Varisian lad forced himself to stop and take a breath.

Speaking now in a slower, calmer voice Let me get you the great hammer first. Kappi goes and hefts the massive hammer. It takes more than a moments effort to get the huge weapon off the ground and to balance it on his shoulder so he could carry it across the room to his friend. Here Vojtek, I have the hammer. Reach out, there you go... The lad smiles at his friend's great strength. Always amazing the power in the barbarian's wiry frame.
Kappi held his tongue and thought about how he wanted to tell the story while Vojtek hefted the magic ice hammer and ran his hands over it's length.

Yes if he stops throwing his weapons and going with his "claws" Of course Ed can use it, but he's more of a ranged guy.

Ed can use it, your healing comes from his hp pool, the longer I can not waste actions on healing me is the more damage I can do.

Kappi would accept the Talisman of Freedom

** spoiler omitted ** Is this a one time use item? Sounds like it will be good against the Spider we have in our future. All of us can use it, but our largest damage dealer is Vojtek if he can be free for 3 rounds it could be a game changer. Ali and Kappi can avoid area attacks easier than Vojtek right?

What about the Rod of quickening and stuff?

I trust Davosh on this, if Ali needs help with action economy then it's hers.

Excellent point about the Talisman of Freedom for Vojtek. Likely super useful vrs the bigbadspider

Davosh's distribution ideas seem a bit out of whack — Kappi, as far as I can tell, has no need for the rod of quicken metamagic (lesser). :-)

Typing on the phone for the wi...er, non-win, I guess. LOL

Pretty sure he just mistyped. Kappi will take the Talisman of Freedom.

Quicken rod can go to Ali.

So, lets be better at not only dividing out treasure but having us put it on our character sheets and REMEMBER to use it!

I'm guilty of this. While I did put down the Cockroach Vest on my sheet, I kinda forgot about it. I didn't go back and do the math, but it might have kept Kappi from going unconscious in the last fight and he wouldn't have wasted an action or two just getting back on his feet.

Kappi would accept the Talisman of Freedom

What about the Rod of quickening and stuff?

Lets get it divided out.

Pssshhhht--piece of cake!!

Ali wipes her blade on the centaur's hide & sheathes it. Well done, boys. I thought you were dead!! Glad that didn't stick.

The Varisian lad cleans his blade as he was taught to clean any fine tool. But as survival from the harrowing fight sinks in Kappi suddenly has a case of the giggles. He seems a little punch drunk as he responds to the elven warrior. That was close. Both of those were deadly opponents.

Still stifling a laugh the lad makes Desna’s symbol over his brow.

Then he seems to steel himself. While Edward sees to their wounds (and there are many), Kappi moves on to other practical things.
First, he loots the dead. Perception Take Ten, 14 + 10 = 24

Then he begins to take a better measure of their surrounds and he searches the large room. For the moment he avoids the stairs.
Perception 14 + 10 = 24

Whoa! Threatening critical! 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 14 + 1 + 2 = 33

extra damage 1d6 + 7 + 4d6 ⇒ (3) + 7 + (5, 1, 6, 3) = 25
