I just managed to get the questionnaire completed. I have mechanics worked out in my head but haven't put anything in stone just yet. Thank you! Questionnaire: Guild Questionnaire For what reason does your character become an adventurer? What motive keeps them going? Tekaronhió:ken originally left home on the trail of a man from Cheliax who kidnapped several children from Arcadia including some from his own village. He hopes to one day find the man but is starting to come to terms with the fact that he may have failed in his mission. How did your character first hear about the House of Fate and Fire?I had recently heard of a man travelling through Taldor who matched the description of The Chelishman. My investigation turned out to be little more than rumors. Feeling like the hungry bear by an empty stream - that is, to say, frustrated - I decided to spend the last of my coin in a roadside tavern. There I overheard patrons speaking of the House and how they paid a decent wage and provided lodging. Why did your character decide to join the House over other options available to them? (Feel free to come up with some liberties on this one, whether they were recruited or tried out for the guild) How does the House fit into your motives as an adventurer? As luck would have it, the patrons in the tavern were members of The House of Fate and Fire returning from a recent assignment. We spent the evening sharing tales over pints and roast duck. In the morning, I asked the group if I could join them on their trek back to Zimar and they agreed. The adventuring parties live in dormitory-style apartments. The rooms are quite spacious, and the living/kitchen area is shared. What does your room look like? What kind of roommate are you? I keep my living quarters clean and tidy at all times save for a few trinkets from home. Easy to do when you spend as much time as possible outdoors. More than once I have come in to find someone asking my roommates if “This bed is vacant.” I suppose many might consider me the perfect roommate: clean and hardly ever around. While Teladora insists that adventurers don't need as much rest as normal people, Layla disagrees. The lamia makes sure that all parties get at least a week of downtime between adventures unless they ask for less. What does your character do to unwind? Nothing beats a day of fishing and napping followed by sitting around an open fire. Conversation is optional. I would never turn down a tale swap but, sometimes it is good to just watch the flames dance and think of the ones you miss.
I have an idea for a Rougarou fighter using the ear Dancing Style. I don’t know why it’s a Rougarou. But the concept is right there in my mind’s eye. So, yeah. Here’s some background fluff for Tekaronhió:ken aka The Dümfloofer. I’ll probably end up writing a little story for him but I felt like this was a good launching off point. Background Questions: 1. What is your character’s name? The name given to me by my parents is Tekaronhió:ken. The people of Avistan call me The Dümfloofer and my friends call me Düm. 2. How old is your character? I'll be twenty-eight years old this winter. 3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)? Most people tend to notice my white fur first. 4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)? Once the initial shock of meeting a rougarou wears off, people usually find that I am quick to warm up to people. And it won’t be long before I’m making jokes. 5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who? I was born in a small village on the western coast of Arcadia. I grew up fishing in the Okaiyo Ocean and hunting the Arcadian forests. 6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living? My mother is Kaiennenhawi and my father Sa:k. As far as I am aware, my parents are still living in our village. My mother is a talented seamstress and my father sold skins to the Andorans in Elesomare. 7. Do you have any other family or friends? My mother was expecting another child when I left home eight years ago. I asked my love, Ojistah, to treat my younger brother or sister as her own sibling. 8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids? No one has tamed The Dümfloofer yet. 9. What is your character’s alignment? I believe in doing what is right now matter who that may upset. NG 10. What is your character’s moral code? Fairness and good sportsmanship are testaments to one’s virtue. I must set the finest example of what it means to be sporting and noble in challenges of strength and honor. I respectfully seek tutelage from my betters, give honest guidance to the less accomplished, and cherish most of all my friendships with rivals whose skill matches my own. I will defend liberty, even when it challenges established community and family standards. Those who are true to themselves forge the strongest relationships with others, and I must protect them so long as they do no harm and do not infringe on others’ liberty in turn. 11. Does your character have goals? One day I will find the Chelsihman who kidnapped several of my village’s pups. 12. Is your character religious? Do I honor the gods? Yes, of course. Do I actively seek their guidance in prayer? No...no, I gave that up a long time ago. 13. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)? I tend to come off as too demanding of my friends or allies, but I really just want everyone to live up to their full potential. 14. Why does your character adventure? I originally left home to find the Chelishman who orchestrated the abduction of dozens of children in Arcadia, including several in my own village, but when the trail went cold in Taldor I ended up joining up with a group. I’m still hopeful that one day I’ll have the opportunity to save those stolen from their homes. But...it’s been nearly ten years and my hope is waning. 15. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer? It is a means to an end. But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy myself and the good company it brings. 16. Is there anything that your character hates? Failing to speak out against an evil act. Betrayal and the pain that comes with it. Slavery. 17. Is there anything that your character fears? That I was never going to be able to find the Chelishman.
Okay. I cheated with this one and just used the coddle recipe I have at home.

Ruin Explorer wrote: I’m surprised by how many have GM’d Serpant’s Skull. For those of you that have, what drew you to it, and how far did you get? I really loved the exploration aspect of book 1. I leaned hard into the hex map and my players spent so much time slowly creeping into the wilderness. It helped that 3 of the 4 players are big on survival games. We were all disappointed with how on the rails the campaign went after that but we did finish. In book 1, we had (maybe) 2 out of a dozen or so sessions where we either cancelled or not everyone showed up. By book 4 we were all "We gotta cancel? Oh bummer." In hindsight, we should've just called it quits but we really wanted to see it through.
I got to briefly play Reign of Winter when it first released but we barely made it into the first book before the GM decided he didn't like that all of the enemies were winter creatures. (Not sure what he was expecting). I long for the chance to revisit and complete it. I also have been aching for War for the Crown. I love the Lion Blade PrC and it seems like the perfect fit for it.

Having been lost in thought, the Doctor quickly dropped to one knee and spoke the words rapidly, “IKnowNoneAreBelowMe." Though he spat the words out after the others had begun, he finished the last syllable at roughly the same time as them. “What an interesting way to prepare healing and harming spells. Inked into your own flesh. Perhaps I could look into something similar.” Filip stumbled back as the tattoos swirled around his own neck, “On second thought…” The hairs on Filip’s arms stood on end as he naturally fought against, and probably failed to resist, the magic of the creature. “And here I was, thinking my days of physical labor were behind me. Don’t suppose we could contract out this task, eh? No? Okay then.”
Ok. Ok. I know I said I was going to bow out. But I can't stop thinking about this character. So, yeah, here you go lol Statblock:

It is beginning to be quite the annoyance, this packing up and relocating to a new establishment. Fleeing? Ridiculous, I would never do something so common. No, no, no. See here, how I’m carefully packing each piece of paraphernalia so that it fits perfectly into its precise position? Would someone fleeing do that?
Shush! Hmm, it would appear that our neighbors have contacted the local constabulary. Why would they do such a thing? Be honest with me, Ulose, do I give off a threatening aura? ...Yes, I am aware that I am holding a cleaver at the moment…...yes, I realize my clothes are stained with blood and gore...yes, some bits of intestines are in my hair...yes, I kno-WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH OUR CURRENT SITUATION, ULOSE?! Blast! Your constant chattering has alerted the constable to our current concealment! Alright then. I will exit through this window. You stay here and do your best to delay them. Now, I’m going to undo your restraints. Let us not have a repeat of the last time I released you, hmm? That poor girl… AH! You blasted bastard! WANTED: FILIP VLADIMIRISCU
Part2: This is not the first time that I have started with nothing. This time I was able to start with a gold coin. Following the rules outlined, I purchased as much food as I could with the coin. For my purposes, the age and quality was no issue. Afterwards, I had an amusing audience with some assiduous individuals and, once an amicable decision was made, they took the stockpile of rations and directed me toward a nearby treasury. And after a few nights of rolling up the ol’ sleeves, I made my way into Elidir proper with a decent set of wares to sell.
What do you mean “You don’t follow”? Fine, fine. Let me see if I can adjust my vocabulary...hmm. Right! I traded my shiny metal thing to an innkeeper for stale bread and moldy cheese. I took that sack of food to a nearby tribe of goblins. They then showed me where the wealthiest people in the nearby city buried their dead. I dug up the graves and sold the jewels back to the families. I took that money and put it toward material components necessary to create some potions and, again, sold them to the people of Elidir. It wasn’t long before I felt that I had accumulated enough wealth to accommodate this “trial” and I returned to the innkeeper. Naturally, he was suspicious of my reasoning for wanting a single coin back in my possession and swindled me out of every copper I had made.
I just wanted to point out that at the time of my submission I had no examples to provide. Here's from the very brief game that started and ended in a week's time.
@The Sorting Hat yeah, my main concern was adding to a formula book and crafting alchemical weapons and some potions. Otherwise, I have a concept just mechanics needed still. Part 1.:

It's crazy to think we have another week before decisions are made! @Nercelia Damosil You could always hold off and decide after the team had been picked. But that might seem a tad metagamey. So, let’s look at the options, right? Celestial, Draconic, Gnoll, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, and Sylvan. Hokay. Well, as an elf, sylvan and orc are always flavorful. Personally, I love taking gnoll. I just think they’re neat. But with Nercelia’s likes and dislikes wouldn’t celestial be pretty on point? I don’t know how often it would come up in this campaign but still.
Nothing major. But I adjusted the hair color in the artwork for Grigore.

That's the same kind of route I went. Goresk could easily been a heroic character but an evil act done to his family sent him down a different path.
Clarifications:
I hadn't wanted to come up with anything specific as far as these things go. However, I did have some ideas in mind. Possessed Hand: I had been leaning toward either a ghost or a spirit. I haven't much info on Royal Accusers beyond what the archetype says and what's in the summary for the novel "Bloodbound" (I have the book but haven't read it yet.) Essentially they are agents for the crown that specialize in rooting out criminal activity and supernatural activity among Ustalav's citizens. Anyhow, the idea I had was that while investigating some strange occurrences Grigore found himself in over his head. A spirit that was tied to the building where he was trapped offered guidance and a way to escape in exchange for bringing it along. And I kind of had this idea that it "broke" the spirit and that's what causes it to affect his concentration and to not really have a true personality of its own. Perhaps it somehow led to the fugue state? Maybe it's connected to his drawback? Fear of open water: I don't know if it's full blown thalassophobia but it definitely could in the future. As a child living along the shore of Lake Encarthan, Grigore heard of strange creatures below the surface and how they were responsible for the disappearances of many vessels and their crew. As an adult, Grigore would say that he doesn't like open water because of the unsure footing but that is a lie he's told so many times that he started to believe it himself. Coin Spending: I didn't realize you were being literal. All spent. Added some candles, chalk, a hat, and...garlic? "Why would I have garlic?" Statblock:

Blind-Fight Source PRPG Core Rulebook pg. 118 You are skilled at attacking opponents that you cannot clearly perceive. Benefit: In melee, every time you miss because of concealment (see Combat), you can reroll your miss chance percentile roll one time to see if you actually hit. An invisible attacker gets no advantages related to hitting you in melee. The invisible attacker's bonuses do still apply for ranged attacks, however. You do not need to make Acrobatics skill checks to move at full speed while blinded. Normal: Regular attack roll modifiers for invisible attackers trying to hit you apply, and you lose your Dexterity bonus to AC. The speed reduction for darkness and poor visibility also applies. Choose three Knowledge skills. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge checks of these kinds and on concentration checks. In addition, choose one Knowledge skill. When researching, you are considered to have Skill Focus for that Knowledge skill when determining what die you roll to reduce a library’s knowledge points (kp). Class Abilities:
Class Skills: A royal accuser adds Knowledge (local) to his list of class skills, instead of Knowledge (nature).
Meticulous Inspection (Ex): A royal accuser gains a morale bonus equal to 1/2 his inquisitor level on all Perception checks (minimum +1).
Domain: Like a cleric’s deity, an inquisitor’s deity influences her alignment, what magic she can perform, and her values. Although not as tied to the tenets of the deity as a cleric, an inquisitor must still hold such guidelines in high regard, despite that fact she can go against them if it serves the greater good of the faith. An inquisitor can select one domain from among those belonging to her deity. She can select an alignment domain only if her alignment matches that domain. With the GM’s approval, an inquisitor can be devoted to an ideal instead of a deity, selecting one domain to represent her personal inclination and abilities. The restriction on alignment domains still applies. Each domain grants a number of domain powers, depending on the level of the inquisitor. An inquisitor does not gain the bonus spells listed for each domain, nor does she gain bonus spell slots. The inquisitor uses her level as her effective cleric level when determining the power and effect of her domain powers. If the inquisitor has cleric levels, one of her two domain selections must be the same domain selected as an inquisitor. Levels of cleric and inquisitor stack for the purpose of determining domain powers and abilities, but not for bonus spells. Judgment (Su): Starting at 1st level, an inquisitor can pronounce judgment upon her foes as a swift action. Starting when the judgment is made, the inquisitor receives a bonus or special ability based on the type of judgment made. At 1st level, an inquisitor can use this ability once per day. At 4th level and every three levels thereafter, the inquisitor can use this ability one additional time per day. Once activated, this ability lasts until the combat ends, at which point all of the bonuses immediately end. The inquisitor must participate in the combat to gain these bonuses. If she is frightened, panicked, paralyzed, stunned, unconscious, or otherwise prevented from participating in the combat, the ability does not end, but the bonuses do not resume until she can participate in the combat again. When the inquisitor uses this ability, she must select one type of judgment to make. As a swift action, she can change this judgment to another type. If the inquisitor is evil, she receives profane bonuses instead of sacred, as appropriate. Neutral inquisitors must select profane or sacred bonuses. Once made, this choice cannot be changed. Orisons: Inquisitors learn a number of orisons, or 0-level spells, as noted on Table 2–4 under “Spells Known.” These spells are cast like any other spell, but they are not expended when cast and may be used again. Orisons prepared using other spell slots, such as those due to metamagic feats, are expended normally.
Racial Abilities:
+2 to One Ability Score: Human characters get a +2 bonus to one ability score of their choice at creation to represent their varied nature. Medium: Humans are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size. Normal Speed: Humans have a base speed of 30 feet. Bonus Feat: Humans select one extra feat at 1st level. Skilled: Humans gain 1 additional skill rank at 1st level and 1 additional rank whenever they gain a level. Languages: Humans begin play speaking Common and their ethnic language. Humans whose ethnic language is Common (or Taldane, in the case of Chelaxians or Taldans) do not receive an additional ethnic language. Humans with high Intelligence scores can choose any languages they want (except secret languages, such as Druidic). What makes up a person?: Likes: Organization and order are of prime importance to Grigore and he is a firm believer that order is required for society to prosper. Grigore has a fascination with pocket watches and probably had a small collection at one point. For as rigid as he can come across, Grigore loves poetry. Dislikes: Disorganization irritates Grigore in a manner which few other things can. A native of Ustalav, hating undead is as natural to Grigore as breathing. Grigore hates seeing when the punishment is far worse than the crime and seeing the falsely accused punished. Quirks: Grigore often will begin a sentence with "As I was saying" even when it’s the first thing he’s said. When deep in thought, Grigore will repeatedly crack the knuckles on his left hand over and over. Phobias: You would be hard pressed to convince Grigore to travel over open water - once the shore is out of comfortable swimming distance he becomes agitated.
