Male, CN Human Moon Druid of 2 | HPs 13/13 | AC: 16 (with shield) | Init: +1 | Saves S:-1, D:+1, C:+0, I:+4, W:+5, C:+2 | PP 15

Jaylen swats the wolf attempting to knock the wolf to the side and hopefully unconscious.

Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Slashing: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Piercing: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

if the swat doesn’t work, he will use his maw to finish using Subdual damage on the wolf. If the swat works, he will move to the remaining goblin and chomp down on the creature.

In bear form Jaylen is 30/34 hps.
Jaylen bites at the goblin nearby but taste nothing but as the goblin dodges out the way, a bear claw rakes across the goblins chest.

Slashing: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 5) + 4 = 13

Jaylen returns the potion of healing favor from the parties previous encounter and pours one down Braith’s throat before transforming into massive brown bear. Filling the cave with a menacing roar, Jaylen moves the protect Braith and draw the attention of the wolf and goblin attacking her.

apologies for the delay.
After this, Jaylen is tapped. No spells or shapeshifts remaining. Full health though so a pile of hit points between the bear and himself. Glad we havnt updated to the new rules. Druids get kinda roughed up a bit with the update IMO.

Looks like tow of you are using potions on Jaylen. Lol. Potion: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 2 = 7

Coughing lightly from the smooth liquid Jaylen sits up ”What did I miss?”

I did not use a wild shape this fight. I was saving it for an I counter with the wolves to try to tame them but this bottle neck has pretty much taken the fight outa me. Lol Most of the good things to turn into are large as well making it additionally difficult.

Is it getting cold in here?, Jaylen let’s loose another burst of cold toward [ooc]goblin 3[/dice]

Male, CN Human Moon Druid of 2 | HPs 13/13 | AC: 16 (with shield) | Init: +1 | Saves S:-1, D:+1, C:+0, I:+4, W:+5, C:+2 | PP 15

Jaylen moves up behind Gideon and looking around everyone lets a blast of frosty ice flow from his fingers at the Goblin in front of Toki.

let’s try it one more time still trying to hit all three goblins with the ice shattering ice knife grenade.

Male, CN Human Moon Druid of 2 | HPs 13/13 | AC: 16 (with shield) | Init: +1 | Saves S:-1, D:+1, C:+0, I:+4, W:+5, C:+2 | PP 15

Jaylen, trying not to hurt the wolves would like to throw an Ice Knife at the cage behind the middle goblin. This would then explode into cold damage on the goblins with a saving throw involved. Trick is that the spell technically says creature as a target. If you stick with the creature, we’ll say the cage is what he was targeting but mistreated and it would hit the goblin by mistake including all of the wolves in the area.

Ice Knife: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Piercing: 1d10 ⇒ 7
Cold: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10

Looking around the cave bend, Jaylen sees that all of the enemies are grouped but also a bottle neck. Jaylen slides his palms together producing a frozen knife made of ice, and then hurls it toward the goblins.

Sensing a chance to finish the fighting with a killing blow to the Bugbear, Jaylen strikes out with a savage intensity. Rearing up on his haunches, he claws a the bugbear to send him off balance and then comes down hard to grab the creature’s collar in his vicious teeth.

Geesh, wish I had a line AOE spell lol.

Peering into the clearing, Jaylen surmises ”I’m confused, The High Druid mentioned a hobgoblin and vicious goblins but it seems the goblins attacking are the viscous ones.” chewing on an idea, he adds ”Perhaps we call out to confirm who this Bulak is?”

If Toki charges in without discussion, Jaylen will still call out and see which of the goblinoids respond. (Assuming it should be the the hobgoblin?)

still playing old rules unless you’re swapping with the update. Circle of Moon gain shape change as BA and CR 1 or below. New rules all circles shape change as a BA and I’d have to check about the CR. Just let me know if we’re updating to new rules or not.

Sorry, just noticed I never updated my stat line to reflect the chosen circle.

The instant the trap explodes all over the deck Jaylen, who was merely watching bemused at the greed of his companions, rushes for the deck rail. Not quite making it to the rail wretches all over the deck. He then stumbles to the rail almost slipping on his puke and then releases again.

No longer bemused, the Druid makes his way back to his hammock is not seen for the rest of the day as he recovers from the terrible ordeal.

Later, he is quite amenable to get off the ship when the moment presents itself as previous events seems to have unsettled his stomach and it’s almost like some time on solid land is the only thing that can settle it.

Jaylen ascends the decks along with everyone else, slithering along behind them. sss ssss ssss” the snake almost sounds like it’s chuckling when Gideon opens the lock. The poor cook is even more concerned to see the rather large viper rear back and lick the air with its tongue nearby the stew pot to get a sense of the aroma.

Topside, Jaylen appreciates Tokis attempt at subterfuge with the call to the captain but is unsurprised to see the young warrior on his back as recompense for his actions. But the fury in which Toki responds is impressive and Jaylen can’t help feeling his cold blood warm just a little as the urge to strike wells within his coiled body.

“Jaylen, because of where Gideon is located, I don't think the pirate would move to a space where you could attack him -- he would have an enemy on three sides.”
I mentioned in the post, you probably just missed it that the snake has a 10ft reach with its attacks.

Jaylen decides to stay in serpent form after the cell guards are taken care of and breifly considers trying eat one of them when Braith suggests getting rid of the bodies. “It would take too long to digest a body that large.” the Druid ponders.

as the WHAT, that depended on the plan.
1. If Jack can charm them into setting us free, sounds good. If not, I’d say he would shapeshift into something with smaller arms. Or no arms, how about a giant poisonous snake.

Jaylen, frustrated with himself for some bad directions during the heat of the case remains silent for most of the incarceration. Once in the hold, he informs the party… ”I can slip out of these shackles easily.” the Druid says quietly. ” Tiki remember when we were sparring and I turned into an animal, I’ve gotten much better at it. I can change into many things now. We just need a plan on how to get off this ship and find the rest of our crew.”

So Jaylen has become quite the master of shapechanging. I think that he has multiple ways of freeing himself from the bonds. Getting the others out is the trick. If the play is to lure the guard in and then take him out to get the keys, I’m down with that. Just don’t want to get everyone else involved in a fight that they are shackled up for.

During their sparring, Toki, being the far better swordsman swats at Jaylen and knocks him off balance and then tripping then tripping the Druid. To Toki’s suprise and a little to Jaylens, Jaylen’s face and body transformed very quickly and an angry bear stands before Toki menacingly as if taunting Toki to try that again.
