Taking some time, Iolande circles the camp, picking up only branches and twigs that have fallen off the trees. She doesn't dare pluck anything from the trees themselves. Returning with a small bundle of wood in her arms, she asks. "Is it safe to build a fire, here? They did warn us it would get very cold at night."

"Veniera is right; I think we're all okay." Iolande crouches by the deceased panther-like beast, and touches the skin on it's muzzle, which seems to move freely. "I've never heard of Krenshar being in this area before. It's magical, as you've said, Urdel. They sometimes befriend druids or rangers, so it's possible there might be another entity in this forest who brought it along."

And just like that, it's over. Shaking her head to get the last of the sleep fuzziness out, Iolande finally finds her bearings. As Moll and The Twigg approach, she follows a few steps behind. Among their number is a human woman who appears to be somewhere in her mid twenties. Her dark hair is cut short, framing an oval face which seems to be in a perpetual smirk. "Iolande Hafford," the woman answers, at the request for introductions. Her accent, though light from years away from said homeland, is Galt-ish. "I know a little swordplay and a little magic, still working to combine the two." At the Centaur's warning, the young Magus nods. "Thank you for the warning. We will be on our guard for this cat, and we will take care not to do anything to harm these woods."

Iolande takes a few moments to get her breath back, and wipe eyes that sting from the smoke. She wanders over when she chest is opened, and her eyes widen just a touch at the sight of the scarab. However, Ryster gets to it first, and she gives him a private smile. "I agree with Hrolf," she finally says. "The warehouse fire will alert her and cause her to squirrel herself away until this blows over. It's...regretable how it makes us appear, but it needs to be done."
