that’s why I included the ‘dinner jokes are in poor taste’ joke myself, though that may have been a bit subtle (my RL friends are just really used to me making subtle puns at this point I underestimate how obvious I need to make them to be caught by an average person). It was a good joke.

I don't really have a ton to add here, but I figured I should post something, just to avoid not posting for a week or so. Io is good with whatever, and each approach has its pluses and minuses.

Oh, and I do know about the throwing shield. My starting one has that property. Plus, I have a class feature that allows me to sort of mimic it.

Io jumps down from a neighboring rooftop, rejoining her comrades, fists wrapped in canvas to save wear on her fingers (and, of course, to "cushion" the blow to her targets), and a pair of shields on her back (don't ask me how that works. I have no idea.

"Does anyone else think I should get a dozen or so bucklers to throw? It's an amusing image, with tons of flying disks soaring through the air, hitting people on the head.... it could make a fun sport." she muses.

Definitely inventing the Frisbee when we get a good amount of downtime. Except I imagine Io's version would more closely resemble dodgeball, and wouldn't use light, plastic disks.

That's where! I really should have known, considering I'm in both RotR and SD at the moment....

It's kind of funny playing as an on-the-fly, shrug-it-off kind of character, as most of my PCs at the moment are meticulous planners. It's a nice change of pace.

We can always say that we'll help temporarily, and move on if we need to do something they don't like. You survive in this city by either being powerful, or being in favor with someone who is."
