I caught up to the group, that afternoon -- I think.

Himiko will join the rest of the group. "I don't know what we can do against so many, but it could be fun to try."

I'm okay with that.

Not being anywhere close, Himiko says nothing. :-)

Red ribbons flutter in the breeze. Four young women sit beneath a flowering wisteria listening to a fifth play the pipa.

Himiko smiled into her sleeve and enjoys the breeze and the music. Humans are such lovely creatures. They only see what they expect to see.

For the last few weeks Himiko had been Na Wang, niece of the city magistrate, recently arrived in Chang'an from the western provinces. The nobility, Himiko was discovering, often have to spend less than wealthy merchants for the finer things. Instead they received gifts. The young fox-spirit was coming to enjoy receiving gifts.

Later when her "cousins" would retire during the heat of the day, Himiko would sneak out of the compound as Ji Chen, a young wushi, and meet her other friends in the city -- her more exciting friends.

Which elemental aspect am I?

Wow. My age just happened to work out perfectly with my sign.

If we pick the same Zodiac, should we also be the same age? Should we account for the year differential between the birth dates of other party members?

Since none of them seem particularly happy-go-lucky, I'm debating between Rat and Snake.

I've come up with appearance and personality. Still considering how best to flesh out the backstory. The barebones of it, in my mind, are that she is from a long line of Oracles who tended a sacred shrine, but she has ran away to lose herself amongst the humans.

I've done the crunch besides for the money. Is there anything more you can tell me about the Kitsune of these lands to help with the creation of the backstory?

At first, Himiko gives the forward man a dubious eye. Little seduction here. One line of flattery? What have they taught him in his temple? I received an entire verse from that poet. Where are the gifts that I should receive to even entertain favoring him?

The tall Tian woman gives the inept prostitute a small smile. It is perfect, gracious, and utterly cutting. "You are correct. My beauty is too great to waste. I save it for the goddess, or perhaps Kofusachi were he here."

You should take it as Grimkell is presenting a male gender performance, but that the stereotypical physical traits associated with that performance might not be present on close inspection.#sheisadragking#getintoit ;-)

Himiko claps in appreciation. Say one thing for Himiko: say that she loves to be admired. :-)

The Tien woman laughs delightedly at the Skald's artistry. She stands tall, her red and white silks rustling, and from her white fox fur muff she pulls a gold piece and flicks to his feet.

"And how would you sing of my beauty, poet? Flames can be beautiful. But beauty cannot be exhausted by fire. What would you sing of Himiko Ojimi -- wayward wandering, lost-long daughter of Myja?"

If I recall correctly, norse poetry was full of kennings, which are an admixture of metaphor and literary reference. For example, a warrior might be called a "feeder of ravens" or losing an eye, "Odin's Price"

Raising a heavy cuff to her lips, Himiko laughs softly.

"Nobles? Not in traditional sense, though we possess great inner nobility." Her laughter sounds like chimes in the breeze.

"The Ojimi are my people. My clan?" She stumbles over the unfamiliar word. "Mother was great traveller, like Varisia. She brought the Ojimi here through southern seas, but we have all been scattered. I thought to return to Tian Xia by northern passage. Tell me of your people. Tell me of the Bishops."

Himiko smiles demurely, looking at Lex through long black lashes. "Thank you for the gift of your name. I am called Himiko. I am of the Ojimi. It makes my heart glad that the cider found favor with you."

She raises a pale hand to signal a barmaid to bring another round. When she comes back with the cider, Himiko asks for another two bowls of that delicious looking soup for her and Lex.

Himiko frowns thoughtful, "Its varied nature could be its beauty. It sounds like a woman who has left her home on a long journey. Her cloak may be ragged. Her boots worn down. But there she is, continuing to walk. I do not know elven either. So much to learn."

The Tien woman listens attentive and thinks for a moment before she responds. "No. No pirates. Pirates always more trouble than they are worth. You must be scholar to speak so many tongues. I wish I spoke more. I have heard Varisian before -- quite lovely."

Himiko orders two hot, mulled ciders and takes them over to where Lex is sitting.

"Pardon," the Tian woman says with a hopeful smile. "I am new to this country. Do not yet speak this language well. If I am not interrupting, may we sit and talk? I have brought warm cider.

An exquisite Tian woman opens the door. Taller than most men, she wears red and white silken robes with heavy brocade cut low enough to hint at everything but reveal nothing. Her hands are held together in a white fox fur muff near her narrow waist. Her long black hair flows like a river of night down her back, held back from her face with jade combs. Her face is angular -- almost sharp -- but achingly beautiful and her green eyes are almost hypnotic in their intensity. In short, she looks like she is dripping in money and good breeding.

Gliding up to the bar, she speaks, "Many pardons, good sir, may I have some of your wine -- for the chill -- and some of your advice? I am . . . recent to your town. What should I know of Heldren." Her Common is thickly accented by the lilting tones of Tian Xia, but her tremulous smile and her voice are lovely.

I would like to submit Himiko for consideration. She is a Kitsune Sorcerer with the Fey bloodline. I'm extremely excited about the possibility of playing her because not all GMs seem excited by the prospect of non-Core races. In interest of full disclosure, I'm relatively new to Pathfinder. If I've made any mistakes, please let me know. :-)

In the interests of full disclosure, this will be -- if I'm selected -- the first time I have ever played Pathfinder, though not my first time roleplaying. I've read several of the books and I'm eager to play. If I have done this character sheet incorrectly, please let me know.
