@Raltus, which time zone are you in? I'm just curious so I can figure out exactly when recruitment ends :)

I don't think that 'The Will of the Force's is pretentious at all! It definitely fits in with the broad theme of the game, I think it's kinda neat actually

So far I'm tossing up between a Mammoth Shaman who clings to the tribal teachings of the Kellid, or an Oracle of battle blacksmith. I'll think on it more and submit a full application when I've fleshed out the ideas more

That's a pretty versatile cross section of applications, I can already pick a few really well balanced combinations. Looks like you've got plenty to chose from DM Raltus!

Reyr is probably going for path of the Champion

I've never had the chance to play Wrath, I've GMed the first module. I'd love to see if I can come up with a character for this.

Dot!

I'm cooking up an idea for a druid hailing from the northern reaches of Greyhawk. I'll keep an eye out for the character creation guidelines and the recruitment thread before I move too much further though.

Zev is pretty much done, I've only just returned from a 30hr round trip of the eastern coast of Australia so I've been a little baked lately though... Expect my PM in the next 48 hrs

How long are you planning to run the recruitment for?

Dotting, thinking a keleshite paladin of sarenrae

I'm getting there LCF! It's such a tough gig to pour through submissions that people have obviously out so much time into, I just want to take them all :(

@DM Gee-Em, awesome, I'll see if inspiration strikes me.

Are you down with people throwing in multiple submissions? I've got a fair bit of time on my hands and I'd love to throw another hat into the ring...

Dotting, thinking of rolling up an ex-asmodean infernal bloodrager

I cast a vote for option 1 or option 4. I've only played homebrew 5e campaigns so it would be cool to actually participate in a published AP

Dot. I'm cooking up a charming Half-Elven brawler looking for work as a bouncer in Riddleport.

I'm gonna have to pull out of this one guys; I'm really struggling to finish off my story and I just can't seem to get into the Eberron zone. Best of luck to everyone!

Legacy of Fire would be cool, I've never had the chance to play it and I've only heard great things

How long ago was the day of mourning in your setting?

I'm working on a story for my character now, I've decided on a paladin/celestial sorcerer combination.

Dot! I'm thinking of a displaced Cyran refugee who was a military scout during the war (probably gestalt fighter/rogue)

I'll throw a vote in for Drow

What's the hook for the potential new character joining up with the rest of your party?

I'm interested in this for sure!

Yeah, we've got some pretty fantastic stuff brewing, Grinningjest3r and I will organise our thoughts into a few different angles and out something up soon

I love this idea! Consider this an expression of interest, I haven't got a partner but if there are any other takers feel free to PM me and we can work on something together.

I'm really sold on the idea of my character's pre-adventuring life involving him being something of a survivalist. Would it be reasonable to assume he'd have met/spent time with Shalelu, and possibly have encountered some goblins? I'm leaning toward ranger with goblins as his first favoured enemy, and I just wanted to see what the limitations are on backgrounds before I commit to writing him up in full.

Firstly, thank you so much for the prompt reply! I'm very committed, I've only recently discovered the PBP method of gaming and it suits my lifestyle so much more than a face to face game (I move around a lot for my job). I've been trying to crack the forum games for the last month or so with pretty limited luck, but I feel like persistence will pay off!

I'd like to dot... I'm super inexperienced at pbp but I've been playing DnD since 3.0 and pathfinder since 2010. Do you have an issue with a relative newbie trying his luck? I was accepted into a pbp game for this AP but we only made it into the first round of combat before the GM had to pull out.

M Human

So sorry to hear that you're going through something not so great KLS. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say take as long as you need to get on top of it. Best of luck mate, our thoughts are with you

Given the background we've discussed for Zev, are you happy for his starting equipment to consist of the clothes on his back and maybe a hidden cache of credits containing his starting wealth?

Ok cool, thanks for clearing that up

I've just had a hit of inspiration with my character idea, he's coming along pretty well. Would it be reasonable to assume he is/was a low level member of the silver ravens?

There are so many awesome character ideas here, this is gonna be a tough choice for you Kaavek!

Awesome, I'll start putting something together

How would you feel about a Ranger with the Raven Master archetype?

I think I was right I'm the middle of editing that post when you replied, what are your thoughts on the shadar-kai as a player race before I commit to a build? The player's guide states that Shadowfell isn't too far from the Vale... If you don't like the idea that's cool though, I can work around it :)

How do you feel about content from the Blood of Shadows supplement? I've been itching to play somehing from there, maybe an elven dusk knight paladin, or a shadar-kai bloodrager with the shadow bloodline if you're allowing them? I know they don't really exist as a race in pathfinder, but it wouldn't be hard to build one of you're down with the idea

So, how is everyone doing with character concepts? Has much changed from the initial ideas? I'm really trying to get a feel for how our motley crew will look when gameplay starts, I'll be playing a down on his luck Mandalorian Commando /Mercenary, a little rough around the edges but with a heart of gold

Have you had a look at the Star Wars d20 Arms and Equipment guide? I think it was based on DnD 3.0 but it's got a lot of pretty solid material which would convert nicely into pathfinder rules.

I just wanted to pipe in and let you know I'm still lurking. My character idea is coming along, but I'm trying to be very careful in sticking with the lore so the research is taking some time. I'll start polishing my ideas and put something concrete forward soon; I'll probably steal Yorick's template because it's pretty awesome.

I'm just chiming in to maintain my expression of interest. Work has been killing me this week, I'm still ironing out the kinks in my character

Is there a cutoff date for submissions? I've almost got my character completed, I should have him sorted out in the next 24 hrs

I like the idea of a self-taught fighter who is working in the mines to make ends meet. I was also toying with the concept of him as a bladebound magus. His tale would go something along the lines of the discovery of an old, worn out blade on a foray into one of the cairns as a bored youth. I had some cool ideas about the blade being a curse, perhaps it marked his hand when he first touched it at the same time it began to awaken his latent magical ability. I was kinda thinking this mark would begin to spread as he gained more powers, and that his primary motivation to get out of diamond lake would be to try and understand what's happening and potentially cure himself.

I'm new to PBP, however I've recently been accepted into my first game. It's currently running at a pretty steady pace and I feel like I can take on a second character. If you'd consider an application from someone new to the boards I'd love to throw a character idea into the mix. I started my DND career 14 years ago in the world of greyhawk, and it's always held a dear place in my heart.

That's good to hear, figuring out how we're going to deal with equipment will have a massive bearing on my character. I plan to make his armour a big part of how he plays out both mechanically and thematically, so I'm all ears.

The same goes for my character, I'm working on a displaced Mandalorian bounty hunter/mercenary type so he'll pretty much follow anyone who can lead him into a good fight

Awesome, I'll start working on my character. I'm going with the same concept I posted in the interest check, I'm going to be playing a skinwalker brawler.

@Chapel, I don't know why but that made me laugh way more than it should have

Is this still open for submissions? I've just stumbled upon the thread and it sounds really interesting, I'd love to throw my hat in the ring

Sounds like a plan Syrus, I'll put some time in and try to get a character blueprint to you by the end of the weekend :)

What level are you looking at starting this? Ive got a concept in mind for an afflicted lycanthrope which is +1 character level, but I could just as easily rewrite him as a skinwalker barbarian with the moon cursed archetype
