I ain't had my fill of that since last week." And the pair lumbers off into the distance (where did that sunset come from??)

...also, Tzayl gave us two choices to earn "favor" with the Ancestors before they might grant us "insight" into the Temple: the House of Renewal and the Maze of Ghosts. In the Maze, we found half of a server code. It wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to conclude that the other half of that code might be found at the House of Renewal. (this book was a little bit of a railroad)

Hey, all. I just received word that my work is closing permanently and I'm being laid off. I suspected this might happen, so I wasn't caught too off guard, but it still sucks to say goodbye to something I've been doing for fifteen years. The next X amount of days will probably be a mess as I file for unemployment and get my resume updated and start applying for new work, so please bot me if needed. I'll try to check in every night.

"Sitting on my ass every day playing Hackmaster, and you know it." Don't forget, Operatives also have a debuff that you can choose when you hit an enemy: Debilitating Trick wrote: When you hit an enemy with a trick attack, you can make the creature flat-footed OR off-target until the beginning of your next turn. Against a single enemy, like this, it's usually best to make them flat-footed so that the rest of the party can hit easier ^_^

"Dreamz," huff puff, "when you reprogram the ship's AI," cough wheeze, "less on the cardio routines." Hi-C doubles back and swings down on the hologram's outstretched arm. Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 14 - 4 = 15 (vs KAC)
Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 14 - 4 = 23 (vs KAC)
8 rds of Haste remaining.
Kasatha Soldier (7)
Guard's Protection again; Rover takes 10, Hi-C takes 3. Hi-C activates his haste circuit and gives chase! Assuming the Hologram is within 65 feet, Hi-C takes a swing: Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 (vs KAC)
Kasatha Soldier (7)
Rover was healed completely by Handsome before this most recent full attack. And when Rover gets hit this round, Hi-C will use Guard's Protection again to reduce Rover's damage to 7 (and Hi-C takes 0) Hi-C lunges forward to slash at the wall twice! Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 14 + 2 - 4 = 26 (vs KAC)
Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 2 - 4 = 16 (vs KAC)

Don't forget, Rover, at this level you unlocked Specialization Skill Mastery: Quote: You become so confident in certain skills that you can use them reliably even under adverse conditions. When attempting a skill check with a skill in which you have the Skill Focus feat, you can take 10 even if stress or distractions would normally prevent you from doing so. This allows you to Take 10 with Survival for your Trick Attack, which with a +20 should get you everything that a party of our level should be facing ^_^

Guard’s Protection on Rover's 1st hit: He takes 6, and Hi-C takes 0 after DR. Hi-C lunges forward to slash at the wall twice!
Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 14 - 4 = 23 (vs KAC)
Kasatha Soldier (7)
Hi-C was adjacent to Handsome when he was hit, so my Guard’s Protection would have triggered: When an ally adjacent to you is damaged by an attack, you can use your reaction to intercede. You take half the damage, and your ally takes the other half. Handsome takes 8, and Hi-C takes 1 after DR. Hi-C moves to a more central position within the group, to protect as many as possible, and then lunges at the apparition in the wall! Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17 (vs KAC)
Kasatha Soldier (7)
"Gobbammit." Hi-C turns the corner and lunges at the apparition. Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23 (vs KAC)
"Get behind me." And if an AoO presents itself: Defiant Carbon Steel Curve Blade : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 (vs KAC)

Just whatever Dreams can cook up with the leftover UPBs. If he carries it, he has to get rid of one of his magic items. Anybody else want his Glove of Storing? Honestly it hasn't done him much good. If nobody wants it, we can feed it to the UPB grinder.

Sidenote: in Starfinder, whoever's controlling the grapple doesn't actually gain the Grappled condition. "Sorry, Justin, you telling a snake what it should be eating is like a protein bar telling me to cut back on alcohol." Curve Blade vs KAC: 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 14 - 4 = 22
Curve Blade vs KAC: 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 14 - 4 = 15
