Sorry to Necro an old thread. I have not been on the paizo forums for a long time (I dont really game any more. No time).

@Lisa I am happy to see Paizo is still running this. I had heard a rumor that you had sold off Goblinworks and this made me sad. So happy to see its still happening. I tested it when it first came out and buggy (i kickstarted it) but Am downloading it again now to try :)

Best Wishes,
Goraxes

Time is your friend in this case. Escape pods have distress beacons. Who knows if they sent out a msg before escaping? Whose coming looking? how close to the next ship that might want to salvage this ship as well?

damn. Ok thanks

Wicked thanks Chris. I want to make the Blog Page I am doing for my pages have things like the same Blue outline Borders, etc that the book has :) . Any chance these will be included do you know?

Unrelated, they can stuff a s&~%load of grenades in their cheek pouches.

Would it be a Dirty Trick, and acrobatics to use their Tounges to pull all the pins before spitting them out? ;)

Hey there Everyone.

Some Companies release Image and content kits for people making fan sites. Images from Books, Border images, etc.

Any Chance Paizo has done this and I just cant find it?

Any plan to add templates for Locations?

Did not do costs up, but wanting to know if this is beyond broken. Thinking of using these in a campaign im writing.

Bloodlust

A 2-handed weapon that seeks a bloodlust.

Grants an ability like step up.

+1 <2-handed weapon>. Any Time a creature [friend or foe] drops below 0 hit points, if the weilder is within a 5 foot step of it, he must move within striking distance if able, and make a killing blow. If the weilder kills the creature, he gets the effects of Deathknell. Weilder may make a Will save to avoid this ability. DC 15+Level of the weilder.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Genocide

A <Weapon> Borne of Rage against the world.

The Weapon Has a Demi-God of Rage bound to it. Its not intelligent, but it is a Living Weapon. It is a +1 Adamantine weapon that gains +1 hit and damage vs a creature type it has killed within the last 48 hours. This resets if you kill another creature type. Thier is no limit to the Bonus.

Ya i think im gonna use a Modified Exploration Edict for Scouting. They will Have X many scouts to start that are X Level (thinking level 3 rangers). They will be able to hire/purchase more or higher level ones for BP. Then it still costs BP to fund a Scouting mission. Exploration Edict is for mapping hexes. Im thinking Scouting will just bring back possible missions. When i get it written up with the way im thinking of doing it i will post it here for opinions.

Just looked through Ultimate campaign (came out just as i finished the last run of kingmaker i had done). The Exploration edict is more or less scouting as i imagined it, using BP though. Will modify my Idea based on that :)

If I wasn't so busy with the kingdom tracking spreadsheet and some rules I'm working on to make kingdom rulership a bit more... interesting, I'd take a stab at expanded exploration edicts, since exploration is one of the most simplistic rules elements for kingdoms as it stands.

I love your ideas, Goraxes, sounds like you have it well in hand!

If i get it down how i want to do it, i will post here :)

I have actually run kingmaker 3 times now, so looking to write my own. Here is our blog with some of the tweaks i made if your interested :) the blog only went till around book 2 midway to end point. So neat tweaks i did though that alot of people liked.

In my campaign im writing up, the Group will be starting out with a small base of operations to start exploring from, but its going to be a much larger area then what Paizo put in for kingmaker.

I was thinking of doing like a World of Warcraft Garrison Idea to begin with, Where you can send NPCs out on Missions. These missions cost resources but have potential Gains. Scouts would be sent out, using a small amount of Resources per Tile they would be exploring. Their would be a small chance to losing a scout if there is a hazard or danger in the Hex. If a scout returns they would report if there is anything worth looking in to, or "Missions." Some Missions would be things the party could decide to check out themselves, or they could assign resources to it. Some would be things you would want NPCs doing anyways like "Looks like a suitable silver mine" and the resources you would spend would be to setup and maintain the mine and in turn get income from it.

Other Idea's are archaeology dig sites, Graves from Previous Civilization in the area, or setting up trade routes with another race. Each Mission would have a set amount of resources to spend, and the party might be able to work out potential rewards but not any mission would be worth it. They might spend 5 magic researching something only to get 3 back. They might also spent 5 Magic Resources and come out with a New spell from an ancient civ, or some magic items, or even an Artifact!

It would allow to a change in how exploration is done, and get out of the repetitiveness of rolling to explore, encounter anything there and move on. Would also allow some interesting story arc's. I would also make a Random Event Chart that could happen per mission type.

Opinions?
Thanks.

Its possible to order this now... does not say pre-order. If i order it will it ship right away before gencon??

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Android version would kick arse... like Lords of Waterdeep or Ascension on IOS

Been looking for idea's for a campaign where the party is in or running a gang. thinking something almost like songs of anarchy, or the novel 'among thieves (tales of the kin #1), etc

anyone think of any othe prgs that did this well?.

sorry for any typos... on my phone

If a monk takes Spell as a card feat, does he gain the arcane or divine skill? if not, then its just a one use? seems redundant.

fair enough. I thought about making it a Unique monster, that the Players would have to fight somehow (have not gotten there yet). Designed this last night while over tired lol

This game is epic

The Racial stuff isn't the problem... i need to figure out why they are here... or how they got here. Thinking maybe they might be slaves... Then they would have nothing but what i give them.

So i want to do a New World, or New to the world style game. The Planet does not need to be new, it could have ruins of old civilizations, But everything is new to the players.

2 options:

1.) They were born here. Problem is trying to have them born here with nothing here. Does not really work so well if you try to get story involved.

2.) they arrive via portal, magic, or Divine Intervention. Now how would you do that with out them bringing tech, magic, etc?

The Idea was to use advanced race guide, and let each player design 3 races they would like to play (give them like 10 points). Require them to give some background on them, etc. Then i would pick 1 from each to use. I already have some area's designed out for the world.

Just not sure how to start it up and have it all make sense. :/

The Boz wrote:

A friend expressed his desire to play a poisoner in my game, so I wanted to see how they work and so on... Yeah, they don't work. So I thought I'd change that.

Without pasting up twelve pages of text and wasting precious time screenshotting the various tables, I'll just post a ling to my work here. First off, the Poisoner. Once I was halfway through with it, I realized that poisons are really clunky, unstandard, somewhat awkward to use, etc. So I redid Poisons as well.

After working on those, I saw that alchemy and non-caster crafting as a whole needed some help, so that is going to be my next goal. Craft (alchemy) will have four feats attached, divided among the main ways to practice alchemy. First off, there's Poisons. That one is done. My next project is Substances, which would include explosives, acids, glues, etc. After that is done, I want to work on Concoctions, which would include healing poultices and potions, buffs, permanent stat increases, etc. Finally, there would be Materials, which would focus on temporary and permanent transmutation of metals, weapons, things like that. Like the poisoner above, certain classes would get the requisite crafting feat and/or crafting mastery for free early in their development.
I want to create a solid, consistent system that is a valid alternative to the "magic does everything" system that we have now.

How do you like the poisoner and poisons so far? Do you have any advice for the rest of my goals?

My group and I were talking about how the DC's are to low to make it worthwhile. One idea we have considered is to add your class level to the DC (Only if you have poison use. The bonus is levels from the time you get it). For Creatures with racial poison use they would use there race instead. Just an idea.

The Prices stay expensive but are worth using.

oh ok np. I thought thats what the FASB Files i bought were :( Just feats and NPCs i guess then. Bummer. Oh well. Thanks

Loving the stuff i have seen. Dumb Question though. How do we build ships with the FASB files?

Any Updates? :D

Any Update? :D im excited. Even got 3 of my players to buy hero lab this week lol.

*Wakes up, Runs to the computer. Checks Paizo for RC Update. Saddened. Goes to play bad video games*

swore all i said was in players guide... sorry guys

Sorry... the ship is actually talked about in the players guide tho

2 people marked this as a favorite.

How is this for a RC Starting point:

Spoiler:
I don't remember the name of the ship, as my book is not in front of me... The Slave ship that's fore sale. Its the ship my players are starting on. They were on there way to the Razor when They ALMOST defeated the slavers. Almost. Now when Bethany Gets to the ship its pretty weak. She takes it and promises to release the slaves when they get back to port.

DO to all there Gear being tossed in a chest to sell, they need to list everything they had. She gives them some masterwork gear to tide them in town till she can sort it all out. They will get all there gear back in a few days of game time... But for now it forces them to hang around town.

first thing i do when i wake up is check this forum... cant wait for the files.....

Any word now that PaizoCon is over? :D

Any chance we can find out the cost of the RC HL Files?

thanks

I know the FGG Books are not OGL but how much can we post? I want to put up a GM Forum for Razor Coast, but was wondering if i am allowed to post the play hand outs, maps, etc. Understand if i can't, but thought i would ask.

I think another good idea would be to have an "NPC Web," with a few new keywords or phrases to refresh my memory. If there's nothing out there from the authors or the community, I might work on one myself.

I want to write one up using Realm Works when it comes out. I Will see about posting the stuff when its done.

Any updates on ETA? :D im getting really excited!

ALSO: Is there a razor Coast specific forums for DM's to talk, etc?

Maybe inate abilities would be better. Let them use ANYTHING they want in the dream... but not bring it back :)

Then Released or then next step? :D

Shadow has been a HUGE help with all this, and I can't imagine getting this done with out the extra effort. Been a labor of passion, that's for sure. The DCF has done a great job!

SG

What is the DCF?

Also, i was thinking of typing up some of the NPC's in Hero Lab for the early Use (Like Bethany Razor). Is there a way to find out who has and has not been done? I got no problem submitting any who have not been done.

Thanks Skeeter. Do you need people testing them? I'm more then happy to help find bugs while doing up my own Razor Coast stuff ;)

The Kickstarter said there would be Hero Lab files. Anyone know if these are coming any time soon?

-bump-

Can you use For axample Shadow Conjuration or Shadow Evocations to counterspell? The SCHOOL is wrong, but they emulate the spells of other schools and take on that feature... and even if they pass the willsave its still 20% real. I know how i read it, as a DM i would let it happen (Afterall, Illusion users get the bunk end of the stick as is)... but i would love another ruling from others (im thinking of trying to make an illusion caster for skull & Shackles).

Thanks
