This alias at one time was an anti paladin of asmodeus /sorceror gestalt shooting to be an immortal lich to delay the delivery of his soul to the dark prince.

He was an Aasimar convicted of high treason. He was trying to overthrow the whole government


I submitted originally with a sorcerer a while back.

My plan now, my character would be a merman ranger (wave warden racial archetype) with a shark animal companion.

I can go guns or no guns. He will be ranged primarily with the ability to mix it up in melee somewhat.

If you check my discussion thread--I even have a running total of XP I post occasionally. You can see my combat map is a simple googledocs spreadsheet that maps the entire dungeon complex.

Anyway, feel free to do things how you like. I am just passing on what I have evolved to after two years of DMing PbP and I followed my mentor, DM Blood. He uses fancy maps with tokens, but I had Java problems with maptools.

I can see the dart getting a throw in. I just find readying an attack upon close with a higher damage melee weapon to be more useful with mindless creatures like undead or rats.
Gimlet is right behind, seeing Line getting magic protection, he adds to his shield with his wand. Putting his wand of protection away he switches to his axe as they enter.

Gimlet looks at Line's choice of weapon. "We will probably need to have weapons for close up work soon, but you might get a throw in. We do not want to extend the line if we can force them to hit a smaller area.

Gimlet continues to grab his holy symbol and concentrate further.
Trying to localize the auras of evil with further concentration. He will point to the evil at as soon as he finds it.

detect evil:
1st Round: Presence or absence of evil.

2nd Round: Number of evil auras (creatures, objects, or spells) in the area and the power of the most potent evil aura present.

If you are of good alignment, and the strongest evil aura's power is overwhelming (see below), and the HD or level of the aura's source is at least twice your character level, you are stunned for 1 round and the spell ends.

3rd Round: The power and location of each aura. If an aura is outside your line of sight, then you discern its direction but not its exact location.

Aura Power: An evil aura's power depends on the type of evil creature or object that you're detecting and its HD, caster level, or (in the case of a cleric) class level; see the table below. If an aura falls into more than one strength category, the spell indicates the stronger of the two.

Lingering Aura: An evil aura lingers after its original source dissipates (in the case of a spell) or is destroyed (in the case of a creature or magic item). If detect evil is cast and directed at such a location, the spell indicates an aura strength of dim (even weaker than a faint aura). How long the aura lingers at this dim level depends on its original power:

Animals, traps, poisons, and other potential perils are not evil, and as such this spell does not detect them. Creatures with actively evil intents count as evil creatures for the purpose of this spell.

Each round, you can turn to detect evil in a new area. The spell can penetrate barriers, but 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks it.

I missed that Andiel kept her healing undisclosed when we were discussing our capabilities.

As a do-gooder, Gimlet wants to expunge all the trouble spots there is starting with those closest to the town.

This is one of the tankiest parties I have seen. Gary Gygax would be proud. He usually advocated half fighter types (or full BAB types now) for his adventures. Our 3/4 bab types can bring it too!

"Inside, Klor and I can take point. That lets Unbeugsam see over me in the next row and Line see over Klor right behind us. We may want Andiel behind Klor to keep our healer protected in the middle. "Pirates like to kidnap people and hold them for ransom, especially if they are important. I originally suggested we investigate the closest area where the mappers were lost. Funny, living in Ft Walton Beach Florida we just had our Pirate Festival, a recreation of the Pirate Billy Bowlegs attacking and looting the town.

I use normal spreadsheets in googledocs as maptools caused me all sorts of problems with the latest java version. Whatever you decide I am sure will be fine.

As an experienced fighter, I thought pointing out a weakness in our party composition was done in character well. I do not think I even used the word wizard. Anyway, I think we can do without any arcane caster, though level 2 spells like web could make life a lot easier!!

Dm, I am curious if our standard action heals count as magical healing for the purposes of Gimlet's fey foundling feat. I can see it going either way and have no strong feelings about it.

I spent 750gp on a fully charged wand. If partially wands are available, I would buy two half charged wands of different types.

Gimlet looks at the mutton and potatoes and can't help but stack a few plates. He looks curiously at the map as he munches on potato and mutton. He nods to the father and smiles, but cannot stop to talk yet.

The small figure walked through town with ease in a suit of plate armor leading a small pony. At first the small figure looked comical dressed in a full suit of plate armor with an opened visored helm. That was until you got a closer look at him.

He had a carefree smile with a mane of light brown hair, but it was the eyes that made you realize this was no toy soldier. Piercing eyes and the assortment of weapons and shields slung on the back and in scabbards along with a bandolier of a half dozen light hammers completed the arsenal at his disposal.

Walking up to the sign, he glanced up to see another armored figure in a larger suit of full plate armor. Not seeing the visor open, he frowned at the figure that would not show his face. He pulled out a wooden amulet with a wreathed sword and concentrated on the figure before him for a moment. He seemed satisfied with something. He thought for a moment about saying something, but shrugged his shoulders and followed the figure into the Warlock's Lodge.

Are we gearing up with 3000gp? Plate mail is expensive but worth it! Barding can be too and I'll probably not want to do the cheesy four mirror chain trick but settle for chain barding at 800gp.

Plan is for a small aasimar paladin that was raised by the fey and sent to inspire and free hobbits everywhere!!

Character feats;
Level 1=fey foundling + level 3 = power attack

fey foundling:
You were found in the wilds as a child.

Prerequisites: You may only select this feat at 1st level.

Benefit: Whenever you receive magical healing, you heal an additional 2 points per die rolled. You gain a +2 bonus on all saving throws against death effects. Unfortunately, you also suffer +1 point of damage from cold iron weapons (although you can wield cold iron weapons without significant discomfort).

A small armored knight with high strength and charisma, Gimlet will be a capable party tank capable of sustained fighting with Lay on Hands augmented by fey foundling and plate armor. He will probably use two handed weapons as the shining knight archetype supports pursuing two handed lance use.

Traits will include Dangerously Curious so Gimlet can use wands and scrolls of an arcane nature (Shield!!) to further hold the line as he gains access to level 1 wands and scrolls.


I am also interested and would go for an angelkin aasimar paladin of Iomedae that is small sized and looks like a Halfling. Sent down to aid a network that frees slaves he has worked to help out the smaller folk from oppression.


Tirion mentioned you where recruiting.

Plan to modify this guy to be cleric instead of antipaladin, but plan to keep him as an aasimar that betrayed his family.

I guess it comes down to philosophy. As a fighter with no weapons or armor I could use, it seemed quite important to leave and get equipped. With an unarmed monk or sorcerer, I would have felt more comfortable.

We can always go back to the prison. If we want to see how far we can get a character and a level down, I'm fine with that too.

I can take a character death. If the AP recommends four... We could add a NPC or henchman--I figure a drow specialist necromancer or infernal sorcerer would fit with our evil theme.

Is there a reason they are higher level than we are? Typically the APs have you at the appropriate levels, at least the Paizo ones do.
