Falgard looks at the sheer rock wall dominating the sky

"Methinks we could climb it, if only it weren't so damned high..."

I have 50ft of rope and can form the Any-Tool into a grappling hook (allowing for a DC 5 climb up), but unless there are ledges to stand on every 50ft I'm not sure that plan will work. If that's not an option, then I'm fine going around

Don't waste Fervor healing me. Buffing yourself as a swift action is way more important than healing 1d6 health. Only use Fervor to heal when it's the end of the day or you're out of spells (or it's an emergency).

Also wait we have a wand of CLW?! And to think I was afraid of dying

Falgard starts walking, but grimaces as his scorched armor rubs against his burned skin.

"That being said, a rest would be wise once we're clear o' the area. Let's move"

Falgard grunts in pain as he slowly brings himself to his feet. He's past the worst of it, but it's clear that he's in no condition to keep marching. Not yet, anyways.

"'tis been too long since I've been on the field of battle" he says, looking at his wounds and burns. "I've gotten sloppy in my age"

He claps his hand on Quingrin's shoulder. "But I ain't done yet. If Irori deems me worthy of a second chance, who am I to refuse? Endure and Renew."

I'll see ye again soon enough, Morivak. But not today.

In case I don't get healed:

Stabilization:
Stabilize (-3): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
Stabilize (-4): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Stabilize (-5): 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14

So if I don't get magical healing or a DC 15 heal check, I'll manage to stabilize at -5 hp after 3 rounds

Oh, sure, I didn't think it was CR 2, but I'd nonetheless assumed it was a reasonable encounter. I suppose I know better now.

Also, Falgard doesn't know the meaning of "run", so either he gets healed or he dies swinging. Thus is his way.

Stupid combat maneuvers, needing 3 feats just to knock someone down grumble grumble...

Reeling back from the creature's surprising bite, Falgard takes on an air of utmost seriousness.

"Alright, then, enough of the fancy stuff. Time to die."

There is no skip in Falgard's step as he moves past the creature and kicks again. He appears to be fully focused now, doing these maneuvers as if by rote.

Falgard lets out a roar as he charges past the creature, letting his momentum carry his hammer straight into its gut.

Okay, yeah, I can't attack while moving, but it's cooler to imagine that it happened that way than that I ran past him, then turned around and swung at him. Nat 20's get to be cool :P

Falgard pushes his way past Riuk into the clearing ahead and shouts out

"All right, ye invisible faerie bastards! We know yer tricks. Show yeselves already so we can give ye a taste o' the ol' cold iron!"

He spits on the ground and mutters an old Orc curse as he steels himself for the fight ahead.

Well, Falgard's the eldest, though he certainly isn't charismatic. 'Course, as a bunch of Dwarven Monks, none of us really are. :P
In any case, I don't think it would be entirely unreasonable for us to assume Falgard's in command to some capacity. He's a trainer for the Nalbrin and the eldest son of a deceased military commander, so there is some modicum of precedence. Just be sure to leave the talky parts up to someone else.

That being said, if someone has a better reason to be in command, by all means go for it. I'm not dead-set on leadership, but I'm up for the possibility.

Nevertheless, Falgard is adamant on not investigating (though as a player I do want to get to some more combat. This cold iron longsword is burning a dead-fey-shaped hole in my pocket!)

Falgard rolls his eyes at Morg's melodramatic soliloquy.

"If it be a kid, 'e be a fool fer travelin' into fey-infested woods. Let 'im learn from 'is mistakes, or else die tryin'," Falgard says grimly.

"But ye know the fey. Ain't no chance that's a real kid. It's naught but a trick to lead ye off the road where the damn things can gut ye like sheep."

At this, Falgard turns directly to Morg and says

"Point is, whelp, we ain't a band 'o do-good sellswords tryin' to protect the roads. We ain't a search-and-rescue team, and we certainly ain't babysitters..."

'least, not before you came along, we weren't

"...we're Nalbrin. And we've been ordered by High King Dolim himself to deliver this shipment. And I'll be damned if I let some wee fey keep me from my duty."

Turning his eyes back to the road, Falgard says sharply:

"We keep marching."

Breifly pausing from setting up camp, Falgard looks around at the assembled Nalbrin.

"Right then. I'll take the first watch, I suppose..."

He begins to motion to each dwarf in order

"Trask, ye'll be next, followed by Ulfgar, and after that, Riuk. Mattock, ye'll be with the whelp. Make sure he doesn't get into any trouble" he says, ending the last sentence with an air of disdain.

"Any objections?"

Falgard nods approvingly at Ulfgar before turning to Morg and whacking him upside the head.

"Ye call yeself a member of the Nalbrin?! Ye're lucky ye have Ulfgar here to save yer scrawny excuse fer a body. And missin' a sleepin' target! Ye couldn't hit a giant's thigh if it were an inch in front of yer face! If yer gonna be shootin' a crossbow, ye'd damn well learn to use the thing first! I pray the day never comes when I need rely on ye to save me life, fer that be the day I die!" Falgard screams in the young dwarf's face.

Pausing for a moment to compose himself, Falgard puts away his bow and takes a deep breath.

"If'n ye want to continue with us, ye'd best get a proper head on yer shoulders, whelp. We may not always be able to save ye, nor should we need to."

He gives Morg a final whack for good measure, before turning to the rest of the dwarves.

"Right then, let's continue on."

Right then. So much for giving the whelp a chance.

Now that the cave fisher seems to have noticed them, Falgard steps to the front of the group and prepares to strike when it draws near.

"Stick together, men. Riuk, draw that thing down here. Maybe ye can actually hit the thing" he says, sending a quick glare at Morg.

Without a map, it's difficult to gauge where I go, but I use my move to step to a convenient location and continue to ready an action to attack the fisher. If it's far enough away, I'll instead use my turn to get close enough to attack next round.

Though he is thoroughly annoyed at the interruption, Falgard stops in his tracks. Letting out a low sigh, he grabs hold of his hammer and assumes a defensive stance.

Alright, whelp. Let's see if ye can do anything other than make a fool of yeself. I won't be holdin' my breath, 'f course.

Ready action to attack the crab if it draws near. He'll hold back and give Morg a chance, but if the situation gets hairy he won't hesitate to interfere.

Falgard stands at attention, awaiting his orders. After a moment, he spies Mattock slouching beside him and commands him "Stand up straight, you shale-spined drunk. You're a member of the Nalbrin, and damn it you'll act like one."

Totally excited to get in! Again, I'm experienced with Pathfinder, but have never done PbP before, so try to bear with me as I learn the format.

Mattock, my character will totally keep after you, but don't expect any loving sympathy or gentleness from him.
