cricket...
criiicket...

[Insert cricket noise here]

I'm ready to keep marching. Heck, thanks to that wand, I'm ready for even more totally-not-OP devils.

Riuk, you ought to put some Enlgish subtitles in a spoiler or something. I like the accent and all, but dang it's thick :P

Eh, I think we can probably make it to level 3 by July...

...2017 :P

So I ran some numbers because I was curious:

We've done 104 damage total to this thing (not counting currently-unresolved turns)
59 points of that damage was lost to DR
Meaning we've done 45 damage to this thing and it's still there

The crap is this thing?

Also, if you were wondering who's done the most damage:

Damage totals:
(Before DR / After DR)

Falgard: 31 / 16
Morg: 33 / 13
Mattock: 13 / 8
Quingrin: 16 / 6
Riuk: 11 / 2

Hey guys! Sorry for my absence recently. I was lurking for a while there, since I didn't feel like Falgard needed to pipe up, but after a while I got super busy with RL stuff and college and whatnot, and eventually I just kind of forgot to keep checking in on the game. But I'm still here!

I'll try to keep up with the posts better, but if I drop out again, feel free to bot me until my inevitable return :P

I've messaged my friend to apply again, as he wanted to play but was too busy at the time to make a character. If he doesn't apply, I suppose we'll just solider monk on with one fewer member.

Sad to see you go, Trask! Best of luck in the future.

If you like, I also have a friend who'd be interested in joining. Would you like me to have him send you a PM?

I didn't realize that Morg bought a Traveler's Any-Tool. GM, would it be alright for me to exchange my Any-Tool for other gear?

Falgard's ready to go. He only has 9.35gp left though, so he's not really able to contribute much. And he can't carry much more. With the 6lbs of metal, he's at 75.5 out of 76lbs.

Now then, let's do some campaigning!

GM, if you PM me a slightly clearer image of the map, I'd be happy to snazz it up for you.

Sorry to hear about your finger, Nate. Haven't even started combat yet and you're already getting injured :P
Hope it heals well, man. Get better soon so you can swing your axe at the enemies instead.

So what all is left to do before we're ready to get this started?

Personally I think it's reasonable to allow Sacred Fist warpriests to still be proficient in their deity's chosen weapon, what with the intense devotion to both their god and their martial prowess and all.

No, I go with RAW (but I also don't make a habit of having enemies come in from a diagonal).

Understandable. But if you rule that, I think it ought to also be ruled that if an enemy approaches me from my 15ft diagonal, or leaves my 5ft diagonal into my 15ft diagonal, they provoke while moving through that 10ft area in between. In other words, I essentially threaten the space between the two diagonals, but not the diagonals themselves, and if they move through that they provoke (which makes sense). But if they are standing in the 15ft diagonal and move away from me, they don't (again, makes sense).

Technically, Trask can cover Knowledge (religion) via bardic knowledge.

Right you are, I forgot about Bardic Knowledge. That means Engineering and Religion are technically covered.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
Between us we have the following languages covered:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

Languages:
Common, Dwarven, Giant, Gnome, Undercommon, Draconic, Sylvan, and Orc.
(though, by RAW, we should only be able to have Common, Dwarven, Giant, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, Terran, and Undercommon. So no Draconic or Sylvan, unless of course the DM allows it)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
Here are the skills for everyone; If I'm wrong please correct me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

Falgard Dalvik:
Acrobatics, Climb, Perception, Sense Motive, Stealth

Forso Understone:
Bluff, Craft (Alchemy), Diplomacy, Disable Device, Intimidate, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Dungeoneering), Knowledge (Local), Knowledge (Nature), Knowledge (Nobility), Knowledge (Planes), Perception, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Stealth

Mattock of Torhold:
Acrobatics, Appraise, Climb, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Geography), Knowledge (Nature), Perception, Ride, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Stealth, Swim

Riuk Blood:
Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge (Dungeoneering), Knowledge (Nature), Sense Motive, Stealth, Survival

Trask Morgoth:
Acrobatics, Bluff, Climb, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge (History), Knowledge (Local), Perception, Perform (percussion), Spellcraft

Ulfgar Helmhammer:
Acrobatics, Sense Motive

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
And the skills nobody has ranks in are:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

Skills:
Disguise, Escape Artist, Fly, Handle Animal, Heal, Knowledge (Engineering), Knowledge (Religion), Linguistics, Sleight of Hand, Use Magic Device.

Of those, I think Knowledge (Religion) and Use Magic Device are most important for somebody to pick up.

SirSafeway (Falgard Dalvik) reporting in.

Just so you're aware, I've changed Falgard slightly. He's now a Two-Handed Fighter instead of a normal one, and he took Monkey Style instead of Snake Style. These changes have been reflected in his ailias.

Also, do you rule that reach characters threaten the corners of their reach? By RAW you can't, since the square is technically 15ft away, but I've seen many GMs allow it. Just wondering so I know what I can and can't do.

Your HP should be 23, since you only get one favored class benefit. Your CMD should be 20; you get your WIS bonus. The formatting is pretty good, although it would help to list where you put your skill ranks, instead of just listing the total modifiers. I can't tell if you forgot two skill ranks or the +2 to Sense Motive from Snake Style. Other than that, I think everything is in order.

Right you are. It's been a while since I've made a monk. And I forgot to give the +2 from Snake Style (I was debating which style to take, and forgot to add that in once I chose Snake). I've also put the number of ranks I have in my skills in parenthesis next to them. Everything should be in order now!

I follow the Roosevelt methodology of diplomacy. Speak softly and stab the other guy before he stabs you. Or something like that.

But really, it's a campaign full of Dwarven monks. We ain't winning any beauty pageants here.

Hey, this campaign sounds interesting!

I'd be interested in playing Falgard Dalvik. I'm experienced with Pathfinder and tabletop gaming in general, but I've never tried play by post before, so if I make a few mistakes in formatting, try to bear with me.

If you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask.

I look forward to trying out this character and gameplay format!
