Talon Stormwarden wrote: The description for area B1 doesn't match the map at all. Judging by the description, area B1 should be an area to the north of B2 and is not drawn on the map. The area of the map labelled B1 appears to be absent entirely from the overall description of the abandoned temple. For example, the description for area B2 does not describe the double doors to the south into the area labelled as B1, only the south door to B4.
I didn't give my players a map until B2 because of this. I used the maps for combat and largely did theater of the mind the rest of the time.
Also I'd love to hear from others about whether Omertius leaves a bloody body behind while possessing someone. The possession trait suggests yes and the Invidiak stat block clearly states that it doesn't, so if Omertius doesn't leave a body behind it would say so, right?
I have 28 characters and I am greatly looking forward to sinking my teach into conversion! Wooohooo!
These look awesome and have to say I agree that many of my players found Pathinfder training to be cumbersome and a pain more than they were happy to use it.
Also, he had the Primordial flame and lost it.
These stats don't mention him being clumsy 4, enfeebled 4, stupefied 4, and fatigued, but he ought to be, right?
sooooo.
About to head into this fight with Metuak.
He has all this "hidden in dim light" stuff, but that primordial flame sheds bright light in a 100ft radius which covers the whole place. Arguments can be made for those columns blocking it to dim light and making that primordial flame person skirting columns a bit...
Just thought i'd warn y'all about that Dimlight vs primordial flame bit.
Maybe I'm missing something...I usually am!

Hi All!
GM Eyeball Tsunami stepping in while Tyranius is sick. He has put out the Call and I have answered.
I must admit I'm not terribly familiar with the Paizo Forums like I am with Discord, so Ill apologize now for a lack of formatting!
I've caught up with where you are in this lovely adventure, briefly gotten to know your characters and am excited to take over narration for a short time.
I'll be catching up with the action shortly!
Also Miladistra is correct, you all get your choice of preparation rewards, not just the person who rolled successfully.

Silencer21 wrote: The 3-6 special on FtP is almost full already.
Is there any way to add another 3-6 discord table?
I suspect 3-6 will be a popular tier and some people don't play on forums. We'll be monitoring wait list signups and will look to try and add additional tables according to demand and available GMs. Backup GMs, you may be asked to pick up a table if there's enough demand so please be on standby for that :) Backup GM, on standby! (If you give me a full table to run on Discord I'll run it in Cayden's Keg please! All those sticky spots on the floor just feel like home for me.
Quite some time, good to see you Tiger!

Hi Friends!
I'm happy to play back up for you all!
I've run the scenario multiple times PbD and played in it as well. Happy to answer any questions. It is also one of my favorites. I love some good lore!
I have a slide deck for what looks like the 3-4 tier with enemies.
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1MDEniaj14NZzFes3xt4_G_oboOwCzKWg2uO n6O4nLT0/edit?usp=sharing
I'm most active on the Keg and you can ping me there if you like if you know there are times you will need coverage.
Ivan, My Russian is terrible but I did study for two years back in 20111-2013. I can try if needed!
Best,
Eyeball

Am I missing something?
Hows does a group of 4 level six characters not die to the advanced Hound of Tindalos?

I can tell you my group just needs to decide what to do with the statues and we will be completing our final area. and that is happening both in the table I'm GMing and the table I'm playing in and I suspect those will both get wrapped up in the next 24 hours.
My players completed the Labyrinth, just finished the underwater combat. The rest of this area might go quicker although I expect an Aspis Incursion to spice up the next Hazard area!
GM Blake wrote: OK. This is odd.
Monster grabs PC.
PC then grapples Monster back.
Monster can Swallow PC. Does the PC grappling the Monster affect how Swallow Whole works?
Looking at Swallow Whole and Grabbed it looks like...yep you can still be swallowed whole! You still meet all of the requirements for being swallowed.

GM Kwinten wrote: In area C3, players can vote whether the statues remain as they are, change functions, or do both. Is there a reason why players wouldn't want to tie the vote? That seems like the best of both worlds. Okay, it might be tricky to manage a tie, but there's literally no downsides to it (apart from maybe overshooting and accidentally giving one side the winning vote). When I ran it at Gencon I did not explicitly say that they could orchestrate a tie and only RPed the statues and what the statues "wanted" No one came up with the idea that the statues do both.
Mechanically, or flavorfully I think we as GMs could read that doing both is ideal but it doesn't always occur to players, and really, if anything, their decisions are determining future outcomes of the living campaign. Any option is fine, in the end nothing is really any better than the other, only as long as they pick something and then that is relayed in a scenario later on and players feel they have agency for change int he world, which is cool, no matter what result they choose here.
My two cents.
Is the Unsealed Way really already completed?!
GM Kwinten wrote: I may have done an oopsie boingo. My party has just arrived at the Unsealed Way and crossed the first hazard. The map on page 19 suggests it is one of two elevators up, but in the slide deck, C4a isn't visible. Should I have ignored that? I see other parts are missing as well, so I'd just like to know if I should stick to the scenario, or to the slide deck. there are two elevators up and two tunnles down. These lead to the areas in act 2. Finding them is good but they cannot utilize them as "it goes too far and they are supposed to report back any new areas they find"
I think I'm going to go with +15 (Same as Ashen Swale -2 for the difference in Charisma Modifier.
So I'm getting to the final combats and Idovik has a special ability to use Intimidate to Demoralize all foes within 30 feet...but he doesn't appear trained or have any modifiers for intimidation...

Since my players were in the last encounter when we started getting all of these success conditions, can anyone tell me if the bonuses from these conditions carry over to part two? Or are all those success conditions null and void when part two starts?

Will probably drop a PC on this one but they and the party should survive.
I don't know if this is helpful but in the Mushroom Ring stat block it says "Disabling the mushroom ring also causes
any creatures that have emerged to disappear."

Here is a question for y'all.
Yeth beasts attack any PCs before heading to the village.
Yeth Beasts refuse to enter any bright light put out by violet dolok trees.
Yeth Beasts don't have a ranged attack.
I'm seeing an issue where all my players are within the light of the violet dolok trees, the Yeth beasts refuse to go into the light, but there are valid targets on the field...
do they give up and head for the village?
Thoughts?

From what I read we should try to hand out an aid token at the beginning of each part, is that right?
Dennis, Since I have people mustering can I see about boosting aid tokens or should I hold off until 9/6?

Love you Paizo team! Keep watching the trends and making the best decisions that you can.
No complaints here but I will echo many in wanting more repeatable content. I think I've worn holes in all of the repeatable scenarios that are out right now and could easily run some of the other scenarios again with the same group and a very different experience/outcome. They don't need to be as variable as 1-01 to be repeatable.
I'm also just unsure of why everything isn't repeatable as the only thing that is doing is limiting the amount of times content is played...and I'm not really sure what the market reason is for doing that.
Still love all the content you are putting out, happy to see you try new things that draw interest and keep the creators engaged!

His 'open road' vest is adorable!
I hope I have sneak attack because it hasn't gone yet but if sneaking through the forest wasn't an option than ignore that second d6.
I wants to move to flank but...that is a lot of centipedes!
Anyone have a take on whether or not there is time for treat wounds checks between encounters here?
It sounds like any time between combats is spent walking to the new location, but I can't imagine players are going to be too excited about not being allowed to perform Treat Wounds checks...

My group just hit the will o wisps. Pretty interesting. I rolled perceptions ahead of time to see who would spot the quicksand and set up the init.
Two of them just hit the number to spot it, the other two did not. they found the map that mentioned St. Alkitarem's eye and the invis potion and assumed something would be watching and they needed to be invisible. Sorcerer casts invis, monk drinks the potion. (Guess which two didn't suceed at noticing the QS?
Both go in the drink and the wisps move in to attack.
Taht's when I found the "Retreat at 40hp" even though they start at 30hp. I also noticed that they are visible when bright light is shined at them...and my group is definitely exploring these islands in the daytime...soo weak template, and they can't go invis? I think the party will be ok. Although the two at the bottom of the init fell waist deep and then went to neck deep before they even got a turn.
Two of my players here are also playing in my Slithering run so I suspect they will be able to handle the pudding when that comes. Assuming they don't try to tackle it right after this wisp fight...
