Concerned that it's a terrible idea, but more concerned about the party getting stuck at the doorway, Elian slips into the room right past the closer creature. "Come on, if you speak a language we're not here to fight."

They weren't there to fight if they were animals either, but it seemed less likely to matter.

Oh, somehow I missed the robots in the description, and was politely ignoring them on the map.

"They said they were attacked by something, but nothing has attacked us. Thought it might be those robots, but they're still. Something else in here, then?"

Elian draws his weapons (his new pistol and his baton) and moves a little closer. He doesn't want to intentionally provoke them until the others are ready.

Legendary heroes. Let's make sure to get some pictures here--without being able to get the ship closer, there's no way we're saving the statues themselves."
