Pulling out the Paginarum Lethargica, Eldrin spends a few moments reviewing the details of the ritual and then turns to the group and begins explaining what they will need to do. Once he is satisfied he dons the mask holds the key in one hand and begins the ritual.

Once the circle of grave dirt is established and the proper materials placed at the required positions around the circle Eldrin gestures for everyone to take their places. Beginning to speak the words of the ritual he points to each of the party members in turn to start their own incantations.

The air in the room vibrates with gathering energy as everyone chants the arcane phrases and formulae. The dingy room begins to grow brighter and the apressive feeling begins to reseed.

The needed power gathered, Eldrin gestures again signalling that it is time to start focusing the energy in the needed form. Changing to a new chant and adds the final few materials, Eldrin raises the key over his head.

A patch of air inside the circle begins to shimmer and warp. Tendrils of dream scape reaching out as if to try and close the portal forming at the centre of the ritual.

The weary pathfinders continue chanting despite their fatigue as the whole world begins to shake.

Calling out the final words of the magic, Eldrin thrusts the silver key toward the portal causing the tear to open. "Quick, send the dream stone through, I don't know how long we can hold the portal open."

With a gesture Eldrin sends the ball of flame rolling after Nahum. Reaching for one of the wands at his belt he draws it and aims it toward Nahum.

Snapping his spell book closed, Eldrin moves past Grunyak to join the rest of the group. He begins another incantation and gestures toward Nahum, conjuring a globe of fire at the enemies feet.

Eldrin moves to take cover behind the wall. Closing his eyes he concentrates for a few moments until his skin glows briefly with a pale light.

Moving 20 feet and using Consume Spell to convert a level four spell slot into four Arcane Reservoir points.

Eldrin calls out from the other room They are Babau demons, striking them with your wepons may be dangerous. They are immune to electricity and poison..". He then wearily begins chanting another spell.

"Taariik, the tiger is an illusion!", Eldrin slashes at the air with his hand and steps through the rift that forms behind his hand. He steps through and appears a few feet from Nahum. He waits for the barrier surounding Nahum to fall and raising his hand sends another stream of missiles at him.

Spending an Arcane Reservoir point to use Dimensional Slide to move into the other room. He will then ready for the barrier to fall and casting Magic Missile at Nahum. Expending another Arcane Reservoir Point to raise the caster elvel to 10th.

Eldrin raises his hand toward the shadow demon but before he can begin his spell Taariik cuts it down. Switching back to Nahum, Eldrin recites a familiar incantation and sends a stream of magical bolts of energy at the man.

Before the door is opened Eldrin pulls out his spell book and begins casting a spell, he reaches out and touches Drusilla on the shoulder and with a determined look nods to the group that he is ready.

Moving into the room and taking in the scene Eldrin focuses on Nahum launching immediately into a spell.

Casting Bull's Strength on Drusilla before we enter the room. Once the dorr is open Eldrin moves up and castes Disspell Magic on Nahum, using an Arcane Reservoir point to raise the caster level to 10th. Attempting to remove a spell in place.

Checking the store room Eldrin performs a quick divination and says "There is a strong evocation aura and a slightly weaker abjuration aura in the desk, I can't tell much more without looking."

After looking into the library Eldrin says "There is an invisible demon flying around in that library, I think it is a quasit."

Eldrin is starting to look quite tired, he'd not admit it but unless we plan to rest we should hasten to confront the leader of this cult.

Ah, sorry.

Eldrin will stay were he is and change Burning Hands to Magic Missile. It's the same number of d4s so I could keep the existing roll. He'll target the top most creature.

Eldrin moves up next to Drucilla and begins speaking an incantation. At its culmination he pushes his hands forward and fans his fingers sending a cone of flame to envelop the flying creatures.

Moving 25 ft, Casting defensively, using an Arcane Reservoir point to raise the DC by 2 and casting Burning Hands from the bottom right corner of his square aimed up and right.

Eldrin waits quietly watching the Night Hag carefully for an opening. As soon as the creature is distracted and drops Madame Carrington; Eldrin moves forward reaches out to slash at the air and stepping through the ripple left behind his gesture.

Appearing next to Madame Carrington, Eldrin takes hold of them and begins chanting a series of magical words and gesturing between himself and Madame Carringgton. With a crack Eldrin and Madame Carrington disappear.

A moment later Eldrin calls out from the temple room "You'll need enchanted cold iron to hurt it! Avoid cold and fire spells as they wont work."

Eldrin moves 25 feet to the base of the stairs, expends an Arcane Reservoir point and another 5 feet of movement to Dimensional Slide next to Madame Carrington and casts Dimension Door to teleport himself and Madame Carrington back to the temple room.

Eldrin finishes studying his spell book and steps up next to Drusilla. He chants the words to the hastily studied spell and touches Drusilla on the shoulder.

Five foot step and cast Fly on Drucilla.

Finishing his missile spell Eldrin immediately begins another, the slightest sheen of sweat appearing on his brow.

Completing his hasty reading Eldrin looks up and seeing the heavily injured demon he steps forward and raises his hand. Speaking a familiar incantation he sends a stream of force bolts toward the demons.

The stream of magical darts splits and two head toward the heavily injured demon and the other three arc toward the other.

Force Damage (Deamon 1): 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1) + 2 = 4
Force Damage (Deamon 2): 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1, 1) + 3 = 6

Opening the spell book once more, Eldrin returns to his hasty studying.

Noticing one of the invisible creatures casting a spell Eldrin looks up from his spell book and immediately begins chanting an unusually discordant incantation. The words echoing strangely in the old temple.

Immediate action, attempting to Countersspell the creature casting the summoning spell. Expending one Arcane Reservoir point and a Dispell Magic.

Counterspell (DC: ?): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Unfortunately his reactions were not fast enough and the gathered energy is unable to disrupt the summoning magic.

Snapping his book closed Eldrin launches into another spell.

Glitterdust DC: 20

Casting Glitterdust and expending one Arcane Reservoir point to raise the DC by two. Should be able to catch the remaining two invisible creatures and one of the visible ones.

Putting his wand away, Eldrin pulls out his spell book and starts swiftly turning pages. Once he finds what he is looking for he begins studying it intently.

Eldrin will spend an Arcane Reservoir point to use Quick Study to swap Bull's Strength for See Invisibility once the group enters the desecrated temple.

Eldrin moves up behind Grunyak and Huxwwren; draws his wand and points it at the horrible thing sending a single bolt of force at it.

Move ten feet, draw Wand of Magic Missile and activate it.

Eldrin carefully steps back away from the creature and past Grunyak. He pull sout one of his wands and raises it in preparation for activating it.

Eldrin withdraws away from the creature, I believe this prevents the attack of opportunity from leaving his current square and Drusilla provide cover for the second square should the smoke creature have reach.

He then draws his wand of magic missile. I'm trying to be careful how many spells Eldrin uses as there is a lot of house to cover and resting is going to be difficult.

Some what surprised that the fighter was able to over come his magical hold Eldrin takes a few more steps away. Turning his attention to Grunyak, Eldrin prepares the same magic ready to hold his dwarven friend if he becomes violent.

As soon as the portrait returns to normal Eldrin starts chanting the incantation for a familiar spell. As soon as the instruments start to move he raises a hand and sends a barrage of arcane bolts at them.

Casting Magic Missile and spending an Arcane Reservoir point to raise the caster level to 10th.

Eldrin moves up behind Drusilla and conjures a small orb of green tinged liquid that he then hurls at the golem.

Stepping back away from the monstrous tree, Eldrin pulls out a wand and aims it at the creature.

Replying to Grunyak, Eldrin says "Yes, sonic damage should work fine."

Eldrin then steps up behind Drusilla and begins chanting an incantation. After a couple of moments he reaches out and lightly touches Drusilla on the shoulder releasing the gathered magical energy to strengthen the fighters arms.

Moving 15 ft and casting Bull's Strength on Drusilla. This will only grant a +2 bonus because of Drusilla's Belt of Giant's Strength.

Eldrin quietly calls out to Drusilla "Drusilla, Stop. Carefully take a few steps back. That tree over there is potentially dangerous and you are within its range."

Assuming Drusilla is able to move out of the range of the tree.

Once everyone is safely out of immediate danger Eldrin shares what he knows about the plant life. "There are two vines that will try to strangle anything they can get at and that tree has a huge range. All of them have some resistance to fire and cold and electricity wont hurt them at all. The tree, is called a Quickwood and it can turn magic cast on it into an area of pure dread."

Pulling out his spell book, Eldrin flicks through the pages. "I don't have many spells that will be efficacious, but I can potentially enhance your strength Drusilla and maybe yours too Taariik."

Leaning against a wall for a few minutes Eldrin tries to catch his breath. Clearly exhausted from the effort of casting the ritual. He gladly accepts Grunyak's healing and stands straighter as the magic takes effect. "Yes, Madam Carrington; maybe we should try her shop first. Then we can proceed to the house on Hook street."

Most interesting thing for Eldrin at level eight is the ability increase. He now has 22 intelligence (+6) so a bunch of extra skill points and a language. Eldrin also gets access to level 4 spells.
