Drusilla flees past Grunyak, her mind briefly broken by the terrifying visions, wheras Huxwren simply decides not to be scared, with the aid of a little psychic magic.
After dispatching the shadow demon Taariik brings his blade through the shadow-projection of Nahum, but it passes right through it without having any effect.
Although everyone failed their knowledge arcana rolls to identify this, you will notice that the only actions it has taken are attack of opportunity, and it hasn't moved
Eldrin launches a barrage of missiles at Nahum as he floats menacingly; ignoring his images and protective wards and slamming directly into him.
In response Nahum grasps the antique holy symbol tucked into his robes and conjures a shimmering protective bubble around himself, though it also appears that his wounds are healing.
You might deduce that he has similar nightmare abilities to the cultists that you've faced, including regeneration stopped by good or silver damage and a flight
He then touches a brass ring on a mummified finger hanging from his belt and suddenly another creature coalesces from the smoke, some sort of enormous long-toothed tiger. It appears between Eldrin and Taariik and immediately tears into Taariik. Using that as a distraction, Nahum descends and ducks into the room with the dreamstone and floats over to the opposite side.

Botting Drusilla
Grunyak runs almost to the top of the stairs, his will bolstered and waits for Dru to catch up so he can give her and Taariik a blessing. She duly runs past him and into the room, and as she moves Taariik gives them a Blessing of Fervor
Grunyak, Huxwren, Drusilla and Taariik have the blessing. It requires a choice at the start of your turns, remember to make that. Taariik you'd get it on your turn there, which would you have chosen? You'd have been able to reach Nahum for a melee attack with the extra speed (adjusted I think your speed is 40 in armor with that boost), or you could have gone with a +2 to hit and had it adjust your roll? It looks like you moved 25 feet and I think your speed is 20 so I moved you back one space; Eldrin is giving Nahum cover from that space. Either way I'm sure you'd have moved so...
When Taariik moves away from the projected Nahum, it takes an Attack of Opportunity.
Sickle AoO 2: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30

Sickle AoO 3: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19
However it is too slow and she runs on by.
I'll wait to see Taariik's clarification before taking Nahum's turn
Taariik’
|
Thanks GM! I would then take the extra speed to reach Nahum! To hit would then be 1 less and damage 9 higher with a standard melee attack.
| GM Pudding |
Taariik swings at Nahum, but one of his images is destroyed.
21 is a miss but within 5 so it takes an image
When the image vanishes, an jolt of electricity runs down the blade of Taariiks sword shocking him!
Electricy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
5 damage to Taariik It would be clear from watching this that melee strikes (even those with reach) that pop an image will cause the attacker to take damage, but it wouldn't apply to ranged
The instant that Nahum's mental shield drops Eldrin fires a barrage of missiles into him causing him to grunt with frustration, though some of his damage does heal.
"I'll deal with you in a second Eldrin Inarie, I know your nightmares"
He turns to the more pressing threat and points the thigh-bone he has right at Taariik's chest, magical motes and runes appearing in the air around him as he concentrates.
This provokes from you twice Taariik, but I guess you can only take one. I'll let you decide if you want to take it given that you've seen that hitting an image can cause damage and you're already quite injured. (and he's casting a spell at you likely to injure you further). I'll assume that either Taariik doesn't take the AoO or that he misses / hits an image and the attack goes off
ranged touch: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Cold damage: 6d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6, 5, 4) + 2 = 34

Out if curiosity, does it look like the fellow is casting spells using psychic magic?
Huxwren darts forward with incredible speed thanks to Grunyak’s magic. As she slides up to the bone-wielding man, she barely seems to register Taariik’s prone form beside her. “Poor, poor Nahum. Betrayed by your colleagues, abandoned in a make-believe world - though that last part is rather fitting, given your hopeless delusions of grandeur, isn’t it?” She throws her head back and laughs harshly. “Now then, shall I start by carving my initials into your hand or your gut? It appears you need reminding of who I am - and why it’s a bad idea to ignore me.”

He is not immune to fear, and is now shaken for 4 rounds. He's an occultist, and has so far used only his spell-like abilities, which I think he's ok to continue using while under an emotion effect. Grunyak moves into the room. He surveys the situation and having just the spell casts stablize on Taariik. He moves around the shadow to the South getting just into the rock room.
Is the shadow Nahum still active? Or can we ignore it and move about normally? Grunyak will use the +30 feet of movement.
| GM Pudding |
@Grunyak: Shadow Nahum will still take attacks of opportunities if you move through his threatened areas. If you wanted to avoid them completely you have to go north around it in which case you'd end 1 square to the west, or you can go directly and eat an AoO, it's up to you. I'm going to assume you take the AoO for now because it means Huxwren and Drusilla are in the circle of protection and that will save them from being eaten. That does remind me that I forgot Huxwren's!
When Huxwren moved Shadow Nahum took a swing at her.

7 damage to Drusilla!
Huxwren then intimidates the poor occultist and Eldrin keeps up his relentless assault, completely bypassing Nahum's illusory defences. Grunyak warms Taariik's blood slightly stopping him from dying of hypothermia, though another blast like before will surely finish him off.
Looking slightly panicked despite the fact that his wounds are healing slowly, Nahum turns to open the door onto the balcony, revealing the hellscape of destruction that is Korvosa ravaged by some sort of apocalyptic event. He steps onto the balcony, then grasps the plague mask hanging from his belt and rubs it with his thumb.
This provokes from Huxwren. If you wish to take it, open the spoiler to see what you've won...

Grunyak waits to see what Dru does.
Presumably Grunyak knows how his spell works. Would he know that Dru can move and act without fear of the demons? I as a player don't know for sure but that is how I interpret the spell vs summoned evil outsiders. If he thinks Dru can grab and drag Taariik back, he will continue to hold. quick retcon, I forgot the blinded demon's save at the end of its turn
Will vs. DC 19: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
never mind!
Eldrin transfers magical energies while Taariik grabs his sword and sends it flying at the nearest demon. It strikes true, though much of the damage is resisted.
Huxwren slashes at one demon, slaying it in a single brutal strike yellow before striking the one that Taaiik just injured blue finishing it off as well. Two more rapid slashes cut into the remaining blinded demon, but its resistant hide keeps it alive as Huxwren steps away.
Drusilla is too eager for a fight to close the doors, and instead receives a holy blessing from Grunyak before running at Nahum to attack!
Even though blessing of fervor gives another attack, it's much like haste in that you need to take the full attack action to get it (i.e no movement other than a 5-foot step). You'd probably want the +2 to ac, attack and saves this round? I'll assume so for now
Drusilla's swing is close to hitting Nahum, but it instead hits one of his images which discharges in a blast of electricity, running up her morningstar and discharging into the brave warrior.
Electricy: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
4 damage to Drusilla!
Nahum smiles as he watches his wounds heal, takes a step away from Drusilla, and once again points the thigh-bone he carries toward the group.
"The Dreamstone is beyond you. It will change the world!"
An eruption of ice-cold energy explodes from where he's pointing just in front of the doors, engulfing all the pathfinders.
Cold Damage, intense focus: 8d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 5, 2, 3, 5, 6) + 2 = 38
DC 21 reflex for half, Eldrin can have a +2 for cover from the wall. I think this will kill Taariik and Eldrin if they fail. I don't think you picked a blessing this round Taariik so you probably want the one that gives +2 to reflex saves, and remember to use your re-roll if you still have it. If you do fail, remember that we're playing campaign mode so that it won't affect your PFS character and you'll still get full credit (and I'm sorry!). Also take heart; Nahum's out of evocation focus points now :)
Red will save DC 19: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
The remaining demon continues to whine piteously and claw at its eyes.

Step up feat, might change a few things (or not!)
Narhum has the nasty surprise to see the blonde warrioress following him
Surprise surprise, I learnt my lesson..
She tries to hit him as he casts his spell Concentration to cast defensively perhaps?
PA, BoF: 1d20 + 15 - 3 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 15 - 3 + 2 = 25
PA dmg, sceance: 1d8 + 7 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 6 + 2 = 19

Reflex save if needed, BoF: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 = 11

Oh I forgot about step-up. He'll trust in his images to protect him and forgo casting defensively...
Image 1=hit: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Electricity: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3
Drusilla tries a desperate strike to save her friends, but hits another image, getting the same electric shock as before.
3 damage to Drusilla. He's down to 4 images now, but Dru is at -75, or 17 HP

Reflex, Heroism dc DC 21: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 11 + 2 = 20
Huxwren is too busy staring slack-jawed at Drusilla’s retreating backside to dodge the frosty blast that fills the room. She tries to say something, spits out a mouthful of ice, then shakes her head. Slowly she walks out the door, blade held in front of her like a threat. “Nahum, you’ve made us upset. And I think you’re well aware that revenge is a dish best served cold.”
Intimidate, Heroism, Repetitive: 1d20 + 17 + 2 - 5 ⇒ (13) + 17 + 2 - 5 = 27
Move and Demoralize, choosing the attack/AC/Reflex bonus fromfervor for the round. The hope is that if we can keep his spellcasting turned off, he’ll have to resort to hitting people with, I don’t know, his thigh bone. Once we get those last few images removed, Huxwren would suggest stealing his implements for good measure.

Grunyak'

Grunyak will take the +2 to reflex, to hit and dmage.
reflex vs cold: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 9
probably doesn't matter +1 is for the prot evil. Grunyak only has a +1 cloak of resistance so he gets a little boost there.
He then channels positice energy even though it will get the demons and Naham.
positive energy: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 4) = 16
I figure it is better to have more people attacking but it is a gamble.
| GM Pudding |
Let's resolve Grunyak first that way Taariik doesn't need to make a stabilization check (or lose his turn) and Eldrin doesn't need to be staggered
The much-needed holy light of Torag fills the room, knitting together the grievous wounds everyone has suffered. The scenes of apocalypse visible through the gaps in the walls seem distant as the healing washes over all of you.
Nahum also drinks it in, but he seems more worried at Huxwren's unnatural appearance. It seems to have fractured something in his mind.
"They did both betray me. Myra and Stainton. We found him together, dreamed of immortality together, but when I bathe the world in dreams of destruction he WILL CHOOSE ME and you'll all be DEAD! hAhAHAHAHA!"

@Eldrin what level the spell-like-ability is is not totally clear to me to be honest, I've read the FAQ about cleric and sorcerer abilities and it doesn't really apply cleanly. However it's moot as unfortunately Spell-like-abilities can't be counterspelled it would appear
In a flurry of strikes, Huxwren quickly (and painfully) removes all of Nahum's images. His look of delight as she suffers quickly turns to fear as all of his images are removed. Finally Huxwren's dagger cuts into his flesh, only to find that his skin is somewhat more stone-like than she expected and he is able to resist some of the damage.
He's got stoneskin running because of course he does.
Taariik sends his sword flying through the air again toward Nahum, and Nahum seems a little wary of the skymetal blade in particular, however the difficult shot as well as the warding magic shimmering around Nahum's head means that it misses.
Grunyak heals some more of Taariik's grievous wounds as Eldrin studies his spellbook. Drusilla joins Huxwren in attacking, however Nahum merely sneers at her first attempt that rebounds off his planar ward. Her second strike is much better, but once again is deflected by this new protection. Her third swing however connects with his face, hard. Despite his stony skin the sound of his nose breaking can be heard across the room.
Do you have Eldrin's bulls strength in there Drusilla? I think you might have another point of attack and damage to add. Also a holy 2d6
Holy: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
Nahum reels from the blow, and with a nasally voice he announces
"EDUFF!"
He draws in a breath, concentrates, then attempts to let out a mental blast
He will cast defensively now his images are gone. Huxwren is not the only one with thought-only spells! Move action to centre himself, standard to cast
Concentration DC 23, shaken: 1d20 + 21 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 21 - 2 = 21
OMG that's a fail because of shaken. That was shout, 5d6 sonic damage in a 30 foot cone
The magical energies collecting around his forehead tremble and dissipate as his eyes dart back and forth frantically. He touches his holy symbol again and summons yet another layer of protective magic. As he does so the magic on the holy symbol seems to fade.
That's another mind barrier and his last abjuration focus point
