The stout orc cleric laughed, the fetishes piercing his chest rattling as he shook. He patted the head of his mace, and learned in towards Karol. ”We know the problem; THIS is the solution.” he snorted.

Dergosh stared at Tigerwolf as she speechified, a mixture of derision and disbelief creeping over his face. He stood up and strode around the cramped campfire. ”We goblins now? Weaselly timid goblins? We are ORCS! Rock Eye’s are little Wolftooth allies, they will do as we say. No need for violence? An orc says this, or a goblin?”

Dergosh muttered angrily and spit into the fire.

Back from vacation

Dergosh rubbed his hands over the fire as the group settled in for a rest. He scratched his scarred head in thought. "Need goblin fire for chief. Bombs are good, but we need fire too or chief will use bombs on us. Searching caves will take too long. Maybe ask old king Perz who is new king again where he keeps goblin fire?"

Dergosh bursts out with a loud laugh. However, he scratches his scarred head and looks to the kobolds to see if Majuba's unique diplomacy is effective. If not, he is prepared to use his own brand of persuasion. Rubs mace

Once the water has receded enough for Dergosh to rejoin the others he will trot over to Greez and prepare to help haul on the rope, and if that is insufficient will plan on pumping up the giant orc with bull's strength.

Actually it is Garmack in the water as he is a much better swimmer

Garmack knows a thing or two about swimming from his days on the Orcs vs Half-Orcs Intramural Relay Swim Team Challenges-- which usually resulted in the Orc team getting disgusted and flailing on the half-orcs in the water with paddles-- but that experience not withstanding he dives in and helps the search for The Big Metal Golian.

Dergosh has been on too many airplanes lately...

Can't tell what, if anything is to Dergosh's right further down the cave, but if there is room down there Dergosh will scramble in that direction presuming the Weedy Lady is focusing on sending the tidal wave towards the main group/beach.

Garmack, who is in a more advantageous location and better athlete, tries to climb up the cave wall out of harm's way.

Though just on the periphery of the Weedy Lady's water bomb, Dergosh did not like it one bit. For one thing, it threatened to get all their new, lovely bombs all wet, and Dergosh was pretty sure that was bad. For another thing...well, Dergosh couldn't really think of another thing, but one thing was enough.

Figuring Greez and Karol could handle the remaining two skum, Dergosh withdrew and hauled tail around the party towards the skum Garmack had dropped. Dergosh had no idea if his paln would work, but the orc grinned as he approached the fallen fishman.

Take a double move, ending by the first fallen skum to the west along the shore

Garmack decided he test the effects of his bow through the water wall, firing off a pair of arrows.

Dergosh longed to hear his buzzing mace smash into the face of this stinking fishman, but the skum all grouped together presented far too juicy targets. Garmack decided to eliminate the remaining land-based skum threatening their flanks, but thinking ahead he was also determined to see how well the Weedy Lady faired under a barrage of arrows. He moved along the bank towards to Odak's right, firing at the skum while also setting up his next shot against the WL.

Move to space adjacent to Odak, directly north of WL

Dergosh extricates himself from the shallow water, the discharges another burst of energy at the three closest skum, using his powers to shield the four nearest orcs from his attack.

Dergosh slips past Tigerwolf, moving to the edge of the water, and unleashes a hellacious blast of sound at the two skum nearest Odak.

Sorry for the absence

Dergosh sighs, and waits uncomfortably. Time to charge, he thinks, but he'll wait until Odak moves before charging full speed at the nearest opponent, his mace held high above his head ready to bring it down crushingly on a skum's head.

Garmack nods, and draws a bead on the skum indicated, eyeing down the shaft of his arrow.

Dergosh blinks a few times as Tigerwolf translates the conversation back and forth. He nods slowly, than almost casually removes the handful of sparkly moss he had taken from the cavern floor from his pouch so that the tall kobold could see it.

"So, if we kill Weedy Lady and get your moss back, little Wolftooth allies will give us these bombs and make us many more?

The cleric waves the moss around. "Where is Always Burny stuff?" he asked, looking around the cavern.

Dergosh prefers his fish sitting on his plate rather than flopping around, so he moves to crack the skum on the back of the head with his mace.

”Odak, block bombs if little Wolftooth allies don’t listen,” Dergosh said, pointing up to the kobolds. With that, he splashed forward next to Greez, yelling (of course) and swinging his mace threateningly.

Seeing the kobolds about to “waste” what Dergosh already thinks of as “his” bombs, he shouts angrily, “WOLFTOOTH ALLIES! DO NOT THROW BOMBS! KING FORBIDS IT!”

He steps forward in order to keep the slow moving Odak out of harm’s way and channels negative energy, making sure it excludes his four nearby allies.

Dergosh was pleased. Leave the sneaking to others, his idea of battle was bloody, brutal combat, and may the best Wolftooth win. The cleric stomped up to the edge of the water and shouted at the skum, waving his mace for emphasis, “Ho, fish faces! Come and get it! See if you can knock Dergosh the Loud from the water.” He raised his drum shield as he taunted them.

He hopes to draw the attacks of the fishmen, possibly even to get them down from their advantageous position, but certainly to give his comrades clear, uncontested shots at the skum.

The orc cleric trotted after the group after one more glance at the lake behind him to make sure no Weedy Lady was trotting after him. Before accepting Greez’s hulking helping hand up the ledge, he bent over and scraped up a large handful of the technicolor moss growing in the patch of sunlight on the cavern floor and stuffed it into his belt pouch.

Karol –>”Great more water. You know these boots that are being ruined were made by the greatest shoemaker in the great encampment, and one day I may pay him.”

Dergosh’s brow crinkled at this statement. Greatest shoemaker? What sort of thing is that to be for an orc or orc ally? Sound more like something for pitiful goblin to do.

Humming mace in hand, he hopped up to the top of the ledge with Greez’s help and looked around, thinking about where little Wolftooth allies might keep bombs and oil.

With a word to his wolf to stay put at the top of the cenote, Garmack scrambled up the ledge, bow at the ready.

@Odak -- IMO, the humans are all yours. :)

@Tigerwolf -- re kobolds, Squib is still up at the top of the cenote, and Curly ran off, so I don't believe there are any others (at least alive ones) in the immediate vicinity unless Odak says otherwise.

I know chill hasn't posted much at all for Karol in quite a while, is he an NPC now? I noticed you out his character name in parentheses along with Garmack.

With but one fishman left standing, Dregosh wasn't going to bother with him at this point and would instead reserve his power for a more worthwhile foe. He glances back in the direction of the lake to make sure no skum are coming up from behind them.

If nothing was in sight he glanced over to Karol and yelled, "Ho, Heartsinger--looks like we let others fillet the fishmen for now, eh? Good to let others have their fun now and then."

Garmack took another step into the cavern to get a clear angle on the remaining skum and kerchunked him with another arrow.

Dergosh hops off his rock and moves behind Greez and Odak, prepared to boost either of them with bull's strength if the smelly fishmen prove troublesome. Too many bodies in the way for him to charge in as he preferred.

He glances wistfully at the fallen skum just before them. Oh yes, he could make that rotting fish turn into a screaming blaze if he wanted... For now, he waited to see how the battle would play out.

Seeing the skum sink back into the large, Dergosh roared with victorious anger.

Dergosh tore his loudly buzzing mace from his hip and struck at the skum's head...

Unwilling to let his friend be a human orcish golian shield all by himself, Dergosh sidled up to edge of the water next to the armor-plated giant.

"Careful, friend. With all that armor on you swim worse than three week dead wugaloo. You fall in you never come up."

Without a fishing pole, net, or even a goblin bomb, Dergosh decided to blast the first skum to show its scaly head.

Dergosh plopped to the floor of the cenote if not gracefully at least authoritatively. He looked disdainfully at the dead fishmen sprawled on the ground and mock glared at Odak and Greez. ”I told you to leave some for me. Oh well, plenty more fish in the ocean I suppose.” he bent over to look closely at the dead bodies, trying to figure out what they were.

"Ho! Odak!" yelled Dergosh in warning. "Some fish faces come out to play."

His courage inspiring exhortations done, the cleric tried to think of something useful to do while anxiously waiting his turn on the vine, momentarily considering flinging their kobold ally at the fishmen like a sack of rocks.

Dergosh stormed around the perimeter of the cenote angrily, and of course loudly. None of his spells would reach the fishman and ranged combat wasn’t really his forte. He decided to try a different tact.

“Hey Wugaloo face!” he screamed at the creature below. “We are the mighty Wolftooth, fearsome of visage, girth, and especially VOLUME! Our tribe uses guppies like you for bait, to catch something worthy of our dinner plates! Warrior Garmack will flense your scales! Warrior Tigerwolf will pluck your eyes! If that is not truly frightening enough, Warrior Karol will sing at you!

Making an on-the-spot recalculation, Dergosh decides that while bombs are indeed awesome, they would probably be exponentially more awesome when pointed away from allies and towards enemies instead.

The orc cleric thanked Majuba while watching the humans being tightly bound up with cords, the sour look on face not improving his looks any. Rapping Odak's armor with his knuckles he looked up at the giant and said, "Sorry friend, looks like you have to carry the weakling softskins. Any trouble comes, throw them to the ground; if heads accidently get stomped under your boots, oh well. Just be careful after, brains on bottom of boot can be slippery."
