As the lance stabs at karol, he speaks a quick word, and he vanishes into a mist. The rider stabs the mist, striking nothing. Karol reappears, unharmed and grinning. In common he says, better luck next time, monkey
The rider flinches back startled, swearing aloud.
Then karol attacks elk again

If next round or whenever it might be.
Arms are tried to keep firmly around the human to keep them handled in that what might have been like a bear hug. A very loud growling being done to the human almost as if tempting them to break free.

Is the stag rider labeled H4 running away?
If so then the Doctor will join the rest of his compatriots finishing off the last enemy. Feeling much revived from Odaks healing he will look down in admiration at his new soon to be developed scars.
Odak, lets go finish the last one off and then I make medicine for us

Sorry all, I had a post last night that Paizo ate when the boards went down.
”I yield. Now get off me you stinking ape,” snarled the man pinned under Greez.
The flares from the crossbow bolts guttered out, their alchemical tubes spent, leaving the gully in only moonlight. The dim light, along with one of his comrades surrendering, caused the rider facing Karol to reconsider his position. “I yield as well,” he yipped, trying to dismount his pawing elk.
dismount: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
However, with Karol waving an axe at it, the elk had other ideas, lunging to attack Karol.
e4@Karol: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
e4@karol: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
e4@karol: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Karol damage: 2d5 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1) + 5 = 8
The riderless elk had trotted towards the back of the gully where they eyed the company warily, while the one that Dergosh swung at ineffectually bolted back up the gully to disappear into the night, Tigerwolf’s shoot bouncing off the gully walls behind it.
Odak and Majuba can still take actions this round.

> Odak targets the ELK THAT ATTACKED KAROL, moving into position in order to strike the Elk with restraint, the giant intends to knock the Elk out rather than kill it. He manifests INEVITABLE STRIKE (1+2PP), his concentration magnified as he gives himself the best chance of whacking the Elk on the head with the side of his sword.

The Doctor moves in and gives the stag the "Evil Eye"(Will 17)
If he makes the save he takes a -2 to AC for 1 rd, If he fails he takes a -2 to AC for 8 rds.

Tigerwolf was surprised that she missed considering it didn't know the bolt was coming. Guess her aim was a bit off. She would make sure nothing else was up here before heading down to the others.

The doctor will now hit the stag with the misfortune hex(Will 19)
which if he fails gives a -2 to basically all rolls, I have a link on my profile under the hex tab

Was growling loudly right into the still pinned human's face. Loud enough it was vibrating off the nearby walls. He tries to keep that grapple going still. And if was still doing so would do a non-lethal headbutt to try to simply knock out the human to tie up and let others question later as well as perhaps keep as a 'pet' as long as able to.

I think you are mistaken about the misfortune hex. When used it requires that the target rolls twice, taking the worst, on ability, attack, saves and skills for one round. The evil eye hex may be what you are thinking about. It gives a -2 to one of AC, attack rolls, saves or skills for 3 round plus int mod on a failed save, one round if they make the save.

Yeah that is exactly how the misfortune and the evil eye hexes work and both can be extended by cackling.
Sorry i will try to explain it better.

I know he gave up. It's just what my guy would have done. He's not the smartest but goes by more street smarts after all. And his gut told him to knock him out.

While Majuba and Garmack drag the other human over to when Greez has the first one pinned, Karol continue to try to finish off the elk
Karol: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

With the human that knocked out now no longer a problem and easy to be handled now, he lets out a loud laugh as dusts off his pants. His voice echoed in that gully a bit. The unconscious human was picked grabbed and dragged toward the others by one arm.
"Human need tied up. When wake so no get away. Make good plaything to wolves back at camp."
While he did a bit bounding between feet, he didn't seem to mind to much the various wounds and injuries had gotten during that battle.

I am guessing there is no way to see the one they are fighting

Ok, so what would you like to do with your two human prisoners? The elk at the back of the gully are looking nervous and appear unlikely to welcome anyone near them.
Odak the Iron Giant
> Odak cancels his attack as soon as the Elk was down, slowly lowering his sword to the earth, breathing heavily as he stared down at the creature, taking a moment to calm himself.
The giant would turn towards the others, looking at the humans they captured, he sheathes his sword and shield to his back and reaches out with his hand,
"I carry humans, will take care of them"
Tigerwolf Runt
Tigerwolf would head down to meet up with the others.
"So we have prisoners." She would look at the humans and in common asks.
"What are you humans doing here?" She looks at the others.
"Let's go through their things. Find useful things and what we can us." SHe said in orc.
Odak the Iron Giant
> Odak treads over to where the humans were and wraps his metal-clad fingers around each of them as he sat himself down by the nearby wall, he sits each human on his thighs, draping his thumb and palm across their shoulders; effectively sitting them down on his lap to watch the others and also provide a place for his friends to interrogate them securely.
The giant eyes each one curiously from above, not even breaking line of sight unless asked to by another ally.

Remember guys. One I was grappling knocked out so will not be able to be questioned right away.

Karol gives a wolf cal for victory.

He moves over to the prisoner. Speaking in common
Now then, just so you know, you have surrendered to the wolftooth tribe. That means you are now a slave. We need some answers now and we can do this the easy way, or we can do this the fun way. Your choice, slave. Your future treatment depends on this.

Sorry for the delay all, it’s just been stupid busy around here between work and family, and then we added to the chaos by hosting an exchange student. But back to the game!
A search of the four dead bodies and the one conscious captive turned up pouches of walking around money—20gp and 40sp—and a potion each. [100gp. 200sp, 5 potions total].
The man rendered unconscious had a slightly bigger stash: 100gp, 200sp, a potion, and a map.
Unrolling the map, it appeared to be a work in progress. River fords were marked, campsites, but more chillingly, the eastern portion of the map was marked with the locations of many of the tribes’ villages, and not just the Wolftooth either, but a number of the clans. In addition, one site was marked with a red X—a site where there is (was?) a shrine to The Warrior.
In response to Tigerwolf’s questioning, the man answered, “Exploring. Scouting these lands in the name of the Queen.” Though clearly fearful, there were hints of contempt in his voice.
Greez Fhang
So a grand total of 40gp and 80sp for everyone?
At spotting the rewards from the human had grappled and rendered knocked out, A heavy and loud laugh came out. A bad attempt of a dance which just resulted in stomping around some was done.
"Caught one had important paper!" Voice had a great deal of pride and happiness behind it.
Tigerwolf Runt
Tigerwolf smiled looking at the human hearing the contempt in his voice. It was sweet childlike smile.
"I see, so you are the forward scouts. Your Queen is declaring war I take it?" She said moving towards him. Her form was petite and little when next to the others.
Turning to Greez she smiled and said in Orcish. "Excellent work Greez. He will be your slave if you wish to keep him." She took it and looked it over and her eyebrows raised and looked at the man.
"Why is this site marked with a red x human?" She asked her voice nice and sweet. Not intimidating at all. The others were far more intimidating than she was and she let them be. After all, her trick was getting people to underestimate her and not realize how deadly she really was, or even what she was in the right circumstances.
Mercurion
”War?” he responded, a bit quizzically. “No, the Queen wants to annex these lands. No one lives here, so we are surveying them.”
When Tigewolf asked him about the map, he first shrugged, saying, ”I don’t read,” but when specifically asked about the red X he added, ”Oh, that. That was some savage altar to a false god. Burned that to the ground.”
Tigerwolf Runt
"These are Orc Clan Lands so yes, she is declaring war. She is taking the lands that belong to the tribes. That alter you destroyed and burned down was to our Chieftain's god. Not a false god but one who sent us here. So not only have you brought the wrath of the Warrior down upon you..." She moves up to him her eyes showing a contained rage in them. "But also that of the entire Wolftooth Clan. The Warrior did well to urge us here. For now we know why and our rage has a focus. You just gave Wolftooth the power to unite all the clans under one Banner. The Wolftooth Banner." She let her words sink in. There was no need for intimidation when the truth was all the more unsettling.
Tigerwolf smiles, showing the pronounced canines from her orc heritage. In Orchish. "If we hand these humans over to the chieftain he will relish torturing them for such desecration. A Gift for him to find out what else this Queen is planning."
Garmack Scareye
Garmack watches the proceedings, disgusted by the humans lack respect and angered by their destructive acts And they ay we are the savage ones...
At Tigerwolf's last comment he moves forward and speaks up in orcish
"Indeed he will and I am sure we can discover many things from this filth, but we have another mission first. We must check on the Kobolds, that is our first priority
Doctor Majuba
|
Garmacks words have iron in them, humans will slow us down, let us give the chief our information and paper. As for the defilers let's cook these pinkskins up with some stag.
Tigerwolf Runt
Tigerwolf nods and smiles at Garmack. "Indeed, Who knows, all the stench of blood and fresh meat will draw out that water serpent. Let us gather everything, knock him out when we move out. Take the fresh meat. Coming with...gifts for the Kobolds will ease the negotiations if there is a need for it and feed us well. I am glad we stopped here first though."
Turns to the human and asks in common. "Have you been getting help from any orcs?"
Turning to the Doctor and speaks in orcish again. "We have wolves they can ride tied up like trussed meat. Will make great bait for the water serpent."
