"I think that Chief Sull was pretty clear that these are our enemies."

"I do not think we will be able to move up without them noticing. I say let's just rush them. I don't like the idea of just Davin sneaking up on them by himself."

Darros nods his agreement at Sabrina's directives.
"Yes, I can act as the battering ram." He says with a smile. Once Davin returns with his report, Darros will drink his mutagen just before they move into the cavern.

Have fun :)

You can copy spells from spellbook and then sell it.

I am fine with however you want to handle the splits, but a way we do it that seems most fair is that we figure out the entire loot value (including items that characters plan to keep), then we figure the split from that total, then characters can "buy" back items from the loot list at half their value. This way everyone gets an even split value wise and characters get an opportunity to get items for half cost. Otherwise there will be members that end up with a disproportionate amount of value as some items will be very valuable and the loss of their sale will diminish other members shares.

Darros wanders about the town for a bit, but, like Davin, turns in early so they can get a good start tomorrow.

it was at the fight with the cloaker like creatures, right before fighting the insane dwarf.

Darros narrows his eyes in suspicion. He immediately drags one of the bodies and begins searching it. He finds an amulet and growls menacingly. Whatever it is you see him squeeze until drops of blood drip from his closed hand. He then throws it to the ground and stomps on it for good measure.

"They are not crusaders, but instead foul worshippers of the Usurper, Baphomet! Strip them of any valuables and leave them to rot!"

Turning to the Mongrelmen he asks, "Do you know these men? Have you seen them before?"

I assumed we had to go by the creature anyhow....

perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Darros cautiously approaches, an eye out for any movement.

Darros will move forward to investigate the bodies. He keeps his axe ready for the plants if they move.

"I will lead, I am less susceptible to confusion than most."

LOL, you took your armor off, then put it on, then jumped. :)

"How much rope do we have amongst us?"

Argus has a crippled leg.

Darros looks at the chasm.

"If we get some one across, I can toss the others. Not very dignified, but it will be fairly safe. Otherwise, how much rope do we have?"

Assuming that we will try to lift rock, Darros will rage as he tries to lift.
Str check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Seeing that Davin has evidently resolved things peacefully, he will step out and head over to help. He waves his hand as if to forestall any misconceptions.

"Do not be alarmed, I am no follower of the Usurper, Baphomet. I adhere to the Herald that saved the mother of our race, Iomedae."

Darros reacts immediately, bellowing a war shout in Taurian he swings his axe trying to drop the dwarf quickly.

Darros will go to Davin as the others are surrounding the other creature.

Jason, I am not raging yet, forgot that I won't have a readied attack, so I don't want to waist a round of my limited rage.

Darros moves to cluster with others.
"Everyone cluster together and prepare to swing at them when they drop down again." He tells everyone.

Darros drinks his mutagen and rages.

"I also follow Iomedae. However, this is a shrine to Torag and I am loathe to redesignate it. Especially considering the punishment he meted out to its builder." He points at the corpse on the floor.
"Torag is an honorable and righteous god. I have no problem restoring his shrine."

With a great cry, Darros moves up to the creature and attacks.

"Hmpf, well I guess we know why it's abandoned now." Darros says as he gestures towards the body.

Quiet, we do not know what lies ahead. Argus, please rest here for the moment and collect yourself. We can not afford to quarrel with each other." darros turns to Horgus.
"And you, please try to have some patience. We will get you out, do not worry, but we will not leave anyone behind."

Darros will go take a look at the door. He looks over at Davin first, raising an eyebrow in question as he gestures towards the door.
"Check it first?"

"A building? Intact? We should check for supplies."

"Climb? Me? Not very well unfortunately. I can boost someone up perhaps."

Darros looks up at the strap."So who is going to climb up and get it?"

Round 2

Darros nods his thanks to Sabrina at her assistance and steps around the other insect to attack it.

The light is mostly needed by the NPCs. I think everyone else except Davin has Darkvision.

Darros will move forward to inspect the camp.

Any preferences for a marching order? Just so you know, I am a straight up melee guy.

At Sabrina's warning, Darros pulls out his axe and heads towards her to help.

Perc: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

"Can any of you perform more healing on this one?" Darros indicates the man with the broken leg. "We need to be able to have him move on his own. Also, I think he would like some relief from his pain."

To the Elf.
"Sir, we will get organized first and see to getting each of you taken care of. Is there any information you might have that can aid us?"

"I am Darros Ironhorn. I had come to Kenabres hunting the traitor responsible for the destruction of my village. He is a follower of the usurper, Baphomet, and he will pay for his crimes." At the last, Darros pats his large, oddly shaped axe.
"As to your question Elf, I have no experience with actual demons, but I have much experience with my fiendish cousins."

Darros looks a little askance at the nobleman's implied insult, but shrugs as he is used to it. He points at Sabrina.
"There, she is a holy warrior of Iomedae it appears. Ask her to check my intent. I am secure in my righteousness."

As memories come back, Darros roars in anger and frustration (probably startling the rest). He then immediately regrets the loss of control.

"Forgive me, I was just expressing my grief over the loss of the great dragon."
Seeing the wary looks (and possibly drawn weapons), he quickly adds, "Do not worry, I am no follower of the usurper, Baphomet, and I do not suffer from the same level of seething rage as my bigger cousins."

Just arrived late morning.

Darros starts awake and grasps his ax. Looking around he notices other forms, but no light or clue as to how he got here. The man that had started talking to him is near, so he figures that there was some sort of cave-in. Darros begins checking himself for injuries as well as gathering his things.

Darros stopped short at the unexpected greeting. A bit nonplussed by the very different reaction, he didn't know how to respond.
"Uh-excuse me?" He stuttered out. "I am unsure what you mean. I am Darros and I have just recently arrived. I know very little of what this festival is for. I just came to Kenabres looking for another of my race that is here somewhere."

After the third inn, Darros gave up. With the festival, it was impossible to get information. Besides, he doubted the traitor would make himself known.

Oh well, I might as well see what all the fuss is about

With that, Darros headed towards the cathedral to get a good spot.

Darros wandered the streets of Kenabres, feeling uncomfortable. The influence of Baphomet was much stronger here and he knew his looks raised suspicions. He had already noticed paladins scrutinizing him, but ignored them as he was secure in his righteousness.
The traitor is near, I can sense it. Of course he has fled here to the proximity of his blasphemous master.
Unfortunately there seemed to be some sort of celebration being prepared and the streets were crowded. No matter, he would start searching the inns to see if anyone had seen another of his race come into the city.

Appearance:

The blood of Tayros runs true in Darros's lineage, and as such he looks like a classic minotaur. The only thing differentiating him from his more bestial cousins is his size. Though he is large for most humanoids, he is no where near the massive size of a minotaur. His eyes are also a give away, as they lack the seething rage that is common in minotaurs. His fur is a glossy black with reddish highlights and his horns are startling white in contrast. One could almost mistake him for a paladin of Iomedae as his armor is emblazoned with her holy symbol and he wears a silver holy symbol about his neck.

Also still interested. However, this character uses a 3PP race though. Let me know if OK.

The mythic Demi-lich is a killer too. Its devour soul ability is a save or die ability that even if you make your save you still gain 3 permanent negative levels.

Yes, I added it and it works perfectly.

GM Glory, do you use Hero Lab? If so, let us know and those of us that have it can just send you the .por files of our characters.

Sabrina, Darros is essentially a paladin without the powers. He will be a fairly strict adherent to the paladin code of honor of Iomedae.

Darros ponders, Hmmm. what if I mixed those with my mutagen?

Here is the completed version:

Backstory:

Darros was the son of a great chieftain of the Taurian community. Their village was a staunch defender of the old ways and a center for the keeping of the truth of the Taurian Tale. This was a constant annoyance to Baphomet, whose lies of his origins (claiming to be made from the soul of Austerian) were contemptuously refuted by the keepers of the Tale. As such, one night Baphomet sent his minions to destroy this thorn in his side.

The battle for Darros’s village was bloody and costly. Darros himself was very young and when the attack had ended, was the only survivor of his father’s sons. Darros was horribly wounded and there was not much hope for his recovery, but somehow he pulled through. Since then he has developed into an exceptionally resilient and strong example of his species.

Having no immediate family left, Darros devoted himself to be a holy warrior of Iomedae. Iomedae holds a special place to Taurians (those that do not succumb to the lies of Baphomet), as she was the messenger of Heaven that took Austerian and his mother to safety after the sacrifice of Tayros. However, old prejudices die hard and his attempts to join the ranks of paladins of Iomedae were rebuffed.

Now he heads for the Worldwound to prove both his faith and his strength in the worthy cause of defeating the demonic plague that threatens there. He hopes to be able to overcome the doubts and fears other humanoids naturally have of his appearance, but, more importantly, to prove himself worthy in the eyes of Iomedae.

The blood of Tayros runs true in Darros's lineage, and as such he looks like a classic minotaur. The only thing differentiating him from his more bestial cousins is his size. One could almost mistake him for a paladin of Iomedae as his armor is emblazoned with her holy symbol and he wears a silver holy symbol about his neck.

Personality:

Always being shunned and distrusted, Darros has reacted in a similar manner. He is hesitant to engage with others and seems to expect a negative reaction from the start. He tends to be distrustful of those that initially treat him well unless they are also followers of Iomedae. He is an intimidating presence and he uses that well to his advantage, especially in combat. He tends to have an acerbic wit and almost always surprises those that meet him with his intelligence, as they expect a more brutish individual. He is honest to a fault and though slow to trust, is steadfastly loyal to those he does. His quick and hot temper can still cause him trouble and he works hard to keep a lid on it. However, the one overriding trait that is immutable is his utter devotion to Iomedae.
