Hi bugleyman, I'll try this :). I was just wondering, as this has never happend to any of my other D&D3 hardcovers. Still I'd like a feedback from the Paizo Customer Service, as I was planning to by another copy of the book and if this is a known problem, I might have to change my plans. Best regards,
Hi Sara Marie and Cosmo. When I took my copy of the Pathfinder Bestiary from my shelf yesterday, I noticed the covers were kind of bent inwards ("U-shaped"). Is this a known problem? I'm asking as I want to prevent this from happening to my copy of the Advanced Player's Guide and the Bestiary was just sitting next to some other hardcover books on my shelf. Best regards,
Dear Customer Service. I just tried to figure out how much my monthly shipping fee will increase if I add in "Serpent Kingdoms". Unfortunately as soon as I klick on "Proceed to Checkout" in my sidecard I am taken to the final confirmation page with "Combine with the earliest possible subscription shipment." already checked.
Maybe Gary wants to look into this problem, so I thought I'll let you now about it. Best regards,
Dear Customer Service, I just added the PFRPG Subscription. Please cancel this subscription AFTER the Bestiary has been shipped. As my shipment options are set on "hold for monthly shipment" I would appreciate it if you could combine the Bestiary with order 1270243. I also have noticed that a combined order would be shipped in two packages. If possible (and it doesn't cause too much trouble) it would be great if you could ship the package containing the Bestiary now (charging the first part of the shipping cost ($23.62) and adding the PDF to my downloads) and send the second part as soon as all items in this order are available. If this is not possible I just request that the Bestiary and #1270243 are combined to save money on shipment. Thank you in advance.
Dear Alison and Cosmo. As I have not received an answer to my email sent last Thursday I'll try it again via this message boards: I wrote:

Well bending luckily never has been a problem with my shipments :). It's more like "Do not throw this around and let it hit against surfaces several times" or in a shorter manner "Handle with care" ;) Another option would be an highly increased amount of buffer material inserted into the packages. This obviously won't help the normal "envelope shipments".
My copy arrived today and I noticed that the paper quality heavily improved compared to the Rise of the Runelords Map Folio. The sheets seem more stury. Does anyone know whether this is a permanent improvement? :) And somehow I hope the Second Darkness Map Folio will not include another map of Varisia ;).
Hi there. My campaign setting arrived today and somehow the cover image seems to be quite blurred and shows small artifacts as if the used image file was heavily compressed. Has anyone else noticed this? The artework is still great but the image quality seems to be poor compared to other chronicles or adventure path products.
German customs have not opened my shipment but still the amount of paper inserted as buffer was not sufficient as the edges of my campaign setting (and Pathfinder 12) are bent in. Sadly this happens with nearly every shipment regardless what packaging method is used. Approximately 50% of the books (Advneture Path, Modules etc) do not arrive in mint condition. They are still ok and far from what you would call "damaged" but still it is quite annoying. A "Handle with care" label seems to be a good idea.
Hi. I just added the Pathfinder Companion to my ongoing subscriptions (the free Second Darkness Companion was very convincing :)) and now my account shows You have 1 item waiting to be shipped when Pathfinder #13—Second Darkness Chapter 1: "Shadow in the Sky" (OGL) Print Edition arrives at our warehouse:
Can you remove this item? As stated above I already got a free one and therefore do not need another copy of it. Thanks in advance :)
So Pathfinder 3 and Carnival of Tears arrived today and sadly in a slightly damaged state. It's no big deal (only two corners of each product are bend) and I'm surprised that they are still in such a "good" shape when I look at the corners of the cardboard envelope.
To be fair: It's the first time the damage to the envelope was sever enough to slightly damage the items inside. Ah and thank you for the Christmas card. The new Goblin song is fantastic. Just a pitty that the promotional code is no longer valid ;)
Thank you for the reply. Well the shipping cost to Germany for the Treasure Chest dropped from about 30$ to 25$ which is still a little bit too much for my taste ;). My major concerns are the card products and the hardcover book. Maybe I'll give it a try and see what shipping costs the automatic generated orders for subscriptions show.
Greetings Celeblas
Finally I noticed that the Pathfinder Chronicles Subscription is available and there is just one thing stopping me from subscribing: Shipping Cost. As the items in this subscription will vary wildly (ranging from item cards to hardcover books) is there a fixed shipping cost? I'm asking because I'm not willingly to pay almost as much for shipping as for the product in question. The shipping (to Germany) for the Treasure Chest for instance is insane and I fear that I will face similar problems with the Pathfinder Chronicles subscription. Which leads to another question: Will Pathfinder Adventure Path subscribers receive a free PDF for products they purchase separately or do I have to subscribe to Chronicles to gain this benefit? Greetings
Well they reused an extreme amount of art in this book. Let's have a look at the Art Gallery. From the top of my head I recognize: #1 Dragons of Faerûn
The price for this book is lower than usually but I'd rather pay more and have all new artwork. Slightly disappointing but understandable move from the Wizard living by the Coast. Somehow they have to keep down the cost for books in the transition phase.
Well I considered ordering it directly form Paizo but almost got an heart attack when I noticed the shipping fee of 39.55$. Given the fact that the GameMastery Module included is the major selling point for me I guess I have to order it seperately. I'm glad that the module is actually offered sepetately :).
I downloaded it about an hour ago and I am very happy that the shipping process for non-american subscribes has been greatly improved :). So far I only scrolled through the PDF and the artwork ist great. Well I still don't like the elven ear length, but I probably have to live with it ;). The background for skinskaw murders with the splashed of blood is creepy (in a very positive way) and seeing a "full color" Pathfinder Journal opposed to a black and white one is, at leat in my eyes, a great improvement. Can't wait to receive the printed copy let alone see what the next issues of Pathfinder will bring :).
Well I was hoping for this little guy and his friedns ;). But I guess I'll just stick with my current avatar :).
After having a closer look at amazon.de I noticed that most of Paizo's products are still listed using a placeholder image. Well no big surprise given that we are talking about amazon. Far more annoying is the misspelling of Rise of the Runelords as Rise of the Ruinlords. Given the possibility to suggest corrections to product listings, I at least wanted to try doing this. So I have one question: Amazon lists Wayne Reynolds as illustrator. That seems not quite right as he "only" is responsible for the (in my opinion great) cover art. So would it be sensible to remove the entry completely? Celeblas :)
Pretty nice idea :). And if I'm not mistaken you are the one responsible for the current Layout? I just wanted to add that it is, at least in my opinion, pretty amazing and even surpasses what I'm used from WotCs publications. Mmmh... I wonder what background image will be included in the second adventure path :).
After I had a closer look into my print copy of Burnt Offerings I noticed that the sihedron runde is included in the background image in almost all parts except for the Foreword, Pathfinder Journal and the Bestiary. Is there a deeper intention behind this or why was the rune omitted from this parts? My first guess was that the journal and the monsters are of general interest for Golarion whereas the other parts of Pathfinder #1 are adventure path specific content. Greetings
Personally I'd like to see any product included that also can provided in pdf format. That would include things like the Korvosa Guidebook or the Map Folio but not Item Cards or T-Shirts.
Poor Gary. This deluxe subscription stuff will mean a lot of work for him. Has Paizo ever considered cloning their Postmonster General? ;)
Well I finished looking through the PDFs and I'm too not that happy with the character artwork in Burnt Offerings. Somehow I prefered Jeff Laubensteins style as seen in adventures like Box of Flumph, as it has a more realistic feel to it. And concerning Shalelu Andosana on page 19: Judging by this ears your elves can fly by flapping with them fast enough. Will the longeared elves be a part of the look of Pathfinder? Personally I don't like them ;). The remaining artwork is, at least in my opinion, quite good and up to the standards I'm used from Dungeon adventures. On the other hand the artwork in Seven Swords of Sin is fantastic. Any chance to see more character illustrations in the same line as the goblin and his raptor on page 12? And I want to second artist credits. Thats a feature I always liked in WotC's publications. Greetings
Edit: Another question. Is the artwork in the Pathfinder Journal entry hold in black and white on purpose?
Well that explains the shipping cost.
Ah and before I start experimenting with my shopping cart again there is one question left:
Celeblas wrote: Oh and is there any way to get an alternate cover version of Burnt Offerings signed by the Paizo Staff ;)? Thank you Vic. GreetingsCeleblas.
Playing with the idea of purchasing a Combat Pad and the Brunt Offerings Alternate Cover Version, I added some stuff to my cart:
As soon as I add the Combat Pad Extra Magnets the shipping cost goes from 6.81$ up to over 20$. Ok so I tried just adding the Combat Pad and the magnets but the shipping cost is raised from 6.86$ to over 14$. Are these magnets especially unwieldy or why else is the shipping cost skyrocketing when I add them to my shopping cart? Oh and is there any way to get an alternate cover version of Burnt Offerings signed by the Paizo Staff ;)? Grettings
Hello. I just checked my credit card bill and realized that I was charged $12.82 shipping and handling cost for orders #756229 and #729583, but both D0 and D1 arrived in the same package.
Oh and I received a bill with aforementioned orders, but none with W1. Was this an oversight or is this common for subscriptions? And before I forget it: Thank you for the free Item Card booster and Paizo Summer Catalog included in the last shipment :). Greetings
Thanks for the information Vic. And I already hoped I just could go to bed and wake up finding my Pathfinder PDF ready for download :(.
And thank you Gary for keeping us informed about your progress over the last couple of days, weeks and months. Normally I would be upset about the delay, but given the fact that the whole Paizo staff does its best to keep all of us informed, I can cope with it pretty well :). So given the fact that its 1:25 o'clock in Germany now, I will stop waiting for my PDF file and got to bed ;):
Well I also have gotten no Email so far. But my order histrory shows Pathfinder #1, Pathfinder Players Guide and Seven Swords of Sin as order, which automatically was placed on Thurday.
Thats a little bit strange. But I have confidence in the abilities of the Paizo staff. So... no reason to worry :)
Thank you Gary. That reduces shipping cost from 11,38$ to 6,38$ for me. Thank you very much :). But I still have one question: If I for example make the GameMastery Modules wait for my next Pathfinder issue to be shipped, will me credit card be charged when the GameMastery Modules become available or when they are actually shipped?
Any chance to include an option to be charged for the modules as soon as they become available and therefore immediately gain access to the PDF? Did I already thank you for the combined shipping option? ;)
Erik how many pages will this "expansion book" have and will there be a free PDF version if we are going to order it directly from Paizo? The free PDFs are a huge selling point to me as including shipping cost it would be cheaper to wait until my FLGS in Germany can get it :). The newly announced products sound very neat and if you guys continue to produce such great books I'll go broke ;).
I just got Dungeon 148 (my FLGS hat some problem getting the issue) and noticed in Prison Mail that there were plans of releasing a compiled Campaign Workbook. Is there still a chance we will see such a compilation?
Also are there any plans in realising a Monster Ecologies II? The first volume is great, but I was a little disappointed that you only had space to fit in 18 Monsters. Greeting
@DitheringFool

I suppose someone failed his spot check ;).
On the one hand I'm sorry that it will take some time till we see another adventure from you Erik, but on the other hand I'm glad to see how much effort you (and the whole Paizo staff) is putting into Pathfinder :).
Regrading Castle Greyhawk: What kind of adventure can we expect? Personally I don't like dungeon crawls very much and another super dungeon would not catch my interest. That was one of the reasons I didn't buy Expedition to Undermountain. Expedition to the Demonweb Pits on the other hand was great because it was kind of a planar sightseeing tour. Thanks for your answers.
