"North door is nailed shut... ugh.. blood is pooling under the western doors..." He called back softly advancing on the blood door.
Well aware he was clumsy and in heavier armor he did his best to follow Lazur.... but he kept about 20 feet back to preserve the man's silent steps. When he doubles back to the group he stays close. "I dont know, I don't suppose you were able to tell if any part of this place is more heavily used than another? I don't think it will matter just pick a direction and we can head that way. Should i take the lead?"
"I dont.... i dont see anything, that water looks swift!" He called up and took a better grip on the rope. He was trying to focus on his job, what he was doing here... thinking of the pretty elf ranger who protected the city possibly being lost to an errent fall seemed... seemed... well it seemd so futile and pointless. "Pull me up, theres nothing i can do from here i dont think."
He was already removing parts of his armor and kicking off his boots. "She is the ranger that keeps the town safe from most of the goblin troubles. . . i mean this time was a strange thing yeah.... Lower me down, If i have to tie her to my body and try to climb up I will. Just keep an eye on that stupid fort will you?"
"Cant wait to hear you squeel you little jerk" He growled out as he swung his flail.
He staggered up to his feet and then pushed forward, not concerned really with if they attacked him more concerned about keeping them from focusing on Lazur or the bridge. He cried out loudly trying to startle them.
"Shalelu!" He called as the ranger disapeared from view he moved to the edge getting his rope from his pack and tying it off tossig it over the side. He tried to study the bridge to see if there was anything he could do to make it safer.
He went to open his mouth to argue against the idea of letting the goblin flee. Everyone of those blasted creatures deserved to die . . . but he was pretty sure Wayland knew what he was doing. He just gave the man a terse nod and moved to to the edge keeping his eyes peeled for more goblins.
Calin watched the rugged yet attractive elf ranger gather her arrows and begin the search for proper arrow shafts. Tessa was prettier for sure, but perhaps it was his elven blood. "What... do you think miss Shalelu? You know the goblins better than any here. How much more could they have at Thistletop?" He asked looking kinda lost as to what he should be doing. He waited for someone to direct him to do something.
"Are you okay miss Shalelu?" He began moving forward the direction the lizard ran just in case there were more goblins.
The skull was easily deflected with his shield, and guessing that again more of the green gas was going to explode from it he instantly held his breath and moved from the small cloud of it. "Die foul beast!" He cried out once more attacking the goblin with his flail.
"I dont think the lizard is real.. I mean its real but its small and on her arm!" He called out having enough hindsight to not breath in the noxious looking gas. He moved closer to the goblin and out of the gas wafting in the air swinging his flail at the annoying goblin warchanter.
His weapon when right through it! He tried to swing at the goblin atop it next.
The lizard and the warchanter would likely be trouble, Shalelu was the closest target of them all and she was wounded. "You got him Morgrym!" He called out to the dwarf shifting his stance and rushing the lizard and its rider. He swung his flail at the lizard beast trying to keep its focus so it couldnt advance on the elf. "Keep pulling back Miss Shalelu!"
"Be right there Miss Shalelu! He called out even as he panted and spun charging torwards their dwarven friend with the three goblins closing on him in the grease.
"Light blasted things." He called out trying to time his attack with the threat of Trig's flaming hands.
It was definitely not his day. Its a good thing no one important was around to notice how suddenly incompetent he was.
so good news. its not covid killing me. Its a bronchial infection mixed with walking pneumonia.... good times I will try to manage more energy for posting things im terrible sorry. Today was the first day in like the last five days ive been able to be upright for more than an hour.
"Trig stay behin." He began as he shifted his weight to keep a better defense against the goblin dog when his voice trailed off and he shook his head slightly.
Ignoring the dog attacking him he got to his feet and moved to the goblin dog attacking Trig sliding his shield out in front of him. He snarled at the goblin dog trying to get its attention away from the gnome.
"haha We've got you now!" He called out even as he cut the rope and fell down. At least all the goblins were here for them to get.

Im in two games with GM Camris. I enjoy playing under him. I am also in two games with Rizzemagnus and he is a blast to play for, but i do have a little hesitancy with the large table idea. I think he could pull it off, there would be some dilution. Though you all would love The elf druid barbarian over there, very nice fellow. kinda shy. until its death time. Im good for any of the above options sorry im not much help.
Echoeing the others. make sure to take of you. I would love to continue this if able.
"good thing I have a knife..." He muttered like the others pulling it and trying to cut himself free.

He spun about at the sound of Shalelu's yelp and even as his mind said freeze dont move he took several steps torwards the ranger to help her out of her predicament.
He was quiet... at least in a speaking fashion. He was distracted by his thought and worries about how he might make a mistake or something here, clearly his head wasnt in the game.
He blushed when Shalelu grinned at them and offered a compliment. He certainly hadnt expected such from her. He did his best to take it in stride though. Surprising and ambushing the goblins had made things easier he was sure. "Thanks Miss Shalelu. Anything to keep the town safe." He said as he double checked the bodies of the goblins to make sure they were indeed dead. Even if they were a dangerous nuisance, no sense letting them suffer if they were barely still alive. "Whats the next move?" He asked hoping that quelling and killing more goblins was on the agenda.

"Oh.... He's getting..." He paused and realized that instead of pointing out the obvious he should do something about it maybe. He dropped his flail and shield and pulled out his light crossbow like the others and gave the retreating goblin leader a bolt.
With a wild yell of excitement He brought his flail down on the warchanter to the north. The flail came down low near the goblins knees.
He slipped to the left using the stump as some cover and closing with trig.
He looped around the stump and put himself in the path they had been traveling from, He set his shield and brought his flail crashing down on the goblin commando rearguard.
Waiting was the toughest part. He needed the goblins to move more into the clearing so he could dash to the back and pincer them in.
He moved deep into the brush, His plan was to wait till the ambush was launched then to try and loop around and cut off their retreat.

Only change i would make is changing improved trip into improved disarm.
Not sure how to help with the questioning he simply moved to the edge of the group and kept an eye down the route the warchanter had tried to flee. "I'll keep lookout." He offered stepping just a few extra paces away from the goblins. Despite them being little pests if uh things got a little rough with them he didnt want to see it... or hear it if he could help it.
He frowned at the idea of leaving the goblins, even unconcious just left behind but after a few thoughts realized it was probably the best thing to do. He certainly didnt feel comfortable killing them, even if they were little chaos beasts that were never any good. He merely adjusted his gear and put away his flail. He kept just a bit closer to Shalelu... in case there were further ambushes.
Seeing trig take an arrow he spun and moved to smash the business end of his flail into it.

I had built my build based on tripping, which Wayland does only change i would make is turning it to disarming. But thats no worries.
If the pretty elven ranger felt she didnt need the help he wasnt inclined to make himself a nuisance. He spun and looked for the closest Goblin with a bow, He could stop them molesting Shalelu another way if need be.
He moved as quick as he could and slipped in front of Miss Shalelu and the majority of the goblin achers using his shield and body to cover her. "goblins Squish and Goblins Die
