Hey everyone, sorry for dropping off the face of the bubble-city without a word. Things got rough a few weeks back and this game took the biggest hit.
Unfortunately, I think I'm going to need to withdraw from the campaign. It's been a blast, and I will miss all of you as much as I will miss Cabizo, but I can't get myself in the right headspace to play him right now - and that won't be fun for anyone else to play against. Cabizo holds one of the barathu's tentacles with one of his hands while another gently pats Hani on the back. "That's the spirit! Some serenity sounds like an excellent thing to strive for. If you're struggling to find it, I would suggest taking deep breaths, drawing some circles - don't worry, I brought the pigments and paper - and maybe listening to some soothing sounds." The skittermander starts humming tunelessly, rocking back and forth and giving exaggerated inhales and exhales for the other two to follow.
No worries on the bots - rough couple of days. I guess the bright side of this encounter is that Cabizo hasn't used any spell slots yet. XD

“There you go - right this way.” Cabizo walks over, grabs the merchant’s hand, and starts gently-but-firmly pulling him away from the still-angry plant. “I understand that there might be a lot of shock and confusion going on right now for you and a lot of stress chemicals rushing through your system, but right now the most important thing is to take a step back from the problem and take a deep, relaxing breath.”
Not really much Cabizo can do in this encounter I’m afraid. Moonflowers are usually weak to fire damage, so I was hopeful he’d be able to contribute more than just moral support. Oh well. XD

Cabizo smiles as he sees the sleep aid device in the room. That’s very nice of them to think of our stress levels, he thinks to himself as he empties his overflowing pockets and starts organizing their contents by color. Once he is satisfied with the results, the skittermander packs everything back up and goes in search of Zharis’s room.
A little while later, the entire team gets a notification from their email app.

4/5 checks attempted for the personal mission so far. I labeled the first as "Sense Motive to Mediate" and the other three as "Sense Motive vs Personal Mission" just to be super clear. Cabizo keeps pushing buttons on his new thermal regulator that Zharis helped him pick out before he finally finds the one that activates the heating unit. By the time he's finished, the door is open and there are more people with violently-unhealthy stress-coping habits inside. ”Well, there were those displays that got smashed.” Cabizo points one arm towards the main exhibit hall. ”And the security robot got rewired and a bit dented.” Another arm points. “And those arms in the lab probably need someone to make sure they’re alright.” He produces the transponder and holds it up with two more hands, leaving just one to gesture for added emphasis after all the pointing with the first three. ”And he was using this transponder to send data somewhere - though I can’t quite figure out where that was. Can you?”

I think there’s some writing inside, and I thought I recognized that curly brace thing I see in the message text when I get an email-bounced notification so I bet it’s computer code.”

I wonder if we can trace where it was sending data...” He looks over at the bound man. ”What kind of information did you need to send? Cabizo turns the corner to see Jin back on his feet, and the skittermander has to blink a few times to make sure he’s actually seeing what his eyes are telling him is happening. Then he looks up at the large scaly creature next to him.

Bravely, Cabizo steps into the doorway and draws his knife. “I... um... no.” he stutters, not having heard Zharis’s speech moments earlier for inspiration. Raising the blade above his head, he jabs at the invader’s foot.
