I hope I am not too late. I would like to apply with Bron Lenthaven, Human Cavalier from Restov. The character sheet is not quite complete as I still have some gold to spend and a few numbers to edit but background and description is finished. I will touch up the rest and should I be accepted, it'll be ready to go. Good luck all.

DM-Tareth:

Spoiler:
As a note for character development: Once the group reaches the kingdom building stage, I hope to have a shift in how Bron views the world. His main focus of exploring the Stolen Lands is to prove his noble blood through his deeds. However, once the responsibilities of running a kingdom start to weigh on him, he would undergo a shift in priorities. This shift would be represented by a change in his order from the order of the cocatrice to another one what better matches his evolving attitude towards his duty as one of the figureheads of a kingdom.

There are a few more things I want to add to his Background, but I wanted to post my interest in this campaign before the thread closes to new interest. I am applying with Bron Lenthaven, a Shielded Fighter Archtype. He is the son of an Order of the Nail commander, however, disagreeing with the Hellknights' tactics, he joined the Eldrin Military Academy and currently works as a member of the Korvosan Guard.

Male Human Fighter

Steadying himself so his armor wouldn't give the group away, Bron remains quiet until he hears steel being drawn. His training kicking in, Bron draws his flail as he rounds the corner, and moves into the room, stopping next to Morghrim with his weapon and shield ready.

Double move action to ready weapon and move to N,25.

Male Human Fighter

Following behind Kevorin and Morghrim, Bron keeps a serious face and silent as the group moves down the corridor in the direction of the Bastards' hideout.

Male Human Fighter

Not sure if squeezing into the hall would be smart, Bron simply holds his ground, determined to attack the hound should it somehow get past Valeron.

Male Human Fighter

Grunting in pain as the bite and flames overtake him, Bron lashes out with his flail, putting extra power behind his attack in hopes of dealing a serious blow to the infernal creatures.

Power Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage:1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Attacking Hound in I,18.

Male Human Fighter

Responding more quickly than the others, Bron squeezes past his comrades as he pulls out his flail and readies for combat.

Double move to move to J,19. Drawing his weapon as he moves.

Male Human Fighter

I think a surface attack might work, though it would have been nice to see where any surface entrances dropped us at in the sewers, especially since the only part to search was the door with the pit in it I think.

Male Human Fighter

Yeah, now Bron has a flank buddy.

Level 3 stuff

Average Hit point+con+ 1 favored class bonus

+1 attack
+1 Ref, Will
increased Ride, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Sense Motive and Climb
Gained Cavalier's Charge and Power Attack

Male Human Fighter

While the others go about selling items and preparing trick for their trek back into the "Bastards"' layer, Bron spends that time checking up on Patch-eye, making sure he is well tended for before training and mentally preparing himself for re-entering the sewers.

Male Human Fighter

"It's all about tactics my good man." says Bron as he helps the others sort out the area before adding, "I am game for anything, I can continue, but if others feel that we should return, then by all means lets, but first we should make sure that invisible creature isn't still about to follow us."

Male Human Fighter

Wishing to end this fight quickly, Bron shouts, "All who are willing, surround the creature, make sure it has no means to move." As the cavalier moves to flank the creature, the others find that moving to flanking positions makes their attacks hit harder as they are able to find the weak points in the creatures rubbery hide.

Standard action to grant Precise Strike to all within 30 feet which grants 1d6 Precision damage to all successful flank attacks for five rounds.

Male Human Fighter

Round 1
Giving the creature and intense stare as the horrific smell washes over him, Bron moves in and swings his flail in an attempt to connect with the horrific looking creature.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Human Fighter

Looking away at the brutal necessity of the situation, Bron turns back to the door with the growling behind it as he says, "Shall we?" Flail and shield out and ready to face what may be coming through the door, Bron takes point as he prepares to open the door.

Male Human Fighter

Moving through the room, Bron follows the routine of the last room, not moving on until the group decides where to move on to.

Doesn't matter if it can be mended, its the fact that the teifling had the gall to even think of cutting his braid. For a dwarf, it would be better to get cut yourself than to have a braid cut. :P

Male Human Fighter

Ready to continue exploring, Bron offers to take take point, with his flail and shield ready.

Moving into the room, Bron will wait for a signal from the rest of the group before testing and opening the door.

Male Human Fighter

After Kevorin checks out the door, Bron will ready his shield as he grips the door handle and opens the door.

Male Human Fighter

"If we are to continue on, we should be wary. I am sure that that creature which can vanish into thin air is still around here somewhere. Bron says as he helps to strip the tieflings of their gear.

Bron is more of a flail and heavier armor user so the only thing he would be interested in is the ring. However, if it would help one of the others to take the ring, then he will wait.

Male Human Fighter

Not liking the advantage the Tiefling had in these narrow halls, Bron will leave the result of the melee ahead to Morghrim as he simply sticks close to the intersection, providing a buffer in case of a rear assault.

Ready action to attack tieflings that might be coming from behind the group.

Male Human Fighter

Waiting a split second to cover the group's back, Bron then hustles to catch up with the rest of the group.

Male Human Fighter

Following after the witch, Bron slower movement only takes him to the hallway, where he stops to make sure the group's flank is well guarded.

Moving to AG18

Male Human Fighter

Not spotting any other threats, Bron will ready his flail for anything threats that might show up.

Sorry for the delay in posting, been a hectic week of job interviewing.

Male Human Fighter

Seeing the tiefling falter boosts Bron's determination as he swings once again in an attempt to take the tiefling out.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Human Fighter

Once more, swinging his flail, with a determined look in his eye, Bron tries to connect with any part of the tiefling.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Male Human Fighter

Shaking his head a bit at the sound blow, Bron brings his own bludgeoning weapon to bear, letting the heavy metal ball swing through the air as he aims for the tieflings body.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Male Human Fighter

Responding to the death screams, Bron says, "No, but I sure hear something." As he starts to move down the corridor, pointing to Valeron to watch one of the side passages while he moves to another.

Initiative:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Double move to AF7 in case the tieflings try to go after Kev and Mor from behind.

Male Human Fighter

Following the Inquisitor's suggestion, Bron grips the haft of his flail tightly in hand as he counts the seconds in his head after the duo move back into the shrine. After ten seconds, Bron will move into the room, eyes alert and muscles slightly tensed and ready.

Male Human Fighter

"In that case, then I suggest we have a few act as the distraction while others move to the rear flanks ans attack from behind. Even with the aid of magic, I am sure that the tieflings will hear Valeron and me coming from quite a ways off. So let's use that to our advantage and let the stealthier ones get to an advantageous position," says Bron as he continued to check on his gear.

Male Human Fighter

Knowledge local:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Hmm, strange that THAT play would be coming back. Bron thinks to himself as he overhears Addie mentioning the play. However, with more pressing matters at hand, Bron says, "I have to agree that an attack now might be just what might catch them off guard."

Male Human Fighter

Having kept himself preoccupied with caring for Patch-eye and tending his own weapons, Bron keeps out of the way until the two return from their romp through the sewers. Rising when they enter, he simply nods in greeting as he listens to what the two had to tell.

Male Human Fighter

Feeling slightly uncomfortable without Path-eye or his armor, Bron does his best to blend in as they simply mingle with the people of Rego Cedar. Looking at the houses around the abandoned Temple, Bron will later recount to the others, "If we are going to involve the others of the resistance, maybe was can use all the surrounding buildings to our advantage. By stealth, we can try and take any Bastards who occupy those places then use them too spring a trap for any of the Bastards who try to make a break for it."

Male Human Fighter

Bron, listening to the plans already forming to tackle these "Bastards", decides to chip in with an idea of his own. "Maybe we can combine a few ideas. We have a better idea of where they make base. I'm all for the spring a trap, but how about we spent a bit more time in Rego Cedar and see if we can find our a bit more about how they work, their hierarchy and such. That would help us when we finally do confront them."

Male Human Fighter

Sorry about that, but Bron isn't one for letting someone push around a hardworking man who seems to just be doing what he can to protect himself and his family. He is part of the order of the Shield after all. Anyway, you can looks at my Diplomacy as an aid check on your previous roll since we are both trying to find out the same thing.

Male Human Fighter

The naturally intimidating cavalier, having stayed quiet thus far, letting the shopkeeper sweat, suddenly steps in, placing his hand on Morghrim's glaive and gently pushing it away. Then turning to the frightened shopkeeper, Bron says, "Listen, I understand you are scared for your family. But would you live in fear, while those above you walk all over hard-working men like yourselves, or wouldn't you rather help those willing to stand up and protect those things you consider of utmost value?" Then gently placing his hand on the man's shoulder, Bron says, "We are here to stop these bastards, who would see themselves overthrow the government, just to take its place. The question is, will you help us?"

Diplomacy:1d20 ⇒ 10

A bit of a stretch, but let's see how it goes.

Male Human Fighter

Listening to the dottari's words, Bron thinks for a moment Is there some connection between these Bastards and this Whitechin?

Once the group has left, Bron will ask those in the group, "Who are these Bastards of Cerebus and what's so important about them?"

Male Human Fighter

Once arriving back at the hideout, Bron makes sure that Patch-eye is properly seen too with a nice rubdown and plenty of food to eat. The strong stallion had done well and Bron was gonna see to it that Patch-eye knew as such. Once that was seen to, the cavalier returned to the main hall, where the others had gathered. Still feeling a little like an outsider, he asks, "So what of all this business with Whitechin? Was this just an attempt to win supporters or was there other motives behind this attack?"

At Arael's suggestion, Bron gives an approving look. Though he was no fan of goblins, the bugger did surrender and he was gonna see to it that the goblin got the fate the community decided for him. However, if the goblin caused trouble for any here, he would personally see to the critter's execution.

Male Human Fighter

Seeing Kevorin charging down the stairs, Bron spins on his heels and begins to move back out the door, shouting "Attack!" to Patch-Eye as he does. It is obvious that Bron's mercy to the common folk does not extend to goblinkind.

If Patch-eye sees the goblins, he will immediately move to attack one of them, trying to catch the little bugger with a bite.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

If Patch-eye sees one of the fleeing goblin, he will move to attack.

Male Human Fighter

Hearing the sounds of combat from above, Bron moves towards the stairs.

Double Move to G,2.

Male Human Fighter

Seeing the goblins retreat to the temple, Bron leads Patch-eye over to the entrance, sliding out of the saddle once he arrives.

Ride(quick Dismount):1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Once the cavalier's feet his the ground, he takes off, into the temple as he shouts "Guard!" back to his well-trained mount.

With quick Dismount success, Bron dismounts as the door and heads into the temple. Unsure how far he would be able to get, this is my first mounted character, so still learning.Do we record the mounts movement and Bron's movement as actions from separate individuals or as part of the same action?

Male Human Fighter

Bron charges from his place behind the wall, determined to take care of the only goblin left on the grounds around the temple. Moving south around the crumbled house, Bron whistles for Patch-eye, closing the distance with his horse and pulling himself into his saddle. He would act as the distraction while the others headed in to handle the goblins.

Ride for quick mount:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

However, still lacking the skill to climb into the saddle so quickly, Bron simple is able to climb into the saddle as he begins to spin the horse around, shield up on his left side, between the goblin archers and himself.

Move 20 feet closer to Patch-eye while Patch-eye closes the distance between Bron and himself. Bron will spend a second move action to get up into the saddle.

Male Human Fighter

Ahh, missed the part where he full retreated. Bron will instead move to behind the structure that is to the left of where he was to get some cover from the archers.

Male Human Fighter

Round 5: Grunting in pain, the tough cavalier does his best to ignore the hit as he advances on the little goblin, frustration building as it continues to evade his attacks.

Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Due to order ability, Born has taken 14 lethal damage and 1 non-lethal damage from the arrow attack.

Patch-eye whinnies as the wave of dark energy washes over him, however, the combat trained mount stands firm as he too presses the attack.

Will save:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Bite attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Male Human Fighter

With the appearance of the strange goblin, Bron slips out of Patch-eye's saddle as he points at the white bearded goblin and shouts, "Attack!"

With that, he spins on his heels as Patch eye takes off, swinging his flail at the crossbow wielding goblin as he does.

Ride for quick dismount:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Bron's attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Bron's damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

or

Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

If Ride check successful, advances on lone goblin and attacks. If not, then will attempt to intimidate instead.

Barreling down on the goblin leader, Patch-eye attempts to bite the goblin.

Patch-Eye Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Patch-Eye Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

moves to occupy squares 18,19;E,F and attempts to bite Whitechin

Patch-Eye Confirm threat:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Patch-Eye Critical damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Male Human Fighter

Round 3:
Coming up on the crossbow wielding goblin, Bron leans forward slightly with his knees, giving Patch-eye the signal to attack as he brings his flail to bear on the poor goblin.

Ride check to fight with a combat trained mount:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Bron's attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 Damage:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Patch-Eye's attack;1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

failed ride check so only Bron's attack counts.

Male Human Fighter

With the appearance of enemies on the ground, Bron launches himself into Patch-eye's saddle. then, spurring the horse towards the nearest target, Bron draws his flail, letting his knees do the steering as he prepares to intercept a goblin.

Ride for quick mount:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Ride for steering with no hands:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Quick mount roll failed, so cost a move action to mount so will take another move action to draw flail and advance on goblin.

Male Human Fighter

His first concern for Patch-eye, Bron drops the horses reins and shouts "Heel!" as he closes the distance, attempting to draw the horse into the temple and away from the goblin's arrows. Drawing his shield as he moves, he keeps his guard up as he takes a double move action to close the distance and enter the ruined temple to Erastil.

Double move action to move to G,15. Patch eye follows behind Bron.

Male Human Fighter

Not even attempting to be silent, Bron moves with the group, leaving Patch-Eye behind only when where the cavalier was moving to doesn't accommodate the horses weight.

Perception:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

However, that doesn't mean the large horse wasn't helping when he could. Patch-eye's eyes also stayed alert, the scent of goblin mingled with the smell of refuge telling him there might be goblins about.

Patch-eye's Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Male Human Fighter

Bron follows along, drawing an eye holding the reigns of Patch-eye. When asked why he brought his horse along, the cavalier simple responds, "Patch-eye goes where I go. Besides, if we are going up against goblins, what better way to rile them up than with a combat trained war horse stomping on them?"

For the most part, Bron remains quiet, not even trying to look intimidating when dealing with the merchants and common folk of this section of the city. Indeed, at times, the man could be seeing passing out an occasional copper to one of the street urchins who pass by.

Male Human Fighter

Smiling slightly, Bron says, "You could say we went through training together. His name is Patch-Eye and he left the same time I did..." Then as if remembering something that he had seemed to forget, "...And don't worry, he is a horse, just don't tell him that."

Male Human Fighter

"I accept your offer and though I do not know much, I will be glad to help anyway I can in teaching the methods of the Hell Knights, for to know your enemy helps in dealing with him." Bron resolves as he extends his own hand to those who offer theirs. "Actually, I haven't eaten but first I must ask, if it would be possible to bring a friend along? I left him at the inn to come here for the sake of discretion, however, it's not really fair of me to leave him there."
