"Sorry to see purple eye long shank lady smell like winter go. Bitey miss yet another friend..." That being said, if you ever need someone to chat with feel free to drop a line, and if you ever feel the need to get back in I will gladly add my voice as a yay on that vote.

A ceremony of knighthood. Bitey rises a knight of the crusade, maybe the only goblin knight that would ever be. The import of this was completely lost on the little nibbler. Bitey grins at all of the attention he is receiving until the halfling introduced herself. At the mention of her musical prowess Bitey perked up, an excited chattering coming to his lips. "Music lady know goblin songs? Bitey like sing bunches and bunches. We now good friends make music together, yes yes good friends now. Bitey be helping you with telling the stories, Bitey remember all the things an tell you all about Bitey fighting the demons. Bitey really good fighting the demons yes yes yes. Earn many chickens and cups beer. You like beer? Bitey like beer. You come drink with Bitey an we be good friends make much music scare demons.." Bitey excitedly runs up to shake the halflings hand, attempting to lead her to the bar so he can tell her all about his adventures with the shiny glow band of greatest crusaders ever. He had found his newest friend, and she would get barely a moments peace while they traveled together. A funeral for a friend. Bitey solemnly waits for the priest to finish his eulogy and then finds a quiet spot to watch as Iolaire is lowered into the ground. His little goblin mind races with half noticed scrabbling thoughts, barely pinned down long enough to be examined before being tossed back out as their sad musings played havoc with his normally cheerful mood. After all others had gone, Bitey slinked out to the newly filled grave. Dropping all pretense to common, Bitey dropped into the goblin of his birth as he stared down at his lost friend. Low and crude, the words sounded wrong in his mouth, but he knew no other way to express these thoughts. "Bitey fail you... Bitey fail red fur lady... Bitey fail to be noble type, fail to be hate fur scratch and bite dog... Bitey don't know how to be good at things no more. How Bitey be good if all go away in the end?" Bitey began to scratch at a portion of his costume before pulling the scratchy material away, removing the heavy chain and cloth thing and draping it over Iolaire's gravestone. Dropping into common, Bitey continues. "Bitey no deserve Nail Dog, so Nail Dog protect Smells like falling leaves now. Bitey be Sir Bitey now, Bitey promise plant girl he now do what she left undone. Bitey go bite demons so no more die because Bitey not good enough. Bitey promise to come back, tell you bout it." With his promise made, Bitey travels forth to fight those that keep stealing his friends away from him. A discussion of leadership. "Bitey lead maybe. Bitey know how fight good. Bitey show all how to bite. Or maybe good friend noble man complains lots? He can lead and show how lead for Bitey." Bitey nods sagely at his own words.

Bitey has lost many friends along the way, this has changed him from who he was before the ground fell away. He is still a hyper ball of energy and goodwill, but there is now a wistful sadness whenever he turns to tell smells of fox something she would find funny. His heart sinks a bit whenever he remembers that smells like trees is no longer beside him as they march out to war. The suit no longer fits as well, it itches and pinches now, and the barking no longer keeps back the loneliness as there is no pack left to run with. Ale and fried foods can no longer sate the ache he feels, and he now searches for something he does not know and can not speak. Bitey is no goblin, not a thing of petty hunger and chaotic pain, but neither does he belong among any other kind. A thing caught between worlds and powered by a fierce anger because of it. Now he must find his place among these people, find out if he can continue being the Nail Dog, the mascot, the clown... or find that he has become more when he was not looking for it. That answer your question boss?

Bitey perks back to wakefulness from the corner of the room. The mention of a meal brings the light back to his eyes as he surges to his feet. "Ooh ooh, food now, food now." After the Queen's speech. "Bitey go get sword from city yes yes. You gives Bitey much chickens and bready good goods yes?" Bitey excitedly says around a portion of food stuffed in his mouth.

Bitey stirs from his drunken stupor, roused by the commotion. He rises slowly and stumbles forward towards the new arrivals, each foot finding a little more strength until his stumble becomes a mad scramble to get to the newcomers. "Bark Bark, new peoples, woof woof yarp yarp yarp." Bitey bounds forwards on all fours, happy and excited by the prospect of new persons that may not know about his appetites. He could almost taste the new chances for treats. "Bitey so happy see new peoples bring much chickens and tasties for Bitey. Bitey is yours bestest friend of friends. You give Bitey the Horse Dog Lizard much in the munchens and crunchens yes Yes YES!!!"

So, I have tried to write a proper Bitey walks off into the sunset post for about a week now. This has not gone well. I think the problem is I don't want to let Bitey go. So, I am just going to bite the bullet and keep the one extra character going. Path guardian taking absorb blow and Sustenance because thematically appropriate. People just never give him that chicken he is sure he has been promised. Also

Glad you guys made your level and finished the first book. I am going to post a Bitey farewell post to give him a poignant sendoff and might check back if life gets a little less hectic, maybe you will be able to find it in your hearts to take the little rascal back.

I am having to do a hard thing. The hardest thing to do as a gamer I think. I am having to cut the number of games I am in. We recently had a tragic death befall the family, on top of an already expected loss. Add to that the youngest having to go back in for a surgery in a few weeks and I will not ha ve the time I need for all the games I am in. Thank you all for the time we have spent together, and happy gaming.

Well, if you insist. Bitey stands in dazed confusion at the bursts of a history he can neither understand nor truly care about. The visions pass through him as a tableau of history unasked for, and as quickly as it runs through his little squirming mind it is gone... only one thought remains... They Owe Me Chicken.

Acrobatics to avoid attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Bitey dives for the back dretch in an attempt to make himself the biggest target.

Arianna would have gotten sneak attack damage the last attack she did to, if Bitey has him grappled he is denied his dex. Bitey angrily strikes out again at the beast, attempting once more to pull it off balance. Grapple: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

3 rounds rage left. Bitey chews angrily at the beast, attempting to be as big of a nuisance as possible. AF: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Bitey leverages his foe off balance causing him to take a step forward as bitey moves back on all four limbs, teeth clamped hard into his foe. Small dog pulling a person by their leg. I'm assuming thrall rolls down to the open spot their so Bitey pulls the minotaur into combat range of everyone else.
