Paranoid, uncertain of his new allies, Beetly stays behind. It's hard to include him in any conversation, while he constantly observes everything and everyone.
Those who try to keep an eye on him, which is already pretty difficult, suddenly have it even harder. He's no longer sneaking on the ground, but flying under the ceiling while looking for the darkest spots to hide in.
If you can find him, he now has bat-like wings that make his appearance even more grotesque.

Basically out of nowhere, from a dark corner of the hall, another goblin appears. This one comes as ugly and as dirty as every story tells. His clothes are filthy and vermin crawl all over him. Weren't it for his defensive gesture, the dwarves in the room would instinctively attack him.

The hideous appearance is further increased by a dark, formless veil that swirls around the goblin, making him extra hard to pinpoint.
Beetly does wear some standard things like a cloak, gloves and boots, but despite a buckler that seems to be made of very shiny metal somewhere under a layer of dirt and some pityful spikes on a mini gauntlet, he's not dressed for war. That is obvious.

Beetly was following the Ironfang Legion undetected. When they entered the vault he stayed back and decided to investigate what they were up to afterwards. He would join the rest of the party somewhere in the beginning of the dungeon after he observed their honest intentions.

I'm going with Cha=self-confidence. Goblins were never a pretty race or a race that values physical beauty in the first place. But yes, he is also very caring, even if he would never admit it.

I never planned for a high stealth score, it suddenly was there.
Small, Racial bonus, high dex, competence bonus from his revelation armor, max ranks. After seeing this I simply took the revelation that gives me skill focus and signature skill and Hide in Plain sight later.

in the corner stands, hovers actually, a silent and almost invisible small goblin. The ugliest one you've ever seen. Mostly because of all the vermin that crawl over him. He says nothing, just watches.
