I'm running low on spells and spell pool guys, and girls
Argent pulls Unraveller whilst speaking the words of aegis. Creating black tendrils of energy to form around him cocooning his body in solid shadow. Unraveller sparks with unholy light as the smell of burnt pine and sulfur fill the air as he speaks the words of flame and agony to it. Sickly green flames ignite from the blade casting strange shadows that move of their own volition.

Looking angrily at the Rapier he procured from the Drow Argent tersely tosses it away saying "that was the best you could do hunh?!? What is wrong with you?? No warnings! No corecting me if I was a bit off with a strike or defense! Who'd want you?" then realizing he was yet again talking aloud to an inanimate object he quickly quieted himself. He then moves to Alric and almost grabs Unraveller out of habit pauses loooks him in the eye and says "May I please have him back? Now!?....Please" Almost looking like a child begging for a toy that is their favorite but have somehow misplaced. Reaching, but not grabbing, for the blade even before it's offered Argent gives a once over to each of his new companions saying "hello I am Argent Helllstrike! welcome to......I dunno....hell maybe?! Pleased to meet you!" Smiles at them for as long as could be considered polite (if it were not for the look of impatience in his eyes) then turn once more toward Alric.

Argent pushes power into the blade he is holding granting it a sharper edge and uncanny luck in finding an opening in armor and defense (+1 enchantment and Keen) he then invokes the word of frost wrapping it around his blade a split second before he makes two quick strikes at the Drider before him.

Sorry about the long absence lots of stuff In RL, but like an X-man it got better. :) After getting those accursed rings off Argent takes the most expedient route toward Unraveller with Thundrik. He also don's the ring of the overseer and commands the slaves to follow them thinking "At worst we have fodder that can save our lives at best we're heroes! Looks like a win-win to me!" Looking disdainfully at the Rapier he acquired he grumbles "look at you! You're so thin and fragile, and silent....I could deal with the rest but you're too d*** quiet. How am I supposed to trust a sword that doesn't speak its mind. Snapping back to reality suddenly he quiets hoping no one has heard the tirade he issued at an inanimate object for being inanimate. Argent hold his neck, looks at Thundrk and coughs out a hoarse "where the Hades were you. Uhhhh would you please stop kicking things...and people." He looks down at the Drow that was in charge grabs her Masterwork Rapier and her Prisoner control ring pauses and says "This should come in handy!? Argent quickly pockets the ring then begins to examine his and Thundriks rings with the serious intention of getting them off.

Space seems to warp and weft around Argent as Unraveler is once again united with him, however briefly. His right eye ignites into a bright light and looks almost crystalline. Argent throw his head back and laughs maniacally as he once again feel whole. The strikes at the guard then moves toward Unravelers true location.
Swift action: arcane pool to add Keen and frost to Unraveler.

Argent intones the incantation for acid this time channeling more power into it this incantation enveloping his pick in a glittering sheen of sickly looking colors that seems to simmer in the air of the mine he then strikes twice furiously at the chain with the force of a man possessed.

Argent gazes intently at the chain holding him and mutters the the incantation of frost using as little energy as possible in the hopes of making one of the links brittle. He then summons power into the pick that he is holding.

When it seems as though his friend is ready Argent looks fiercely at the guard as he approaches his infernal tattoo twinkles bitterly as a slight tear of blood trickles from his right eye. Evil Eye :DC15 I'm going for a -2 to skill checks on this one. If he fails it lasts 6 rounds if he saves it lasts one round.

As Thundrik and I return to work I make an effort to move the chain connecting us to rest upon the rocks we are mining/quarrying so he can have an easy target.I also eye the other member of our chained fellowship to appraise his condition and ability to help....or at least serve as a decoy/distraction.

Whispering Argent addresses his companion "Thundrik I can see almost nothing I suppose I will have to follow your lead again...just like...just like the first time we met. Hopefully the end result is a bit better this time."

Argent then almost swoons as the full weight of only having his own thoughts in his head comes crashing in in an undulating wave of confusion, doubt and despair. He begins almost frantically clawing at his side in the hopes that his visual sense might be betraying him and Uraveller was somehow unnoticed and still at his side but somehow silent. He looks at Thundrik and for the first time since they have known each other the Dwarf can see panic and fear in his friends eyes replacing Argents usual look of cool reserve and arrogance.

"I think we may need help with this old friend and I fear I may be less than helpful" Stopping short and giving the far away stare of a man who has all but lost hope he finally sputters "I'll need more luck than I have right to claim my friend...I feel I am lost" giving the chuckle of a man half mad and half morose Argent resumes his work in earnest hoping to mask the sound of metal striking against metal coming form Thundriks efforts.

He thinks to himself "Oh gods I have never given more than lip service before but in this my blackest hour I ask for deliverance from my captors so that I may lift the name Hellstrike high once more and change this bleak prophesy of the end of all things"

Argents resolve falters as he sees Thundrik fall (No heal skill to tell the difference between sleep poison and i'm dying poison) he sheaths Unraveller, apologizing profusely in his head before doing so, and says in a clear voice full of bile and contempt "I yield! Save the Dwarf and I shall surrender peacefully!" He then moves to Thundrik to try something, anything, to help his friend. He looks at the Drow priestess once more a burning glare of hate in his eyes. In his mind he says to Unraveller "We both shall taste her blood before the end times, and wear her entrails as raiment! This I swear to you on my honor as a Hellstrike!" With that he nicks his finger on Unravellers edge sealing the oath with his own blood.(1pt of damage. so I'm at 20HP)

He runs at the Drow leader brandishing his blade which he lets it fall to the ground and amazingly it falls through leaving ripples as if it had pierced water. This right eye glows a sickly green as he say "slay Unraveller" in a whisper that is somehow heard by all. and in that instant unraveller is reformed in his hands as if it had never left save for the almost shimmering quality of the blade. He strike at the Drow unleashing his full might.

Mass saves?

Just means the DM rolls for us in the same post as the effect we are saving against as it cuts down time and streamlines play a bit. It's not really a biggie considering we're already pretty much sharing dice by using the roller (yes I have dice superstitions.lol)

A peace bonded weapon has its hilt and scabbard bound together with wire or string so it cannot be drawn without first undoing the binding. Yeah I figured since he was a noble it'd be second nature to peacebond his weapon in civilized areas. Sorry I'm kinda useless for my first round though. I'll make up for it by attempting something "special" for the next round. :)

BACKGROUND : Argent was born the son of a minor noble family and expected to excel. Unfortunately in his early life he had niether the focus or drive to do so. He showed aptitude in the mystic arts and was entered into a magic academy and kicked out soon after for pulling pranks on the staff and students. Later he was entered into a military academy only to be kicked out after sleeping with his drill instructors daughter. Soon after his family disowned him, but not before he absconded with his grandfathers sword. Wandering the world with no real money or ties he soon found he need some form of income. Realizing that he really only had a patchwork skill set he decided to rely on them both to make ends meet somehow. After several months of aimless wandering Argent found an adventuring party seeking fame and fourtune in the small town he stumbled upon and latched on to them. They taught him the basics of what it meant to be an adventurer and he helped in anyway he could.After several outings with this party he realized his skill set while diverse could be combined to be more effective than the sum of its parts. He bagan training in earnest to expand his prowess and was more than a little successful at this endeavor. Unfortunately shortly afterwards tragedy struck and his party (which he still never speaks of to this day)was eliminated in a mine they had sought to liberate for the small Dwarven community that Thundrick had called home. Thundrick saved Argent that day leading him out of the mines in an uncharacteristic bout of altruism earning the humans loyalty and trust. Argents survival has scarred him and he has remained dark and sullen ever since blaming himself for the deaths of his friends and his failure to secure the mine.The experience in the mine also changed him on asupenatural level leaving small runic tattoo-like marks under his right eye. He has since learned to channel power from this mark using it to curse his enemies. Argent is very protective of those he travels with, a perfectionist, and somewhat paranoid (even for an adventurer). He has arrived in this new place seeking a new party to continue his trade an adventurer and seeks a new party of companions to travel with. He also seeks to
gain fame so far and wide it shames his family into acknowldging him once more.

Description: Argent is an attractive Human male with bone white hair, Blues eyes and a copper cast to his otherwise pale skin. His clothing tends to be elaborate affairs of silk and leather. The area directly under his right eye has writ in tiny silver letters the infernal word for Savior. He always dresses in the color blue as it it the color of house Hellstrike of which he is very proud of even though h is disowned. (he looks a lot like ky kiske with the exception of skintone, hair color and the runic/infernal tattoo. Also his
colors are reversed) a pic is here.

Argent in the throes of being berated by Unraveler doesn't even notice Casvian until he adresses the salesman which startles Argent causing him to leap away bumping into a passing patron. Argnet smiles sheepishly and sputters out something that sounds remarkably like an appology but not terribly like proper common. he gathers himself and then says to the person he bumped into "I do apologize I thought I err..I slipped!?". He then turns and slinks back to the salesman trying to look nonplussed and failing miserably.

Argent sucks his teeth at what the barkeep said knowing deep down that he could not have know how deeply the comment would wound him and says "I meant no harm merely harmless flirting. I do apologize if I have offended."
Unraveler (His sword) on the other hand screams inside of Argents head "Teach that commoner his place boy! Does he not know he speaks to a member of the Hellstrike family! We have forged this world into what it is! There would be.."
Argent cut Unraveler off mid-sentence saying aloud "and that's why it's ending!" In such a way that he seemed to still be addressing the barkeep. "Again friend barkeep I was only trying to get different food as I have a delicate constitution and the general fare here is somewhat harsh to both my stomach and palate. I did not wish to offend." and bows respectfully while mentally shouting at Unraveler "one word about peasants and I'll be keeping you in the scabbard and unpolished for a week!!!"
He begins to eavesdrop on the conversation between the salesman and the gnome perception roll of 2+0=2.

Between the flirting with the barmaid (who obviously hasn't been flirted with in some time)and making small talk with Thundric Agent occasionally looks at the hilt of his sword and mumbles.

whispered at his swordNo I don't care that you want to be out. It's illegal to not have you peace-bonded while were in civilized areas! yeah ok I'll polish you tonight and I'll pay extra attention to the finish. Also you comment about the girl was uncalled for!

He continues to nurse his mead (if you can call it that)wishing it were wine...good wine. Argent mused that he missed being wealthy, but he quickly dismissed that thought. He would make a name for himself and then they would all recognize him as the rightful he thought. Shaking his head to enable his escape from the depths of his thoughts. He once more concentrated on the real world....and of course his flirting.

Taking the barmaid (name) aside he says "could you get me something to eat and not the stuff that's being served but the stuff you and the owner eat. I'd be ever so appreciative luv!" When she leaves to procure whatever it is he'll be eating Argent approaches "The salesman" and says "Good sir where is this treasure you speak? And if it is also attached to fame we (unconsciously patting his sword) may be able the come to an agreement."

Yay team gish! lol. Yeah but we'll have to play really smart with no real healing. I'll work on my profile to clean it up a little more. Also I'm all for group XP it just makes things easier. I'll also be working on an expanded back-story as I just wrote a bare-bones one in the initial and secondary post. It will more than likely be done by the morning. In addition do we know each other before the game begins? What are the Names of the major powers/organizations/governments/etc in the area we'll be starting in?

UltimaGabe I think your character is fine. I think we'll do alright with UMD and a or two Wand of Cure XXX.

BACKGROUND : Argent was born the son of a minor noble family and expected to excell.
Unfortunately in his early life he had niether the focus or drive to do so. He showed aptitude in the mystic arts and was entered into a magic academy and kick out soon after for pulling pranks on the staff. Later he was entered into a military academy only to be kicked out after sleeping with his drill instructors daughter. Soon after his family disowned him, but not before he absconded with his grandfathers sword. Wandering the world with no real money or ties he soon found he need some form of income. Realizing that he really only had a patchwork skill set he decided to rely on them both to make ends meet somehow. He found an adventuring party seeking fame and fourtune in the next town and latched on to them. They taught him the basics of what it meant to be an adventurer and he helped in anyway he could.
After several outings with this party he realized his skill set while diverse could be combined to be more effective than the sum of its parts. He bagan training in earnest to expand his prowess and was more than a little successful at this endeavor. Unfortunately shortly afterwards tragedy struck and his party (which he still never speaks of to this day)was eliminated in a mine they had sought to liberate for a small Dwarven community. His survival has scarred Argent he has remain dark and sullen ever since blaming himself for the deaths of his friends. He is very protective of those he travels with, a perfectionist, and somewhat paranoid (even for an adventurer). He has arrived in this new place seeking a new party to continue his trade an adventurer and seeks a new party of companions to travel with. He also seeks to gain fame so far and wide it shames his family into acknowldging him once more.
