Ah, excellent.

If somebody wants to undertake way too much effort, they could list all the pawns/minis needed at all subtiers in a GM thread :D

(I'm leaving home a week before the con so have to know what to bring with me by then. And to think there was a time when I could bring *all* my pawns to PaizoCon....)

I'm hoping to play high tier. I've got three 10th level characters to pick from (Barbarian, Cleric or Wizard). Please, oh please, let there be a smart, fun group of high level players I can join.

I'm kind of wondering how tables are mustered for this myself. Is there somewhere for us to sign up with a specific character?

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

In years past, what tends to happen is you show up some time before it starts. They divide the hallway by tiers. If you can find a group of people at your subtier, go tell the muster person, and you'll be shunted to a table. Eventually, the muster folks will start calling out levels and collecting people to send to tables.

The Exchange

Best to decide on the level/character you wish to play and find others at the same level. Find a table/group of 6 players and talk about your characters/tactics while waiting to be seated.

Grand Lodge

I will be attending with my Fighter/Cleric level 3 atm but possibly level 4 come Sunday

Running tier 5-6 (allegedly)... this is going to be fantastic.

Grand Lodge

Well kiddies, unfortunately all I have are 1st LV so if there's anyone out there that wants to play low let me know. Otherwise I'm cool with a pre-gen.

My first pfs special as well. Looking forward to it!!

Lucius will be IN THE HOUSE!!!

All you bad guys, be ready... I am the baddest rat in the inner sea region, and you WILL be serving me if you cross my path. I'll have the [REDACTED] and the [REDACTED] ready for your enforced servitude.

But don't you all fret! There will be PLENTY of love to spread around.

Luscious Lucius Vizzini, the Love Wizard, the Rat Pimp, the Matchmaker of the Moment!

Grand Lodge

Will Lucious be bringing the purple pimp hat? I love the purple pimp hat.

Hmm

Grand Lodge

As much as I wanted, I could never bring myself to make a Ratfolk Wizard.
The only +2 INT with a -2 STR. The perfect Wizard race.
Couldn't do it.
.

But Luscious Lucious?....

Can't wait to meet him!....

"Hey Brother Luscious, you gots my bubble-liscious brew of Bull's Strength or am I a'gonna have to give you anotha limp lash?"

Liberty's Edge

DO NOT APPROACH THE RATMAN. DO NOT MAKE THUNDERLIPS! GIVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO THINK ABOUT THE ERRORS OF YOUR WAYS.

SQWAUCK!

Liberty's Edge

YOU SAID IT, THUNDERCOCK!

Hey, baby, that can be arranged! You and I could make great business partners! And more!

No, the purple hat won't be traveling... it has gotten too beat up on other events. But Lucius is still just as luscious as always! And, why would I be doing bulls strength? That isnt real power, the real power is in the mind.
You tell him THUNDERLIPS!

And, Marzie, baby, you know you love us!

This is an all-singing musical event, right?

Let's just say, "no!"

And the rat's hat was left at home, as it should be, in deference to Officer Gunderson's SWAT baseball cap.

Grand Lodge

So frivolous - the opportunity to learn from these exhibits is unprecedented. I marvel that the Blakros were even able to acquire them...

There is too much merriment in this thread. I demand you cease at once and recognize that we are Pathfinders and have a code of conduct we adhere to.

Dark Archive

Explore, report, cooperate?
I am best st the last of these, of course. I make our enemies cooperate

Hey, baby, Ursula, you wouldn't look half bad if a smile cracked that face of yours! I know a couple of folks that would pay good money for you to.... rough them up... as it were.

You have a table set up yet? We could use one more at high tier, if you'd like.

Liberty's Edge

If you would like...rat...I'll gladly show you my armor spikes.

If you wish to infer something from this statement, that is your prerogative. You will be disappointed, I will not.

Woran wrote:

Not only will this be my first special, it will be my first PFS game.

Spoiler:
Technically not true... I played in a local PFS event back in 2011. (The scenario was "Mists of Mwangi.") The other players and GM were some of the most obnixious people I'd ever met, and I was having such a lousy time that I walked out of the game after about 90 minutes. Never tried PFS again...until now!

My exact words were rat. I did not include the man as I am fairly sure he not deserving of that moniker.

Liberty's Edge

RAT JUST ONE WORD UNLESS YOU IKNOW SOMETHING THUNDERLIPS! DOES NOT. WHICH IS POSSIBLE. THUNDERLIPS! HAS AN ADMITTEDLY SMALL UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORLD.

ALSO, UH... THUNDERLIPS! PRETTY SURE RATMAN IS... UH... YOU KNOW...UM...

THUNDERLIPS! GLAD HE NEVER SEE MAN RAT ON RATMAN.

THUNDERLIPS! IS GOING TO GO NOW.

Liberty's Edge

The Master of Swords was wise to bench you on this mission.

Not yet. I was hoping to get into tier 10-11 with my witch as she's my first PFS character. I had hoped it would get her to lvl12 too, but I wont play any high lvl games at the con. 11.2 is excelent too :)

Dark Archive

Well, I think you will know what you are in for, Woran, if you were to join the rather raucous MSP group. A good time, and perhaps a little drinking.

If you think you can handle that, by all means!

Dark Archive

I have an 11 Dawnflower Dervish Bard/Evangelist or a 10 Cartomancer Witch/Harrower I'd be looking to play at this. Just sayin'

Oh, no. No no no. It is the other way around. I shall bring Riddywhipple.

We may have three then.

Yeah, babies, I have learned a new spell, duplicate familiar, and Riddywhipple, the Pimp Dragon, has been bugging me to try it. I just cannot say no forever to the little guy, now can I?

Did anyone else just arrive at 7pm to be told as the doors are shutting that it's a Starfinder special at PaizoCon and not Pathfinder?

I was saddened that there was such an underestimation of how many level 10-11 tables would be wanted. I understand that some GMs were asked to move up to the higher level, but I hate to do that to more GMs than necessary, so I just played down at 5-6.

That being said, I had a great time at my table. The fact that the adventure spanned several days made it much friendlier to low level casters than prior specials, so that was welcome.

That's weird. I don't know what that might have referenced.
