I created Xyzexius on Starbuilder (Pathbuilder), and noticed a few discrepancies in their build.

I googled to see if there was any errata regarding the discrepancies...

In the Starfinder 2e Rescue on Raxil adventure, is there errata for the pre-gens' statisitics?

@GM/other players: If you give me the until Tuesday, I can created the other four pre-gens on Starbuilder as well (and make note of any discrepancies for their type-ups as well).

As for the discrepancies for Xyzexius (that I have noticed thus far):

They have 1 remaining trained skill slot.

Their Perception modifier should be +7 (not +6).
Their Fortitude save should be +9 (not +7).
Their skill modifier for Sports Lore should be +5 (not +6).
Their skill modifier for Nature should be +5 (not +6).

In the type-up in "Other Abilities", Indomitable Self is listed (could not find that - I think it should be Stellar Resilience (which is not on the type-up, which is the 3rd level solarian class feature).

(I have not verified this result of the google result ===> if it is accurate, then Pathbuilder/Starbuilder has not been updated yet regarding the errata that ammo clips for chem tanks have 10 charges instead of 8).

note: on Xyzexius' SB sheet I renamed the Commercial Battle Ribbon to Commercial Battle Ribbon (upgraded to Tactical due to Duo-Enhancers).

I did another relevant google search as well.

For Starfinder 2E adventures for SFS, what are GMs and players to do when the statistics for a pre-gen are not correct, use the incorrect pre-gen stats or use the correct stats that result from the pre-gen's character build?

First AI-generated response to Query, which contradicts the second (which I generated when I clicked on the link when I was in preview mode for this message):

AI Overview

For Starfinder Society (SFS) Second Edition, GMs and players must use the printed statistics as they are written on the pre-generated character sheet, even if those stats contain typos or do not perfectly align with the character's underlying mechanical build.

The Starfinder Society Guide to Organized Play mandates specific protocols to handle these discrepancies uniformly across all tables.

Core Protocols for SFS Pre-Gens

Play the Sheet as Written: Do not manually rebuild the character or recalculate numbers mid-session to "correct" them against the rulebook rules.

Official Errata Exception: You may only alter a pre-gen's statistics if Paizo explicitly publishes an official errata, FAQ, or direct campaign update changing that specific character's sheet.

Table Consistency: Keeping the sheet unmodified ensures a standardized, fair play experience for all global Organized Play participants.

Report Errors: If you discover a math mismatch or build illegality on a pre-gen sheet, play through the session using the printed numbers and report the error to the Paizo Organized Play forums so developers can fix it in a future PDF update.

The AI-generated result that I got when I clicked on the link above while in preview mode, which contradicts the other one (This one is the one that would ensure that all pre-gens match up properly to a character that was built using the pre-gens' character builds, which would not have incorrect calculations):

AI Overview

In Starfinder Society (SFS) Second Edition, players and GMs should use the correct statistics that result from the pre-generated character’s actual build math and official errata, rather than using the incorrect numbers printed on a flawed sheet.

Under Paizo Organized Play policy, character sheets must always be mechanically legal. The standard practice for addressing errors on pre-gen sheets includes the following steps:

What Players & GMs Must Do

Prioritize the Build Math: If a pre-gen sheet contains an error (such as a missing attribute modifier to damage, an incorrect proficiency bonus, or a miscalculated Armor Class), you must use the mathematically correct values dictated by the rules.

Apply Latest Errata: Starfinder 2E regularly updates its rules through Official Errata Waves. If an errata update changes a class feature or feat used by a pre-gen, the player must use the updated, correct rules during play.

Recalculate on the Fly: Players and GMs are explicitly authorized to calculate modifiers directly on the sheet to ensure they reflect accurate character creation rules.

Audit Digital Platforms: When using digital toolsets like Demiplane's Starfinder Nexus, check if the system has already auto-corrected the pre-gen stats to match correct game mechanics.

Summary of Differences

Action [Policy Status] [Reason]

Using Printed (Incorrect) Stats [❌ Not Allowed] [Violates Society rules on maintaining legal character records.]

Using Corrected Build Stats [Required] [Ensures fairness and consistency across all Organized Play tables.]

I suggest refreshing your browswer a few times to see the various contradicting results.

@GM: What do you want us to use: the incorrect calculations of the pre-gens' type-ups or the correct math calculations for their character builds?

If the correct calculations, which skill should I add as a trained skill for Xyzexius (for being doubled on Athletics from their background and class)? ==> I suggest Acrobatics, which makes sense to complement his Athlete background and his flamboyant ("Xyzexius has made a name for themself as a flashy, daring fighter.") style (which includes the trained-only Acrobatics action, Maneuver in Flight).

My understanding has always been that we run the pregens as written, acknowledging that there might be errors - since if we fix them, then they are no longer, technically, the pregenerated PCs.

This has been a known intermittent issue with pregens, going back as far as Paizo has been making them!

I will update Xyzexius' Starbuilder character sheet (in the notes section) with the discreprancies from the type-ups over the weekend.

@other players: For ones of you who would like me to create your pre-gens on Starbuilder (Pathbuilder 2E), depending on my time, I might leave the notes section blank for you to add in the discepancies from the type-ups for the pre-gens, and if so, you would have to add them in so you have a reference for when you should be using the incorrect math calculations from the pre-gen type-ups).

Regarding Xyzexius' " overtly romantic and prone to grand gestures":

Feel free to let me know if you have any specific filters you would like me to apply.

I am going to try to keep the following characters from tv shows in mind when my posts include such words/actions.

The generic Looney Tunes (20th century-era, as I am not that familiar with all the significant changes that have altered their shows during the last three decades.

The Animaniacs (original show) sans shouting "Hello, nurse!" of course. :)

Jack from Will and Grace (from what I can recall of the character)

Cam from Modern Family

Please suggest any other such characters from tv shows you think match up with Xyzexius' personality.

From Stichvine RS's Pre-gen type-up: "already used their mystic bond ability to form a bond with the other characters."

Best (trained) Medicine checks of the group:

Stitchvine RS +9 (trained) (has commercial medkit)
Takkar +8 (trained) (has commerical medkit)

Best (untrained) Medicine checks of the group:

Kahalara +0 (does not have medkit)
Xyzexius +0 (has commercial medkit)
Raluraz -1 (does not have medkit)

* * *

Current hit points (Raluraz took an additional 1d6 persistent poison damage before making the flat check):

Takkar (-26, Enfeebled 1 for 1 hour)
Absolute Zero Security System (4 successes)
Stitchvine RS (-24)
Kahalara (-1)
Xyzexius (-8, Enfeebled 1 for 1 hour)
Raluraz (-24, 1d6 Persistent Poison, Enfeebled 1 for 1 hour)

* * *

I suggest the following for 10-minute Medicine (Treat Wounds) checks that only Stitchvine RS and Takkar are capable of making (if doing 10 minute Treat Wounds and not 1 hour Treat Wounds:

1st 10 minutes:

Stitchvine RS treats wounds of Stitchvine RS (-24 hp) (potential to regain 2-24 hp back)
Takkar treats wounds of Takkar (-26 hp) (potential to regain 2-26 hp back)

2nd 10 minutes:

Stitchvine RS treats wounds of Raluraz (-24 hp - 1d6 hp) (potential to regain 2-30 hp back)
Takkar treats wounds of Xyzexius (-8 hp) (potential to regain 2-8 hp back)

* * *

Though the option exists to double restored hit points if spending 1 hour instead of 10 minutes/check, I do not think any of our team would want to delay longer than doing the shorter (10 minutes/check) to patch up our wounds before pressing on.

But how low/high the restored hp rolls are are imprortant factors...

Stichvine RS has Battle Medicine!!

Updated Treat Wounds Healing hit points suggested plan

Stichvine RS does Battle Medicine on the three badly injured PCs (Raluraz, Stichvine RS and Takkar) in order of who is the most damaged.

Stitchvine RS's first Battle Medicine check on Raluraz (before they take their next (and last) persistent 1d6 poison damage).
Stitchvine RS's second Battle Medicine check on Takkar.
Stitchvine RS's third Battle Medicine check on Stitchvine RS.

Potentially Stitchvine RS using a 2-action Heal spell to heal an additional 2d8+16 hp to heal the worst injured OR using a 3-action Heal spell first (2d8 hp) back to all of PCs, potentially followed up by a 2-action Heal for the targeted 2d8+16 hp back to worst injured after Battle Medicine & burst (3-action) Heal.

Depending on results of Battle Medicine (and potential Heal spells), taking one or two 10-minute time chunks for Stitchvine RS and Takkar to Treat Wounds (as above).

* * *

Stitchvine RS also has Mystic Bond (and Vitality Network)!!

Mystic Bond:

Mystic Bond

You form a bond between yourself and others, most typically your closest companions. Forming bonds is different for every mystic but always involves using a 10-minute activity related to the mystic's connection that requires you to be adjacent to the creature with whom you wish to bond. You can maintain a bond with up to 10 other willing creatures, and the bond lasts until you or the bonded creature are no longer willing to be part of the bond. You are always considered part of your own bond and don't count toward the 10-creature limit.

You always know the general distance and direction toward other bonded creatures, their Hit Point totals, and if they're conscious, unconscious, dying, or dead. This ability doesn't work across planes (including when in transit in the Drift), and some special magical or technological effects might interfere with your ability to detect your allies.

Vitality Network (Stitchvine RS has 18 hit point maximum):

Your soul supports a network of energy that connects and heals those in your bond. Your vitality network has a maximum capacity equal to 6 + 4 Hit Points per level. You gain the Transfer Vitality action that you can use to take Hit Points out of your network and into yourself or your allies as healing.

Life-and-death situations help strengthen your bonds with your allies. At the start of each turn in combat, when you regain actions, your vitality network regains 4 Hit Points; if you're master in spell DC, it regains 6 Hit Points instead; if you're legendary, it regains 8 Hit Points. When you Refocus, your vitality network regains all its Hit Points.

◆ Transfer Vitality

Transfer Vitality:

You can transfer up to 10 Hit Points (minimum 1) from your vitality network into yourself or a bonded creature you can sense within 60 feet. This works on creatures with void healing as though this action had the void trait. The amount you can transfer increases by 10 at 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th level.

Updated Healing Plan suggestion

Round 1:

Stichvine

◆ Transfer Vitality (Raluraz regains 10 hit points, Vitaltiy network 18 -> 8 hp]
◆ Battle Medicine (Takkar)
◆ Battle Medicine (Raluraz)

Round 2:

Vitality Network (8 + 4 hp = 12 hp) (as Raluraz is still taking persistent poison damage, so high-stress 'combat' situation not resolved yet)
◆ Transfer Vitality (who ever is worse wounded between Raluraz or Takkar, who have both benefitted from Battle Medicine; Vitality Network
◆ Battle Medicine (Stitchvine RS)

(1st) 10 minutes:

Takkar: Treats Wounds (Takkar - Xyzexius would insist his partner patches himself up first before the others)
Stitchvine RS: Treat Wounds (Raluraz)

(2nd) 10 minutes:

Takkar: Treat Wounds (Stitchvine RS)
Stitchvine RS: Refocus (to refill Vitality Network to full)

No, I have not made all the decisions. My previous post includes suggestions, not the decisions (of the group or any character aside my own - which I roleplayed that in gameplay), to make use of our group's abilities/resources the most effectively. This is the discussion tab, not the gameplay tab.

Some of the players (edit: I started this SF2E PBP about the same time as 2 other SF2E PBP games, I do not recall for sure which of the three SF2E PBP games players mentioned being new/relatively new to SF2E - grimdog73 mentioned this is his third PBP for SF2E, and he has only used pre-gens for them so far) have mentioned it being their first SF2E experience (and I do not know how much PF2E experience they have), so some of the players might not be that familiar with the benefits of the Battle Medicine skill feat and/or Mystic Bond/Vitality Network class features.

I also do not know how well each of us knows our individual pre-gen's abilities interact/have potential synergies with each other. Without reading Stichvine's pre-gen type-up I would have guessed the others might have been part of their mystic bond, but Xyzexius might not have been since this is the first time Stichvine RS and Xyzexius have met (so that info reveals by the time the adventure begins the mystic bonding has already been done to include all the PCs in Stitchvine's mystic bond/vitality network).

i.e. In one ten-minutes of exploration mode, Stichvine RS could Refocus (regaining all the hit points in their vitality network) OR Medicine (Treat Wounds) (or another exploration activity). Since Stitchvine RS is not the only PC that is trained in Medicine (and thus able to restore hit points to our PCs), Takkar could be providing hp recovery during 10 minutes of (out of combat) while Stitchvine RS could be recharging their vitality network (which increases our group's ability to be healed during combat, in addition to (once per day per PC) Battle Medicine and Heal spells. As there are 5 PCs, in 3 (10 minute) exploration mode, that is 5 Medicine (Treat Wounds) and 1 Refocus (recharge Vitality Network) for best use of healing outside of combat (without using spell slots or using daily uses of Battle Medicine) - aka good strategy.

* *

Please try to remember, going forward, that when players post stuff in discussion, it might be suggestions (like my post you posted in reponse to is) as opposed to being a post telling others how to roleplay their characters (which you made the incorrect assumption that I was doing that wth my previous post).

Just to keep things relatively even-keeled, I thought I should mention that I can see both sides, here - Drake, I am certainly one for appreciating efficiency - I can see that is what you were shooting for, in terms of post-combat healing.

That said, I can also see how a huge block of text, with specific instructional breakdowns, could be interpreted as orders for how thing should go - I appreciate that is not how you intended it, though!

Tone can sometimes be a bit difficult to grasp outside IRL (I know I have certainly been blind-sided by it in the past), so what was intended as a 'hey, this would be the most efficient way to get thing done, what do you think?' can be wildly misinterpreted.

The important thing is that we are all trying to have fun :-)

I'll wait for Stitchvine to post what they actually do, before narrating the next section.

Both 20 and 24 are (non-critical) successes. The 24 was one away from a critical success. For critical successes for Treat Wounds, you roll 4d8 instead of rolling 2d8 and doubling the result. On succesfull roll, the person doing the Treating Wounds (and the patient of course) can spend 1 hour (instead of 10 minutes) and if they do so, the amount of hit points rolled on the 2d8 (or 4d8) is doubled.

The target of Treat Wounds becomes immune to Treat Wounds for an hour. This is kept track of separately for the Treat Wounds use of Battle Medicine.

A successful Treat Wounds check removes the Wounded condition, but Battle Medicine does not remove the Wounded condition.

A critical failure on a Medicine (Treat Wounds) check results in the target taking damage (1d8).

@Grimdog73: Roll 2d8 for each of the two successful Medicine (Treat Wounds) rolls you made in gameplay, Takkar. :)

Only one person can treat a specific indivual with Treat Wounds (excluding Battle Medicine), as the target becomes temporarily immune to Treat Wounds for an hour (60 minutes, not 70 minutes).

Aside Battle Medicine, the only other ways I recall that changes the 60 minute cooldown are:

The Continual Recovery medicine skill feat.

The Medic archetype gives the ability for the medic to use battle medicine an individual more than the default maximum of once per day.

The battle medic's baton magic item makes the cooldown for Battle Medicine to be 1 hour instead of 1 day.

Apologies for the double-post in gameplay (I wanted the added info I added in to be in same post for the relevant context, and with the bad luck I was having with clipboard not working correctly, needed to make the double post (with the addtional info in it) since the edit timer on initial post expired due to taking the time to make the post asking GM to wait before moving on).

I made the posts in gameplay as opposed to Discussion to prevent potential of the relevant posts to what is going on in-game currently not being seen in time.
