Kaleena snatches the flag and passes the dummy obstacle with Damiel. Final flag is carried by Skagit, the bat familiar of one of the event organizers flying above your heads. A competitor can steal Skagit’s flag with a successful DC 18 disarm or steal combat maneuver check, or by otherwise taming or immobilizing the wily creature.
Gerherd tries to follow his comrades, but falls cursing his bad luck.

Glorin pulls forward, then says, "We don't need the walkway, the cliff face will work better."
Keeping the rope taut, he steps off the beam and swings down to climb up the cliff face held by the rope.
Climb: 1d20 + 12 - 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 12 - 5 + 1 = 10
Given that Climb with rope and wall is DC 5, that should be a double time move unless I roll a 1.

On the beam? My intention was never to climb back on the beam, but on the rocks on the far side where the rope was tied off. Getting back on the beam is a fool's errand.

I think there's a bit of confusion -- a few posts up, GM Mustaparta said that climbing the cliff face would be DC 30... but I think he means to go all the way to the top would be DC 30, so he was assuming you were using the beam instead. However I think what Glorin is trying to do is just climb horizontally-- get past the beams and catch up to the rest of us. Would that be feasible at a lower DC, GM?
on my phone right now but I'll post properly soon

Climbing a sheer cliff face by itself is DC 30, but climbing a wall with a rope attached to the top so you can brace yourself against the wall is DC 5. Would that be the confusion?

With Kaleena capturing the final flag, Erna concedes. "It was a fair and fun contest! We are honored to have competed against you guys."
Winning the respect of Davarn’s residents and their rival team, you have a +2 circumstance bonus on all Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks in Davarn for the next week.

Dorn seems to have a bit of difficulty registering that the contest is completed and that these people are no longer the enemy, but rather, just friendly competitors. A wild glint in his eye, the heavily scarred dwarf starts to advance towards the enemy who just tried to steal the flag from him....
Therin's words cut across his haze and he jerks out of it with a throat clearing. "Eh. Yeh. Drinks."
Dorn silently gathers his rope back up and replaces it into his pack. He seems vaguely disappointed he didn't get to shove someone into the water, but so it goes.

Kaleena slaps Dorn on the shoulder after the victory announcement and whispers in his ear "thanks to you 'n me for not being focused on books like some of the other coal chewers... and thanks to Therin for 'carrying' the rest of the party ha ha ... was all in fun though" and she joins the others praising them for their resilience in the face of such tough physical odds. "I believe someone said sumthun about whiskey...?"

Davarn’s Spring and Fall Festivals both conclude with large, public feasts in the market square alongside musical performances and speeches from various important locals. Dinner, served across dozens of buffet tables, consists of mushroom dishes, hearty breads, and beer from downside as well as roast boar, game hens, and fresh greens from the surface. Most attendees bring out their own tables or spread blankets on the cobblestones, and festival-goers wander from blanket to blanket, saying their final goodbyes and sharing one last drink before returning to the trade routes or their everyday tasks.
You're invited to join Mayor Bensik at her table as honored guests, sitting with local officials as well as Erna Stoneheart, who attends as guard captain rather than a competitor. Erna invited her cousin, the merchant Lukher Stinnison Picture on slide 4 to join, but he declined.
Screams of terror rise from the picnic area near the market square’s far end. A dwarf dressed in a Davarn guard uniform runs into the pavilion and calls to Erna Stoneheart. “Captain, come quickly, they have Lukher!” Grabbing her axe she follows the guard back into the crowd toward the screaming people. Four skeletal warriors have already defeated Erna’s guards and are dragging Lukher east into the winding streets of Davarn.

Kaleena jumps to action much like the others. She looks at the new adversaries and detects something she shares with the others.
"Each one of them-these-here undead still bears one of them flaming double-headed waraxe insignia thingies on its tattered uniform, which we all know belongs to the house of Lady Dilbert...or Delbara or sumthing like that"
She then grabs her gear, checks her musket and follows Glorin.
"if they are indeed undead then methinks youra gunna earn your keep there Therin"

Dorn has retreated back into near-silence after the conclusion of the contest. He takes his drink and sits as much as possible with his back to a wall, nursing his ale and watching his fellow Pathfinders and pretty much everyone else a bit warily over the top of his stein.
The call to action seems to relieve the scarred dwarf. He sighs almost-happily, puts the mug down half-drunk, snatches up his pack, and starts towards the trouble without a second glance back for the feast.
"Skullies! Good for crackin'," he snarls. Kaleena's observation about their insignia is no doubt valuable, but it means nothing to him. Skullies are Good for Cracking.
