[PF2 / Farol] Little trouble in Big Absalom (Inactive)

As I prepare this short adventure, feel free to talk about the characters. Above, I added the link to pregens. If you want, you can pick one of them, if you prefer to create your own PC feel free. The only limit is that it has to be Kobold, and ideally if it would be from Hookclaw or that you describe how do you know it, and why you would be invited to their expedition. It will take me couple of days to get things ready.

I've set up also RPGChronicle link for later on to pass chronicles. Keep in mind that despite this adventure being similar to head-shot the rot and others it grants only 1 XP, but still 4 rep and 8 bundles + 8 days of downtime. So It may give you plenty of money, if anyone cares.

Dotting in with this character. I'll be posting with my main until I settle on a name to avoid locking the name.

I would like to build my own character.

I think the Sewer Dragon background is substantially similar to the Hookclaw, they would be allies with the Hookclaw clan. Or perhaps a trading partner. Would it be alright if I took the Sewer Dragon background with the Tunnel heritage?

I'm pretty open as to class.

I have not yet played a thaumaturge. I have an unplayed PFS thaumaturge waiting on deck so I don't want to steal that build (amulet). However, there are also other thaumaturges that seem really cool (bell, chalice, mirror, regalia).

I've also been waiting to play: archer monk, weapon or armor inventor, any psychic, non-water kineticist.

Maybe you built a wearable / wieldable engine that cleanses sewer water and has a refuse-burning combustion function?

Putting up a regalia thaumaturge as a placekeeper. He's the Paragon of Our People, or "Pop" for short. Definitely do not call him "Poop." :) And definitely call him bronze-scaled, and not brown-scaled.

I will take Izni the Druid, unless someone else wants her in which case I may make a Magus. Those are two classes I haven't played.

Although I'd add a healer's toolkit for Izni, since she's trained in Medicine but lacks the tools to use it (she has the money, so I don't have to make a change to the pregen she can just buy it).

Just to let everyone know, beside the pregens I put also BB code for them. @Watery I don't mind your PC being Sewer Dragon, so it is fine.

@Rainzas - the name Jakub why did you chose it? Asking out of curiosity. The name exists in polish language, its shorten version is Kuba, it is moderately popular.

I will wait for all players to checkin and decide who they play.

My brother irl has that name, spelling not exact.

Hey all, dotting in. So I have not done any Organized Play in 2e and have a question: if I build a character instead of using a pre-gen, does that then become my organized play character, who earns experience from playing this?

I am leaning towards either a fighter, ranger, or rogue - digging into the remastered classes at the moment to try and understand it all.

We are playing in campaign mode, so effectively your character, whether you use an actual prejen or make a character from scratch, counts as a prejen.

No.

As rainzax said, we're in Campaign mode, so you could even play a character which is not legal in PFS, for example, using an Uncommon background without a boon. Some of the pregens in other scenarios are not actually PFS legal. Character creation is at the GM's discretion in Campaign Mode.

Additionally, you can rebuild your character at will until you play your first scenario at 12 XP (Level 2) or more. So, if you want, you can play 12 different 1 XP adventures at Level 1 and then "lock in" your favorite when you hit level 2. It's a fun way to get to know all the classes. (The buying and selling rules still apply, though, so you'll lose a bunch of money when selling stuff.)

For curiosity, what is the phonetic pronunciation of Kuba?

Like Cuba the country or Cubs the baseball team? Perhaps something else?

Yeah I PM"ed him on friday, the same day as I dm'ed wanderer ;) Early next week I will kick this off, and worst case we will bring his kobold day/2-days later to the party.

@wandered82 - yeah in here we are playing campaign mode, you can create your own lvl 1 PC with only restriction from me, that it needs to be kobold. At the end of this game you will get 1 XP and other rewards to your PC of choice, you can create a blob and just get rewards to this number, and then create the organized play PC, but you simply need a PFS number

Okay, since nobody has said anything, I'm going to start locking down on Pop. I'll switch him over to a STR-based thaumaturge as a flanking buddy for Jakub.

grimdog73 responded that some real life issues have come up and they will bow out of this one. I will make an initial post, to let you introduce your PCs and also distinguish, who have a PC vs who does not ;)

I am still leaning toward a fighter with a two handed weapon, but am also exploring barbarian, ranger, and cleric.

Hey mate, I have waited few days, but i decided to kick it off today. If you can bring your PC within the next 24 h I can bring you into the fight, otherwise I will assume that you decided to not play here.

This week will be tough, and starting from next week I will be away from home, that is why I need ot get into the rythm, as waiting on PBP is not my strong suit.

Question. What ability do Glutton's Jaw use to attack? Dexterity or Charisma (since it's a spell). It seems to be dexterity, but I want to be sure.

Hey folks, we are close to being done here. SO again, please fill in rpg chronicles so that I can generate the chronicles ;) Keep in mind that this adventure gives 1 XP (like quest) but full gold and fame. So from benefit point of view, it is great to bump your gold stash on high lvl pc. Or to equalize your off XP score (but I think the gold is better and working on your OCD in terms of XP scores ;) ).

The goal is to finish this before gameday, to have more capacity.
