Edda disables the fire trap! You soon discover that the apparent treasure in the room is a mound of fake gold coins that sits in the middle of chamber as a lure to thieves, invaders and other particularly dangerous types of interlopers. The “coins” in this area are small stone discs covered with a thin veneer of gold‑colored paint.

The Pathfinder Carine is truly dead, likely killed by the fire trap, but you can recover her body and help escort Dalver to one of the mobile surgeries operated by the Pathfinder Society during missions like this.

Speaking of medical care, the medical corps cares for you long enough that you go out to your next mission fully healed.

There is always time to refocus, heal, and repair equipment between encounters in this section, so we will heal you up.

ONE RESCUE SUCCESS, COMPLETED!

Silverbeard stares daggers at the fake treasure. ”That’s cheating, that is!”, he grumbles.

Molly stares at him. ”Says the most honorable of pirates”

”There’s lines ye don’t cross, lass!”, he affirms.

Once the mobile hospital releases you from their care, it's time to go exploring again. You travel for a ways down multiple twisting tunnels until you arrive at a series of archways.

SLIDE 18

The archways leading into the next chamber have been barricaded with mounds of junk, rock, and other debris. Voices mutter on the other side, though as they are speaking in Draconic, only Fiorel can understand them at the moment.

"আরো দানব কুকুর এখন আসা. শ!"

Draconic:

"More monster dogs come. Shh!"

They sound a bit like they are hissing.

Nikebei takes one of the stones anyway, paint or not, gold is gold. It might make a nice trimming on a plate, should she ever get to serve a fine dinning meal. Though you would find it hard to believe that she could do such a thing, given that her clothes now smell of grease and burnt cloth. Her apron more singed than before she takes some time to repair it as best she can.

Returning to the hospital point, she is amazed how quickly the doctors and nurses can patch her up, even quicker than she can patch her apron! She takes the time to thank them all and offers to cook them up[ something special when she gets back, Eyeballs of Warg, in a flambe cognac sauce...hmm she thinks.

I am looking for a certain number of successful checks / Friendship Points to befriend them, to say the least. Fioriel, Edda, Black Molly/Cap'n Silverbeard, and Nikebei can give it a try. If you don't want to, please tell me so still.

You have gained 4 Friendship Points, enough to convince the kobolds that you mean no harm.

"We live within the Maze of the Open Road, which we were pulled into accidentally a few years ago. Recognizing the maze as a place of power, we chose to remain within it even after the Pathfinders and Eliza Petulengro repaired it. We left the maze to hunt and wound up here, where a monster dog chased us. We barricaded ourselves in this chamber out of fear and confusion. DC 19 Crafting or Engineering Lore check, or a DC 20 Arcana or Occultism check to Identify Magic:
You know the pools are ancient devices that are used as a temporal scrying mechanism that siphons energy from the Dimension of Time and harnesses it to view the past, present, and future. The degradation of time has diminished their powers though. Looking at it now, they function erratically and what times they view can’t be controlled or manipulated.

The fluids in the pool are colored blue, green and red.

Looking at the Blue Pool:
The pool reflects a large crowd gathering outside a stone structure on an island in the middle of a lake. This is a vision of the exterior of the ruins the party now explores, shortly after construction was finished. Amid the crowd are humans, Small draconic people with red scales, ratfolk, and Large humanoids with four arms and prominent tusks.

Looking at the Green Pool:
The green pool reflects a Large draconic figure dressed in warm clothes amid a snowstorm, toiling over a metal and glass sarcophagus. Anyone who has seen the sarcophagus in the temporal vision in the ovoid vault recognizes this pod.

Looking at the Red Pool:
The red pool reflects a tall, slender man with an elongated head, four arms, and gray skin traversing an icy tunnel. A prominent badge decorates his armor—a starburst similar to a compass rose.

Going over to the Red Pool which might be a fiery water pool, she looks into the pool, hoping to see crystal clear red water, which would at least give her an idea it was safe. Instead she sees something else, "There's a big tall man in this pool, but he doesn't look like he's drowning? Oh wait a minute, he's got four arms!" she says with alarm. "And he's going through a tunnel, made of ice. He must be cold, his skins turned grey. Wait a minute, look he's wearing a big bold badge looks like some sort of compass thingy made up of stars."

On the other hand, Nikebei prepares and serves food from the available supplies she has. Fortunately, she has enough for everyone to fill their bellies.

"Thank you for the food. However, we may be staying here for a while. I understand if you have a secret mission; I won't detain your group for long," Itzi tells them before the Pathfinders depart.

TEMPORAL POOL SUCCESS!

The Pathfinders continue with their mission and arrive at a certain triangular chamber. At the far end of this triangular chamber is a stairwell that rises into darkness, flanked by a pair of dull copper statues. A deep feminine voice calls out from up the stairs, “Felise? Is that you?” From the east wall, a glowing purple crack emanates an eerie baying.

As the party approaches the chamber’s center they hear a pitieous moan (DC 17 Will save), and the three statues begin to move, positioning themselves to attack! The purple crack’s glow intensifies as the statues begin their advance, and the party feels time dilate, first slowing drastically, then speeding up. In a few moments, they witness all times at once, overlapping within this chamber. The statues crumble to dust, reform, then crumble again while countless souls move back and forth through the room.

Piteous Moan (aura, auditory, emotion, mental, occult) 60 feet. :
Each non-<redacted> creature that enters or starts its turn within the area must succeed at a DC 17 Will saving throw or become sickened 1 (sickened 2 on a critical failure). The creature then becomes temporarily immune for 1 minute.

Sickened :
You feel ill. Sickened always includes a value. You take a status penalty equal to this value on all your checks and DCs. You can't willingly ingest anything—including elixirs and potions—while sickened. You can spend a single action retching in an attempt to recover, which lets you immediately attempt a Fortitude save against the DC of the effect that made you sickened.
