The Starfinders do a thorough search of the cavern.

"A tent was likely pitched here. I can also see footprints and lines in the frost which indicates pieces of equipment were hauled out of the mine from here."

"Yes, there does seem to be a link to AbadarCorp here or at least someone affiliated with AbadarCorp. Our main priority is helping to find a cure of course but this is disturbing evidence if we find that this disease was created in a lab."
"Now, we need to get back."
Interesting but highly circumstantial evidence. We will see if it will play out once we get back.

George 09-23 hands over the live sample that he took of the creature.
"Hopefully this will help to find a cure."
"It would seem that AbadarCorp or someone affiliated with them was at the First Bore site before us. Exactly what their link with this virus is unclear and circumstantial but it is there."

GM Jhaeman |

Dr Monsylkis offers a hurried, but very sincere, thank you as she takes the sample and rushes off to her laboratory.
Meanwhile, Firstsight Taksta reacts with concern after hearing about a possible link AbadarCorp. "I remember something . . . let me see if I can find it in my records." The epraska fidgets with the datapad strapped to her arm for several seconds. "Oh yes, here it is! Five AbadarCorp environmentalists were granted permits to do research here. They left on a private shuttle on . . . whoa! They left just a few days before the gutmelt outbreak started!"

George 09-23 nods seeing so many data points leading in the same direction.
"Well. there may be a link between the two but more research is required. I would be interested in knowing if the gunmelt virus was manufactured in a lab."

GM Jhaeman |

Firstsight Taksta nods. "That would be a revelation indeed! Well, thank you all so much for your efforts! Dr Monsylkis will work tirelessly to manufacture a cure. The residents of Glimmershield will not soon forget the efforts of the Starfinder Society!"
The return trip to Absalom Station is uneventful.
Venture-Captain Naiaj looks distracted, her face in her datapad as usual, as you begin to relate the outcome of the mission. Suddenly though, she slams her fist on the table and shouts. “You unethical pieces of –” before calming herself; the source of her frustration is immediately obvious: the datapad in front of her displays a popular infosphere news page proclaiming the headline, AbadarCorp develops miracle drug for gutmelt!
“Do you see how much they’re charging for it?” Naiaj rants, shoving the screen towards you. She taps a four-figure credit sum with her stylus for emphasis. “That price is per dose. They’re presenting this as a gods-sent medical breakthrough to relieve suffering, and they’re going to charge victims out their noses for it! It’s not even a cure! It says here that the drug is a routine treatment!”
Naiaj sets the datapad down with exaggerated gentleness and exhales loudly. “Please tell me you found something on Zeyther-3 that can provide an alternative to these thieves.”

Scottermander sighs looking at the datapad. I see what you mean ... yes. That does seem ... rather excessive. Still, Dr Monsylkis is working on a cure. The strange thing was, we did find evidence of Abadarcorp out there.
He show Naiaj the images they had taken in the ice cave.

George 09-23 puts his trust in science.
"It is not direct evidence and AbadarCorp probably has the best lawyers in the known universe. I would not want to lock horns with them."
"Let us put our hope in Dr. Monsylkis to come up with a vaccine."

GM Jhaeman |

Naiaj peers at the evidence Scottermander shows her, her facial expression changing from a frown with furrowed brow to a wickedly triumphant grin.
She rubs her hands together with glee: “Brilliant! Superb work, team! That sounds more than enough evidence to blow the lid off this case of corporate corruption.”
She frantically taps at her datapad as she continues speaking: “All I need to do is call in a few favors to get this info through to the right channels. Your expose, combined with Dr Monsylkis’s treatment reaching the market as competition, is going to hit AbadarCorp where it hurts. And don't be such a cynic, George! Today’s the day we snatch our credits out of the hand of the pharmaceutical profiteers and give them back to the people!”
Ok folks, that's an official wrap!

In a dark part of the Spire complex. Rattus spots a large vesk. The vesk shouts. "It's too late for that Solo. You may have been a good smuggler, but now you're Wyrm fodder!"
"I was just going to see your boss. Tell him I've got his money!"

Istilnar has nothing to say at the completion of the mission. He simply walks out of the Lorespire Complex into the Absalom Station night.
