Hmm, what exactly is a "round"? Lol!
Putting aside this irrelevant thought for now, Kang changes tactic, looking to buy time. Again, he starts chanting, but this time a more long drawn out incantation. But soon, a rift appears in the space in front of the ascendant and what appears to be a giant skunk is pulled through. Disturbed by the monster in front of it, it lifts its tail and sprays a foul-smelling blast into the Ascendant's face!
◆◆◆ Cast Spell (Summon Animal 2: Giant Skunk)
The giant skunk propels potent, acrid musk in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the line must attempt a DC 17 Fortitude save.
Critical Success The target is unaffected.
Success The target is sickened 1.
Failure The target is sickened 3.
Critical Failure The target is blinded for 1 round, becomes sickened 3, and takes a –2 penalty to Stealth checks from the horrific odor for 24 hours or until the musk is removed or neutralized, requiring 10 minutes of thorough scrubbing with soap.
It will autosucceed. Just hope it's not another crit success (grrr...). At the very least, it would hopefully cause some distraction.
Giant Skunk AC 16; Fort +8, Ref +9, Will +4; HP 21
By the way, if anyone needs "healing", Kang can create juggernaut mutagen will gives 10 tmp hp.

Just FYI, the resistance is 7. The Ascendant has taken -118 hp damage, and is sitting at 47/165. I'm going to assume Farnguy can't deal enough damage to destroy it.
As soon as Farnguy acts, The Ascendant's mortal body can’t contain the powerful entity that animates it, and its physical form disintegrates with a resounding scream. Linneus’s essence diffuses back into the trading post, spent but not destroyed.
End of Combat!
However, by outlasting Linneus' consciousness, the Pathfinders gain enough time to seal the artifact without further complications. As soon as the Covetous Flame is sealed in the chest, the trading post begins to crumble. Everyone remaining in the trading post flees.
As the sun rises over the ruins of Devil’s Rest, the survivors gather to take stock of their injuries and mourn their losses. One of the Pathfinders notices a flash of red beating wings against the dawn sky as Zirzip zooms away to enjoy his newfound freedom.
Maeri, who passed the night in the stable tending her faithful horses, surveys the destruction with a stoic expression and remarks, “I reckon we’d best head back to Nerosyan.”
If the Pathfinders invite any of the survivors to share their return journey, the NPCs accept enthusiastically, and Maeri grumbles about overworking her animals.
In Nerosyan, the Pathfinders reunite with Venture-Captain Jorsal of Lauterbury to report their findings. Jorsal solemnly listens to the report and commends them for their resourcefulness.
Jorsal summons a page to bear the chest with the Covetous Flame away for more permanent containment. Despite the destruction of the trading post, the purification of the haunted crossroads impresses the Farheaven Clan, members of the Vigilant Seal faction, and other groups dedicated to eradicating corruption across Golarion. As word spreads, the Pathfinders’ success is certain to inspire new alliances and cow potential enemies.
