Does 9-09 start in Kaer Maga, or just outside Kaer Maga? I want to know so that my sister and I can start roleplaying. From what I remember of Kaer Maga, it is possible to enter in several different places:
If you can tell me where we are, I'll set the scene and start some pre-game roleplay.

Oh, and I also added to your macros on the slides the information from the characters who have their profiles listed in the campaign, and I gave you a few bonus slides.

Via the Halflight Path
Via the broken part of the ring, where there is an open-air market. If you can tell me where we are, I'll set the scene and start some pre-game roleplay.
Actually, It was going to be a surprise where you're starting. I had something special planned, but, I can always change it according to your roleplay.
You'll receive the details of your mission at the Grand Lodge of Absalom.
Thank you for the bonus slides!

Surprises can be fun!

Grand Lodge? Alright.

I posted something. Starhall has a library, so I figure that it might be a place where numerous people can show up if they wish.

![]() |

Sorry about bumping into you, Farien, but I wanted our characters to interact.

GM Roll4initiative |

The library is a perfect place for you all to start and gives me a good idea for an introduction to your mission.

GM Roll4initiative |

Great roleplaying, everyone! Keep it up!
I would like to point out though, that none of you have received a mission yet. The way you receive your mission for this adventure is a... surprise. ;)

You sure we haven’t been given a mission, only to be pulled off on to some other mission at the last minute? That seems to be the level of planning typical of Pathfinder Society, :)

![]() |

The game has not officially started, so I would think you are fine shopping.

![]() |

Sorry, not +4, +2 headband of vast intellect and the price is 4000g. My mistake. He will also get a 1st level pearl of power for 1000g. And lastly a handy haver sack for 2000g. Total of 7000g.

GM Roll4initiative |

Yep. You can shop after your last mission or on your way to the library for whatever reason you're there. There will also be time after the mission briefing (which is standard protocol for any scenario).
You are free to introduce yourself in any way you'd like. You do not need to be at the library, however, it is best if you are staying overnight somewhere in the Grand Lodge.

After finding out what spells Salvio has to trade, Iovo expresses interest in the Expeditious Retreat, Identify and Shield spells.
Spellcraft take 10 for a 24.
I have now updated my profile with the list of spells I currently have in my spellbook.
I can’t remember if you are allowed to copy non-core spells from another player or not, but will pass on Spark.
*GM takes out massive stamp of approval, brushes with ink, and stamps chronicle sheet*
*THUNK*
Yes, you can copy non-core scrolls from chronicles and other players just like how you're allowed to purchase non-core items from chronicles.

@GM Roll4initiative:
Sorry for dragging my feet until now...
Seelah can meet the others in the library or just barely miss them - what do you prefer?

In the library is good.

Seelah 4 pregen |

Library it is, then. ;-)

@Damiar: Seelah has changed her clothes for the sake of the librarians (who certainly would hate the noise she makes in plate armor), so she's not wearing her armor right now.

Fixed my post!

Tomorrow is the big day! I'll get this game rolling tomorrow. I live in Denver (US Mountain time) so I'll start us sometime late morning my time.

GM Roll4initiative |

APL is at 4.5
(27 total levels divided by 6 equals 4.5)
That means we do the high subtier (6-7) with 4-player adjustment, correct?

Divide the total number of character levels by the number of characters in the party, rounding to the nearest whole number. If the result of the Average Party Level calculation ends with 0.5, the players should decide whether to round up or down.
I vote we round down.

I second that.

I think down also. I played this in high tier, though it will probably be totally different with all the flexability built in the scenario. But we had a good group of 6 PCs and almost got wiped out. We ran away at one point (a first for me in a PFS scenario). It was a blast and I had a great time. Farlen, for one, is much less tricked out than the members of that group. Plus, we are core with less fancy dodads and wizbang abilities. Playing down will probably still be very challenging.

![]() |

Psst... Markus. I think that Ezekial is too low level to join us.

GM Roll4initiative |

Sorry, if we are pushing this too fast let us know. I don’t want to preclude anyone from participating.
Pacing is just fine with me. I prefer fast-paced games. I like to (and am able to) post twice or more a day. I'll try to slow it down to 1 to 1.5 posts/day.

GM Roll4initiative |

Hey, yeah. Where did Ezekiel come from? I didn't even notice! Lol.
Unfortunately, he is too low of level for this. He's also not Core with the Enforcer Feat and the 2 traits. It's tier 3-6, currently being played at subtier 3-4. If you have a Core Campaign PC in tier though, post in Discussion or Recruitment so I can check to make sure it's Core first.
Updated.

Ezekial's player is already playing in the game. He's playing our monk, Markus. I think it was just a matter of getting a little confused about which character is where.

Ahhh. The ol' "Which game am I in?" thing.

The GM is making me hungry!
Right? Lol!
It's a Saturday and I'm just chilling in my backyard at my grill. Also, I vaguely remember a post of yours from long ago about cookies. Bringing cookies to a game or something? Stroopwaffles come to mind.

<Innocent look>
What would we know about Stroopwaffles?
:)

We'd know that it is one of the most fun words to say on the planet. Try it. Stroopwaffles.
When we played with Tineke at PaizoCon, VC of the Nederlands, she brought stroopwaffles for everyone to try.

…and we brought our half-orc pair, the Blues Brothers. At one point in the adventure we set up to do a concert in order to raise money, got the whole group involved. Had a bouncer, someone that would provide fake IDs, plus a band to play and alcohol.
Of course, none of this was in the scenario.

That was the scenario that turned into an eight hour run. And she went with every crazy thing the group came up with.

Amazing how one person remembering that “Hey, maybe it is time to bring up my defenses” can cause a flurry of activity!
:)
I have most certainly been the one who is reminded by someone else doing it at times.
