Let's talk out-of-character stuff here.
| GM Frost |
Hello, everyone! Welcome to the game. Before we officially begin, I'd like to go over a few important instructions that will ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all:
1. Please sign-up for the game on the provided Sign-Up Sheet (linked above) and enter the essential information your GM needs for your Chronicle: Player Name, Character Name, Organized Play Number, Character Number, among others. We will use the RPG Chronicles website for this purpose.
2. Please take a moment to fill out the required information on page 2 of Slides and Maps (linked above) for character tokens and marching order. Additionally, make sure to update the Macros (linked above) on any available Sheet between Player 1 to Player 6 for your character’s basic information, core stats, and skill modifiers. This will help us start promptly.
3. To facilitate easy reference, ensure your character's stat block/header includes the following information: Hit Points (HP), Armor Class (AC), Saving Throws (Fortitude, Reflex, and Will), Perception bonus, and Speed.
4. If you need area templates (burst, cone, emanation, line) for your spell or aura, they can be found on pages 3 to 7 of the Slides mentioned earlier. You can copy and paste them onto the Encounter Map (linked in the initiative tracker during combat/encounter). These templates are already adjusted for the Encounter Map we will use, so no resizing is necessary. They are also available under my alias GM Frost as Area Templates.
5. Please be active in the game and make a post at least once every day, and once on weekends. As per the Organized Play Foundation Community Standards and Expectations, we adhere to the principle of "Explore, Report, Cooperate." Therefore, any non-consensual character-versus-character conflict is strictly prohibited. Before including fellow PCs in damaging effects, players must obtain their consent. Violating this rule may result in Infamy points and potential consequences for your character's playability. This rule does not apply in situations where a character is under the control of an NPC and forced to attack a fellow Pathfinder.
6. During combat, we will be using a block initiative system. PCs in the active block can post their actions, which I will usually resolve in the order they are posted. Players can choose to delay their actions until after another character has acted.
7. To make things clearer during Encounter Mode, please use the following symbols when labeling your actions: ◆ for a single action, ◆◆ for a two-action activity, ◆◆◆ for a three-action activity, ↺ for a reaction, and ◇ for a free action.
8. Above all, let's remember that the goal is to have fun and enjoy the game together! :)
Thank you, and let's embark on this exciting adventure!

OK, I think I've filled out everything correctly. Please let me know if I missed something or screwed up.
Geshko and Animal are usually scouting ahead in open areas, but in dungeon type situations tend to hang towards the rear of the party. Not sure how that affects the marching order.
| GM Frost |
We have two weeks left before we can start the game. You can introduce yourselves already in the gameplay, being summoned by the Society in Kyonin (based on the scenario description here), before we can start the game on September 4.
Also, I would like the following to fill in what is needed on those linked above:
Elias - Slides (page 2), Macros
Mibli - Slides (page 2), Macros
Miss Sorbet - Sign-Up Sheet, Slides (page 2), Macros
Eovar - all good
Khaldan - all good
Geshko - all good
Anyone with glyphs, this is your chance to share them for extra hero points.
Elias, Beastkin Barbarian
|
1 Glyph
Elias is a new character. I have a character sheet built for him, but I haven't put it in his profile yet. Once I get that done, I'll get the Macros and Slides as well.
Miss Sorbet, Chain of Aster
|
Traveling, will complete over the weekend.
Mibli
|
^Correct, PFS 1e GM Stars don't carry over to PFS 2e. Stars are for 1e, Novas are Starfinder, and Glyphs are for 2e.

Apparently this was a lie and I'd already done it. Huh.
Macros and Slides now also done.| GM Frost |
You can begin the intro and roleplay even before the game starts on September 4. Anything from the scenario will not be posted prior that date.
Miss Sorbet, Chain of Aster
|
Updated stuff. I have one glyph to give away to one of the 1st level characters.
Alphabetically: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Hero point for Khaldan al Tephu.
Elias, Beastkin Barbarian
|
Another one: 1d2 ⇒ 2
And one for Eovan.
| GM Frost |
A few days left before we can officially start the game. Looking at the Sign-Up Sheet, Slides, and Macros, I think we are all set. Glyphs are also distributed. You can begin introductions at the gameplay thread but the game will officially start on Sept 4.
Khaldan al Tephu
|
Hero point for Khaldan al Tephu.
Thanks Miss Sorbet!
Miss Sorbet, Chain of Aster
|
Combat first. I am mostly apathetic after that.
| GM Frost |
Let's do Travel Event #1: Forest Campsite next.
Elias Rages
|
Elias's AC is 18, or 20 with his shield raised.
I have a different profile set up (this one), for when he rages.
I mostly did it to have a different profile picture, since his rage is a morph effect, but since I was doing it anyway I didn't put any rage stats in the main profile. Plus it's less confusing. He potentially has four different ACs!

As part of the Hunt Prey action, Geshko's Monster Hunter feat lets him Recall Knowledge, with a +2 for his Outwit Hunter's Edge. How do you do secret checks on the boards?
If Elf A1 is undead, Religion is +4, (+6 total)
If they are merely cursed- Occultism is +5, (+7 total, unless Oddity Identification applies.)
| GM Frost |
I will roll the check for Recall Knowledge secretly.
| GM Frost |
Looks good to me, as long as they are properly labeled including the type of damage.
Eovar Cerin
|
Ugh, when I come up it is when I am asleep then head to work. Then by the time I get home I get botted. Just frustrated with 12 hour shifts currently. Sorry for slowing down combat.
| GM Frost |
I have a different timezone (UTC +8), if it matters. I check and post in the morning and evening to keep things going here. I usually just delay actions to give you the chance to post unless we are getting behind schedule. Part 2 is a bit early, actually, for some reason, but we need to pick up the pace of the current encounter a bit to stay on track with the game's timeline
Elias, Beastkin Barbarian
|
I think the parts are kind of supposed to come early. They're triggered by milestones like number of reported successes, they just also have a time limit if that threshold isn't reached.
Mibli
|
Mibli votes for (in order of character preference):
(1) Have You Seen Something?
(2) Securing Sanctuary
(3) Unnerving Omens
Khaldan al Tephu
|
My votes for missions in order of character preference:
(1) Exploration Event 3: Securing Sanctuary (Investigation, Skill Challenge)
(2) Exploration Event 2: Unnerving Omens (Combat)
(3) Exploration Event 1: Have You Seen Something? (Investigation, Diplomacy)
Elias, Beastkin Barbarian
|
(1) Exploration Event 4: On Patrol (Combat)
(2) Exploration Event 3: Securing Sanctuary (Investigation, Skill Challenge)
(3) Exploration Event 2: Unnerving Omens (Combat)
| GM Frost |
| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Let us have Securing Sanctuary and then followed by Unnerving Omens.
Elias, Beastkin Barbarian
|
And everyone collides, all choosing the same task.
| GM Frost |
It looks like I have not thrown a hero point yet after Part 1. I am giving one to Mibli!
| GM Frost |
Yes, both are swarms.
Khaldan al Tephu
|
Was Elias splashed because I missed? I was intending to delay until after Elias, so that he was no longer adjacent but probably should have included that in the OOC section in my post.
| GM Frost |
Yes. I can allow you to delay your actions and do it after Elias since the Swarm will still be there when it gets to his turn, so he won't takes any splash damage
Geshko Hawthorne
|
Geshko offers his Healers Tools to anyone that can use them and asks they also attempt to treat Animal's bites.
(The full night's rest brings Geshko up to full, but Animal is still down 5)
Miss Sorbet, Chain of Aster
|
Miss Sorbet will still be down 9 HP after the rest. She can Treat Wounds, but at +4 hopes there is someone better at it.
Mibli
|
I'm not entirely certain but I think the GM decided to automatically activate the benefit for us, so I think we get the benefits of a full night's rest for sure. If that's the case, Mibli can probably help top people off with Heal before the rest occurs since her spell slots would renew.
Geshko Hawthorne
|
After the rest:
Animal is down 5
Elias is down 7
Miss Sorbet is down 11
Mibli is down 11
Medicine checks should be done first for free healing. Any Heal spells can top off those still wounded. Prioritize those down more health! ^_^
