Morela |
Bordle doesn't want to kill these guys. No really, she doesn't. They're just doing their job, even though their employer turned out to be a ... complete douchebag.
So she moves behind a shrubbery and shoots Red with her Voltaic Anchor Pistol which does non-lethal damage.
[dice=vap]d20+4 [dice=electricity]1d6+2
Stand down, please she pleads.
Morela approaches the bodybears, her blue butterfly armor forming around her. The glowing light over her shoulder is edged in white.
”You should listen to her”, she adds.

Zint suffers the curse of randomness as his entropic energy dissipates in the air, while Morela forms her signature butterfly armor.

Botting Shari:
Not rolling sleight of hand, since Orgo is already FF
Laser Pistol: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 - Fire vs EAC
Extra damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Burning: 1d4 ⇒ 3
DICEBOT love you!
DM Kludde |
The poor blinded uplifted bear is now on fire, thanks to a bullseye hit by Shari.
Hammer, vs Zint: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 221d8 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Hammer, vs Checker, miss chance (high is good): 1d100 ⇒ 741d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 261d8 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Omo starts a game of 'skitterpolo', as he hits Zint with his heavy hammer. Orgo, still blinded, swipes wildly at the area in front of him, and actually manages to connect with Checker.

Shari seems like she's going to leave here- but no! She takes a step to the right so that nothing blocks her line for a shot, and does it as always suddenly.
Laser Pistol: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 111d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 - Fire vs EAC
VS RED
DM Kludde |
Bordle lines up a shot with Omo, who aptly dodges the incoming fire. Shari takes aim at Orgo, but only singes the armor of the bear.
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Kareeda tries to take Omo out of the fight, but fails to gain traction on the bear's mind.

Chip watches Checker burst apart from a blow that... it probably couldn't have weathered even if he'd had the time to repair it. Dang.
Well, the drone could be rebuilt. It had taken the hit instead of a Starfinder, which was, after all, its primary purpose.
Still, dang.
And without it, Chip's contribution in a fight is limited. Still, he might hit an opponent in this situation. He fires shots at the blinded bear.
Full attack: Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 for fire damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 and Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 for fire damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1; oh, critical burn 1d4.
DM Kludde |
Chip makes the most of his abilities now that Checker faced his inevitable demise
Extra damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Burn!: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Being blinded and on fire is enough to break even the staunchest of mercenaries. Orgo starts rolling on the floor, trying to put out the fire. It very much looks like Omo is on his own.
Nod your head

Omo takes a swing with his hammer at Morela
Hammer, Morela: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 - 2 = 121d8 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
The photon-attuned Solarian nimbly evades the blow
Crowd participation time: 1d100 ⇒ 5
The crowd keeps throwing fan material, but it looks like they ran out of those heavy Abysshead items, and the paper Rainbow Sparkle Explosion banners aren't nearly as effective.

Have I ever told you how I got these scars, buddy? We were posted in 'tar, it was supposed to be an easy mission. One more mission before retirement, easy money, protect some princess. It all went smoothly until the crowd started lobbing grenades at us. Grenades! I couldn't see a thing, and we had snipers left and right, dropping horrible fire bombs on us. It was the worst fight I've ever been in...

Zint can't just sit there, he HAS to help so.. he does the smart thing. To him at least. He grabs his Doshko and... smashes the large uplifted bear in the knee...
Dochko time!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
B damage: 1d12 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Oh my..
crit damage: 1d12 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
He yells "Zint HELP!"
DM Kludde |
Chip lays down some covering fire. Omo looks distracted at his burning comrade rolling on the floor. Suddenly, the smoking bear is doused by a large body of water, causing Omo to exclaim You ok there, buddy?
What follow is a flash of blue, and a scream of anguish. Zint has managed to somehow lodged his blade between the armor plates of the bear, who is offering a high-pitched scream to offset the next few lines of song.
Stomp to the beat
As I make my move
The message is clear
Die or groove!
I am the dance dicator
Death to traitors!
Omo decides he has seen quite enough of this. While helping up Orgo, he shuffles out of the door.
Combat over!
Lita Starr has left the building.
Though the battle with the two mercenaries has slowed down the group, it should still be possible to pick up the trail to fleeing diva.
Assuming you do indeed want to chase and capture her, I need a Perception of Survival check. One main check is needed for the entire group, anyone not performing the main check can aid another.
DM Kludde |
Kareeda! spots a tiny bit of silvery hair that is stuck on a fence blocking an alleyway. The alleyway leads into an industrial part of the station.
The alley... is quite dirty... really dirty for somebody of the distinguished nature of Lita Starr. It is strewn with dumpsters and garbage, ready to be picked up.
I need an athletics (to plow through) or acrobatics (to circumnavigate check. Again, one check (+aid anothers) for the whole group
Kaleb "Chip" Leafgleam |
"I built a drone to help with this," Chip grumbles as he helps shove through--with his helmet up.
Athletics to Aid: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
DM Kludde |
After plowing through the garbage in the alleyway, the alley opens up to a wider, but crowded street. On the far end, the group spots the multi-colored outline of Lita Starr. All it take to get to her is for that huge crowd to just let you through.
Final check: Intimidate (to get people to move) or Stealth (to weave around them)
Kaleb "Chip" Leafgleam |
Okay, Checker wouldn't have been much help with this one.
Chip ducks under, trying to find a path for Bordle.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Shari Misraria |
Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Get out of the dawn way! Drow woman is clearly furious, walking quickly with grenades in her both hands. Her coat flutters on the move, showing ribbons with other grenades and as if hinting that she can be a hot thing in a sense that everyone around will not like at all. Go f*** away! Her gaze never leaves Lita Starr...
Zint |
As Shari gets everyone's attention and moving out of her way, Zint dodges and weaves at speed on four legs, often running under/between people's legs.
stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
He may have clipped that last Nuar though...
Oh, sorry!"
DM Kludde |
Between the Nuar and the Drow, there is enough scariness to part a sea. The crowd jumps aside, and they group finally catches up with the pop-star diva...
Lita doesn't have a smart retort this time, and station security is soon on site to apprehend her and take witness statements.
Unfortunately, it causes the group to miss most of the (now murder-attempt-free) remainder of the show. The groups returns just in time for the grand award ceremony...
The crowd waits with bated breath as Lynthia hands Radat a closed envelope before returning to her seat at the judge’s table. “Well, folks, here it is,” Radat says, waving the envelope in the air.
“The reason you came out tonight. The one and only Star Sugar Superstar!!!” The crowd cheers and Radat waits for the room to quiet again before continuing.
“But first, did I ever tell you about my last vacation to Absalom Station? It’s a really long and boring story…” The audience boos and Radat holds his hands up in a placating gesture. “All right, all right! You’ve made your point. Without further ado… the extremely official and formal title of Star Sugar Superstar goes to…
Ah, there's always the commercial break, isn't there?
“All right, all right! You’ve made your point. Without further ado… the extremely official and formal title of Star Sugar Superstar goes to… Radat repeats
"Sonic Tumult!” The crowd goes wild, cheering as the shocked and bewildered members of Sonic Tumult are led onstage to receive pink crowns shaped like frosted cakes.
DM Kludde |
Mission succes! There's still a wrap-up, which I'll post later. Please roll day jobs if you haven't already done so...
I might be a bit slow with chronicles, let me know if you need them urgently...
DM Kludde |
No day job too. It seems to be needed, but it seems that her skills are literally her profession... I don 't even know )
I'm missing your SFS info currently. Can you add it to the RPG Chronicle tracker above, please?
Kaleb "Chip" Leafgleam |
"Oh yeah. I almost forgot this was a contest."
Chip finds Checker broken but mostly intact where he left the drone (assuming nobody stole it attached it during the chase scene), but he has learned a few things and rebuilds Checker stronger and more durable.
Chip needs a day to rebuild Checker (because he's leveling up, not because it was destroyed).
Day job: Profession IT: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
DM Kludde |
I have the first draft of the chronicles up (link). Shari's is still missing (will generate wen I have info. Could you all check if the info is correct?
Edit: After a bit more insistence from the Minion's, I have now also managed to generate Shari's chronicle
DM Kludde |
Sonic Tumult perform one more time, which marks the close of Star Sugar Superstar. When the performance is done, the crowd goes home, leaving a mess of crushed cups, destroyed fan banner and a photocard or two that is signed 'chip'.
When the cleaning crew starts to work, Tsuchi-Ko comes up to the group.
“I haven’t had a chance to thank you for everything you’ve done,” she says. “In the grand scheme of things, it might not seem like a concert is that important, but we brought so many people together today, and your actions saved it from disaster. You helped spread love and joy in a time when we desperately need as much of it as we can get. It’s a tragedy that someone who was supposed to be sharing her joy and good energy with people was so twisted on the inside, but…” her gaze shifts to where the members of Sonic Tumult are being congratulated by several other contestants, “there’s going to be plenty of people ready to fill the space Lita Starr leaves behind.
Back at the Lorespire Complex, Zigvigix and Celita thank the group for their help with the event. Excellent job. We didn't know it was going to be this much drama. Celita says, and Zigvigix adds you know, just for you, we got you tickets to the Drift Crisis Revue...
A few weeks later, the group indeed meets up at the Drift Crisi Revue, as audience this time. It is the quite show, with Abysshead themselves headlining, closing with their popular favourite, the cheerful tune 'Hatred will destroy all'
Hatred will conquer
Pact worlds go under
Everyone will die!
Compassion is a lie!
As the lights come back on after Abysshead’s pitch-black performance, Zigvigix and Celita approach the PCs, Zigvigix with characteristic enthusiasm and Celita looking surprisingly relaxed.
“This couldn’t have happened without your help,” Celita says. “Your hard work kept the Star Sugar Superstar!!! contest from ending in disaster, which would have irrevocably stained what the Society was trying to accomplish with this event.”
“Yes!” Ziggy beams. “You helped make the Advocates’ first big charity event a runaway success. We’ve collected lots of credits for the Drift Crisis Relief Fund. Not enough to help everyone who’s suffered, but enough to make a difference in many lives.”

After the cheering, Bordle checks to see if Lita's two guards are okay. She even sends them get well presents.
At then end she nods at Zigvigix. Quite a lot, yes. I should have the final balance sheet prepared in a few hours. At least there aren't any taxes to pay on it.
Nice .... Bordle and Rani are also fans of Rainbow Sparkle Explosion

At the Abysshead concert Shari looks different. The business suit is left aside. Now she's wearing a leather jacket, latex and her hair is arranged in some kind of anime explosion. She jumps somewhere in the hall during a mash-up and howls furiously on lines about all-consuming hatred... It is very important to be able to relax after stressful everyday life in the corporate environment of chaotically evil demon worshippers.
Thank you all. It was a so great game!!
PS Chronicle looks good, thank you DM Kludde )
