Angel shoots the head off the SRO! Your quick victory is impressive, and earns the party 800 XP.
When the fighting stops, Jassk slowly rises from behind the counter, cowering and unfriendly, "WHAT THE HELL?! WHY ARE YOU BLOWING EVERYTHING UP?"

Aldo Cygnaurius |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

"Forgive us, Jassk. I just didn't want us to be shot up by Mk 2 and 4. They should not have shot first. But I trust that you are alright? Now, lead us onward to find Agavana. She can not get away."

Game Master S |

"WOAH! Agavana? Hey, I'm just.... yeah okay, so Agavana showed me some stuff. She took me to a hidden base, but she made sure not to tell me where we were going, and I have no idea where it is!”
He looks at the smoking piles of SRO and their weapons, then at your weapons, "Look, I think you've got the wrong idea. She's a passionate rebel and follower of Weydan. Man I saw stuff, people suffering from the worst toxin ever. She was HELPING them."

Aldo Cygnaurius |

"What do you mean by helping? Helping them to suffer? I may have the wrong idea about her, but that's why I want to talk to her. You've got to remember more than you have, my friend. Tell us, how do we find her? You must have some idea."
Aldo keeps things polite for the moment, and moves the conversation in a tone of helpfulness.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 + 1d6 ⇒ (16) + 15 + (6) = 37

Game Master S |

"I can't help you. I don't know more than what I've told you, and I don't know how to get to her.... unless.... she uses those Charity SROs a lot. Maybe one of them has something in their hard drive?"

Aldo Cygnaurius |

"Angel, or Chip, can one of you see if Mk 2 or Mk 4 has something in their innards that may give us a lead to finding Agavana?"
Turning back to Jassk, Aldo adds, "If you are concerned about the oathbreaker coming back for you, you can rest assured that we have an impeccable track record. We will be brining her in dead or alive. Either way, she will not cause you any more trouble and you will be able to live a nice quiet life here in your music shop. Just know that with her out and about, the prospect for making music goes down."

Game Master S |

"If you say so bub. Maybe instead you can help sweep up the store you just ruined with a firefight."

Game Master S |

Angel makes two discoveries. First, there's a Charity Mk5 too. Second, that Agavana has been living with Charity mk 5 in an abandoned temple of Weydan known as Liberator’s Sanctum. The ruins lie on a small coastal island several hundred miles northeast of Gaskari according to the data.

Aldo Cygnaurius |

"I am sorry that those robots ruined your store, and I admit that I spent my youth sweeping the edge, but it looks like you could have used a little renovation here anyway. We've got places to go and a monster to catch."
Turning to his crew, Aldo declares, "Well done, Angel. Let's go find Liberator's Sanctum."

Game Master S |

Rhonda immediately calculates a route. You'll be able to get close, maybe a 30 minute walk. The only way in is to land in a small clearing and take the bridge in. Hopefully they don't expect you....

Angel. |

"Close enough. They may be expecting us but, hey, how bad can it be, right? Also, we have to stop requesting jobs from the Agency for Moral Dilemmas. We need some easy cash!"

Game Master S |

Stepping over the smoking remains of Charity mk2 and mk4, the party departs (also leaving an exasperated Jassk to clean up.)

Game Master S |

The Liberator’s Sanctum served as a temple of Weydan for those who aimed to right the wrongs of the Veskarium. Gaskar’s original peoples built it atop a small coastal island called Yul, named for the vesk prophet Gaskar Yulalov, who preached against the Veskarium’s growing tyranny until his arrest and execution. The only way onto the island is by crossing Renunciant Bridge, named for radical disciples of Yulalov. A massive statue bearing Yulalov’s likeness still stands at the eastern side of the span.
It looks like a populated area, not a secret hide out. What's your approach look like?

Aldo Cygnaurius |

”Lets avoid any unwanted attention as long as possible, but the moment we are behind closed doors, draw those weapons. Let’s stay alert for any sneaking out from the oathbreaker.”

Game Master S |

Super busy today.... but if everyone could give me a flat d20 roll, hopefully when I get back everyone will have posted!

Game Master S |

Botting Angel: 1d20 ⇒ 17
The party approaches, crossing the bridge to the sanctum. Weirdly, after a few steps you feel like you're sloshing through ankle deep water, though the bridge is dry. Two steps forward and it feels like you're up to your knees. Angel looks down and sees the cause.
The dry bridge is a hologram!
She quickly points it out, and was the party realizes that there's a hologram covering the bridge, everyone fails to notice a massive creature plop itself on the side of the bridge!

The temple’s original denizens abandoned it when a cyclone destroyed the aboveground portions of the structure. The bottom levels have remarkably remained intact, though the rest of the structure has been completely destroyed. You enter to find yourselves at the base of stairs with choices on your next move.

Aldo Cygnaurius |

"Kaz, I'm glad you are thinking about our well being by grabbing some tasty clam strips! We will have a feast when this is all over. In the meantime, let's take a right and see where they takes us."
Aldo follows the soldier with his rifle drawn.

Chip the Android |

Kazador eyes the body of the giant bivalve monster they just killed. Does he think it could be fried up into clam strips?
Survival 1d20+7
Kaz, this creature specializes in illusions and holograms. I think that if you eat it, you'll only FEEL full immediately, and you'll be hungry again in half an hour.

Game Master S |

Kaz very quickly concludes that it would NOT be good eats, as they're poisonous! Map updated. You may have to scroll up.

”We are getting closer to Agavana. Be on your lookout. Remember we want to capture her alive. Also remember that she has avoided capture for over ten years, watch for her tricks.”
