Aerin is just as unsure as Manny is. The anger in her voice distorts her true intentions too much to be certain if she's truthful or not.

Atae is more experienced with using words to get what she wants, and she thinks the image is telling the truth, though she might be hiding some stuff, such as her true intentions.

At Raindrop's question, Sarnia sucks in her teeth. "There is... history between me and my family. Though they're influential, I'm not sure if they'd be willing to come rescue me. And though I have allies I could call on, my forces are in Shadow Absalom, and I dare not send my dreams through the Shadow Plane, which this island is a part of—I sense our foe is watching for that.

"And yes, I'm to blame for your disturbed rest. I shared my experience. I could have tempered it, but then you might not have acted. If you can’t handle a little bloody nose, what business do you have adventuring?"

At Aerin's list of questions, she chooses her words carefully, as if she's sorting through her own mind to look for the answers.

"I have no idea how I got captured, and I did not get to communicate with them. But I got to look into their mind, and I found the following plans set in motion." She counts them off on her fingers.

“Another dark pyramid that is in many places and none, teeming with undead, who surge forth to roam the streets of a desert city.
A den of lions plots to tear apart the leader of the pride, and points to treachery from hands that often tinker with magic and metal.
An insolent stag wields great power that is not his own to sabotage a high-profile party.
A leader abducted, locked among dusty echoes of lost history beneath leering devils.
A grand trial, where spirits of the dead stand in judgment, and self-righteous hands claim the spoils.”

Finally, at Zabu's question, she shrugs. "I believe my body slumbers elsewhere, though I have no idea where that is. If you defeat that foe, I hope I can free myself on my own."

I know a lot of Sarnia's backstory is explained in 2-07 The Blakros Deception. I'm willing to run that after this adventure if people are interested.
Other than that, again, I'm almost completely unfamiliar with the season 3 metaplot or its resolution, so I'm sorry for any potential inconsistencies.

Despite Atae's words, you have no idea where, or who, your mutual enemy actually is, so you're gonna have to do it the hard way.

You know something's most likely coming, so feel free to use any buffs/spells you want. Anything that lasts more than one minute, such as Heroism, since things don't kick into combat right away.

Sarnia says, "This will take a while. If anything happens, fight it off until I'm done."

Basically, you're going to have to survive an X number of time, or defeat all the enemies (defeating everything will most likely happen first, but you never know). After that, Sarnia is done and can share what she found.

Sarnia drifts down and places her hand on the pyramid’s stone. “Let’s see what you’re hiding.”

The dust vibrates with growing psychic force, while phantasms of stray thoughts manifest all about. The stars above turn into storm clouds, bathing the isle in eerie crimson as a mental presence starts to take shape.

Black smoke coalesces into three fiery, horse-shapes figures, smoke emanating from their mouths as they breathe.

I've moved everyone who hasn't moved their token yet into a position I think makes sense.

As the fiery horses appear, the ground starts to shake. Angry growths erupt from the isle, spewing black lightning and fire in every direction.
This is clearly a haunt of some kind. It can be disabled with Occultism to reshape the substance of the dream, or a Performance or Religion to invoke Desna's blessing through hymns or prayers. This is a two-action activity.

Orange horse acts first, and the black fumes it exhales thicken into choking smoke. The smoke causes Concealment (DC 5 flat check to target anyone within the smoke), and anyone starting their turn within it needs to make a DC 23 Fortitude save or be Sickened 2 (nothing happens on a crit fail). If you save, you're then immune to that creature's sickening effect. (I've given them circles to indicate the radius of their aura).

Orange strikes its hooves against the ground, and they catch fire. It then runs forward, rushing past Manny, Squash, and Aerin, leaving a trail of fire behind it.
Manny, Squash, and Aerin, please make me a DC 24 basic Reflex save or take 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2) = 10 fire damage!

It then tries to bite 1d2 ⇒ 2 Squash, but misses.
Jaws attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24

Purple then also rushes forward, flaming hooves scorching Manny, Raindrop, and her eidolon.
Manny, Raindrop, and your eidolon, please make me a DC 24 basic Reflex save or take 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1) = 7 fire damage!

It then tries to bite 1d3 ⇒ 3 Manny!

Aerin enlarges himself, which sadly makes him a bigger target for the horses. He chokes on the smoke, but manages to get some of it out again and hits Orange.

Now it's Yellow's turn to act. Since he has a nice big juicy target in front of him, he just bites and lashes out with his hooves twice.

Also, I realise that having the horse start right next to Aerin is a bit mean. It wasn't when he was still medium, but then he embiggened himself. It takes one action to stride closer, so Aerin is still standing at 10 HP.

After seeing the beating Aerin got, Manny bolsters the team's defenses.

Raindrop gathers her willpower and calms down the earth around her. It's not gone completely, but the earth it shaking much less violently now.

The clouds briefly depart as a heavenly light falls next to him. A humanoid woman with aquamarine skin and a serpentine tail descends in front of him. She unfurls her feathered wings and flexes her shoulder. "Boss, I'm just a figment of your imagination."

Manny shakes his head. "Sure. Sure. Right. Look. I need you to Ward us against damage. Can you help?"

She shrugs. "If that's what you want, I can help." With a wave of her hands, Manny and his allies feel a protective Ward form around them. "Don't die, Manny." The heavenly aura fades as she disappears.

"Wait! Help me disperse this haunt." She reappears with a harumph. "Fine, fine. You think I'm good with a harp."

No, it's not. Like I said, it's stupidly high. Occultism is the easiest (though still pretty hard, as hazard DCs usually are), Religion is a small step up, and Performance is the hardest of all. I'll spoil the DCs when things are over. Though looking at your skills, your best shot is still Performance.

Orange horse tries to stand up, but Squash's chain whips out, whirls around its neck and chokes the life out of it. it falls back to the floor, its remains slowly burning up.
There's something funky going on here, but you'll see eventually... Also, Squash managed to hit on a nat 2, due to prone and frightened. Well done!

Purple dashes back into the fray, hooves striking against the ground, causing fire to erupt and splash against the eidolon, Manny, and Squash.
